The truck was not clean and heavily damaged. Blankets all laid across the back of the truck and smelled terrible. Due to heavy traffic and rains I was less than 40 min late returning van. After waiting for 15 min in the truck as instructed to do by the signage and ignored by two Different employees who walked past the truck 3 Different times. I walked inside, finally was acknowledged and someone went out to check me in. I then was told I was being charged for another day and extra mileage. The mileage sure I drove further than I intended but I was returning it within 30 minutes of time. This is unacceptable customer service in my book and this is the last time I am going to using U-Haul. Far too many bad experiences and bad services. Penske snd enterprise have better vehicles, Much better service and don't charge someone for an entire extra day because the renter happens to be a few minutes late. I was checked in 38 min after I arrived. It's ridiculous and has lost U-Haul a customer whom has used U-Haul exclusively for years and has moved 4 times in the past 3 years. Bad customer service, bad truck, bad situation in general.

The young men that helped hook up the trailer were very courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with U-Haul throughout this experience. Although the car dolly which I was scheduled to pick up was not available in Indpls., U-Haul made it right! (Someone did not return the dolly as scheduled.) U-Haul located a car dolly for me. It was a bit of a drive, but I was credited $50 on a $75 rental! Towing a car for 200 miles for only $25 is unheard of. Thank you, U-Haul, for making it right!

Schwartz's hooked the wrong trailer number to my vehicle and as a result, I was charged a 628.00 wrong destination fee. They knew of the mistake and neglected to make the changes. Now I am trying to get uhaul to fix it

The back right taillight worked adequately but was not in the rubber gasket. Rest of trailer was in fine shape.

When reserving a combination Truck with Auto Transport, the complete package is expected. UHaul does not include the hitch to connect the truck to the transport. This was unexpected and should not be the case. A customer should not be expected to provide their own hitch when reserving both the truck and the transport. Luckily, this location switched me to a vehicle which had the connection.

Make sure trucks are at least at half full of gasoline so customers don't have to fill up immediately

Indicate which parking lot the vehicles are in for mobile check-in (East or West). I didn't even realize there was a whole other parking lot and it took a lot longer to find the U-haul.

When picked it up I was handed off to 3 different people before completeing the paperwork and paying for the rental. When I returned it I was told 3 times I needed to pay again trying to twist my pickup payment into a deposit. Eventually the person who completed my paperwork showed him were the screen he was looking at showed a $0 balance

update site to state UHAUL does not open till 8:30 instead of 8 am. I had to wait till for 30 minutes to site to open according to the workers.

Schwaetz's have always been there for us. This is probably the 6th time we've rented a U-Haul from them and each experience has been great, from they being able to accommodate our needs. FYI, moving is never a great experience.

Our paperwork was not printed properly. We were told one thing and the Uhaul website and paperwork said something else. We returned to the original location expecting they would correct the errors and instead were charged over $100 more!

I attempted to rent a truck at a location closer to my starting location, however the app and web-based reservation processes are not functional. I called the location and kept getting hung up on. I then called Schwartz's and they immediately answered the phone and got my reservation taken care of quickly. Schwartz's will get my business from here on out.

1. No one at the location was wearing a mask and when I got in the truck, it clearly hadn't been wiped down 2. Ten minutes before my scheduled pick up, I got a call saying there were no trucks at that location, and scheduled me for one an hour later 25 minutes away. I planned for 6 hrs and my new pick up time at the far away location became 4:00pm 3. I called customer service and was rudely hung up on by a inconsiderate cold woman. 4. I picked up the truck at 4:30pm. I returned it at 9:10pm. I got charged not only for the extra 20 miles because of the new pick up location, Uhaul charged me for dropping it off at night EARLY! This is the trashiest location I've ever been to, and have never had such terrible customer service both at the rental site and with the phone operators. I am a very kind level headed person who never complains even when there is hair in my food. This is the worst truck rental experience I've ever had and intend to write my first negative review of any business as a result. Shame on you Uhaul.

Tail lights were not working. Problem wasn't noticed until after nightfall because brake lights did work. Also light switch was pushed in making it difficult to manually turn on lights. Manual use didn't fix tail light issue. We had to end using truck due. Not satisfied with experience.

My contract had me dropping off at another location outside of noblesville and when I arrived the owner told me she doesn't accept big trucks there... very aggravating after a long day of driving and moving to have to drive to the downtown area of another location to drop off.
