My rental was one-way for one day. However, when I returned the trailer after 22 hours, I was told I must pay for a 2-day rental. The U-Haul website said nothing about a minimum 2-day rental. I should get a refund of the second day which was not used. Please contact me.
Put snow tires on for local rental truck handled not well in snow loaded down and of course even worse unloaded. Other than that truck was very nice !

the back light in the bed didn't turn on. was hard to move things in the dark. the receiving store just took our keys when we dropped off the truck. said we were all set and we could leave, they didnt look over the truck with us. the guy stayed in store to help other customers. it was simple and easy.

Dropped off the U-Haul. Attempted to use the app that did it work. Asked staff for help for dropping off the U-Haul. They said that not to worry about it and it would be checked in just by leaving it. When receiving the final invoice we were charged an extra day.
The person at this location also answered all my questions and was very kind.

Make sure you check all the headlights before leaving. The low beams were out on the driver's side.

Gentleman who helped me was professional and great to work with.
1st off the guy working was very friendly and would do business here just by that. *Lansing on Waverly and Cedar far from friendly But... not sure who inspects the trailers but our had trash and moving blankets in it. The blankets said they were U-Haul property. Who knows what germs or bugs they had cause who knows where they were from. This alone made me want to return the trailer, but we were pressed for time. 3rd the chains kept coming off while driving. Talk about a major safety issue. When they were hooked at U-Haul the guy couldn't get them short enough so not hanging, but said they were fine. The 7 times in 2.5 hours to hook them was ridiculous. The first trailer we had the week before had rubber pieces to keep chain on. Not sure why these rusted chains didn't.
My original pick-up location was unexpectedly closed at my 3:45pm pick-up time. We were on a tight timeline, so it was very frustrating they didn't even give us a call. We were just left hanging. My original pickup location was Route 66 Oil Change in East Jordan, and I would rate them the lowest rating. The wait time on the 1-800-Go-Uhaul was at least an hour as we tried to figure out if another auto tow was available at another location. We ended up having to drive 40 minutes one-way to this location, and the staff was great. U-Haul issued a $50 credit for the inconvenience.
Friendly and helpful.
They had not had the dolly we wanted in two weeks. They did a great job with service recovery but it was not what we really needed. I feel there should be minimum thresholds at each store and if things need to be moved between stores to ensure the minimum's U-Haul should do this. Not having the equipment you need is very frustrating for both myself and the store. I know it would not be easy but it would be better customer service.
They were great here. I was in and out and will be returning there to rent equipment in the future.
