I had to come to the location twice to do a mobile pickup and I had to contact customer service both times. I have completed a mobile pick up from a different location and did not have any trouble. I was completely disappointed. Then I wanted to extend my reservation for additional hours since I only booked for 12 hours. I was going to be charged $58 for an extension which was not even 24 for an entire reservation then another $20 if I allowed a check in to happen on Monday by a representative. I declined, I at least figured by all the trouble I went through was that I could get a free extension because I'm pretty sure no one was renting the truck on Sunday morning from that location. When I lifted the door on the back of the truck, there was a belt and some cover left inside which I took a picture of, so that wasn't fully clean. Overall just disappointed with this reservation. Nobody was there so i could not drop the uhaul of so of crouse they charged me because they didnt see where i dropped it off...i put it in a drop box that was not checked and i got charged for no gas in the teuck but i was told you only put the gas that was in there back which was noneronald K.

No one on site available to provide service. The telephone number I was given was to an off-site dispatch service. It took three call to get to a dispatcher who would help me. All were rude and seemed bothered to have to take my call or provide service. Location and business appeared shady.Danny F.
They charge me for fuel level that's not far. Bcoz I make sure when I drop of u haul .the fuel level is the way the they give me I m not satisfied with that charge on me. That's a wrong way to make money from u guys..Viral P.

Overall, I have several issues with this equipment order, but they mainly concern the online reservation process, U-Haul's customer service representatives' knowledge of services, or the lack there-of, and the value of services offered by U-Haul. The only qualm I have with TCB Automotive and Towing, is the location in which the business operates. On 7/26/18, I reserved a 9ft moving van for the morning of Sat 7/28, with plans to use it to move 2 tables, that were too long for my Nissan Sentra, to a location in my neighborhood, where we were holding a yard sale. I did not really want to spend $35.00, just to move the tables but I decided that the truck would help simplify, what was already anticipated to be stressful and busy day, and was justified for $35. I received confirmation of the reservation, made for Sat 7/28 @ 5:00am at a U-haul rental location, which is only .02 miles from my home, for 8 hours of use. The rate was $19.95 plus .79 per mile. Which in the end I figured that we may accumulate a whooping 7 miles on the odometer so I wasn't too worried. Next day, Friday @ 4pm, I received a message stating that the location I "reserved the equipment" actually did not have the van or anything comparable available so I would have to drive to another facility to pick up the vehicle. At this point in the day I was at work, for a restaurant during our Friday night dinner service, so I took an emergency break to make a call to U-Haul customer service to see what was going on . I called and was placed on hold for approx.8-10 minutes, only to be told that there was nothing available anywhere near my preferred location and that the nearest place that I could pick up the van was "4 miles" from my home. I really didn't have any other options, at this late time, so I accepted the reservation for the following morning at 5 am at this location. When I arrived to pick up the rental at 5 am, the facility that at the customer service representative had transferred my "reservation" to, was not the 4 miles that she had quoted me but 8.1 miles (one way), and in addition to being very secluded and pitch black at 5 am, it was also not a location that offered 24 hour pick-up. SERIOUSLY? How does that even happen? How do you reserve something for someone at a place that doesn't even offer or have availability of what you are attempting to sell? So I had to call U-Haul at 5am to figure out what in the world I was supposed to do, and was, yet again, sent to another location that would be able to "accommodate" my needs, but at this juncture there was nothing else I could do. I was scheduled to have my sale set-up at 8:30 that morning and I needed something larger than my car to move stuff. So in effort to cut this long story short... the next facility I was sent to was located 9 miles from home, in the worst part of Spartanburg, SC that I have encountered since moving to the area, and I was mortified, but again, nothing I could do. This drop off location was closed on the weekend and it is actually a garage in an undesirable area i am not familiar with the area but i didn't feel comfortable being there eventhough when i spoke with the person in charge over the telephone he seemed to be very nice and helpful l used the drop off app and it went wellRadi M.

The owner/operators were very mEan and rude. The equipment was no well maintained, the checklist was not gone over prior to exiting. It was an overall horrible experience. They made no secret that dealing with Uhaul and it's processes was aggravating and ghat they only carried inventory to be able to tow for Uhau.Jerry S.
I walked around to the back of the building because that was where the entrance was, and stood at the counter for 5 minutes or more because the lady was on her phone. When she did acknowledge I was there she told me that the guy that handles the uhaul was not in. She called the man and he said just drop it out front that there was nothing for me to sign or anything. I thought this was strange so i took pictures of the vehicle in front of the building from all angles so that they couldn't say we damaged it or didn't return it which is exactly what happened. I received an email saying i did not return the uhaul. Don't do business with this location. They are very unprofessional and lazy!Julie K.

Someone charged my account twice when I made a exceptional time frame to bring it back the same day.. then lied about it told me to Call customer service and I got talked over and basically made me look like the bad guy wouldn't recommend a third party to rent from againstacy B.
Reserved truck a week in advance.Called to verify everything was good for my 9:00 am pick up. Went to pick up truck and it wasn't there. Had to drive across town to TLC Automotive to get a different truck. Owner wasn't there because he wasn't expecting anyone at 9:00.Had a moving crew that was being paid by the hour waiting on me at my house. Didn't start loading the truck until 10:45 am. Tried to contact customer service with no luck of course. Stayed on hold and no one ever answered. Will prob not use UHaul again.BUTCH H.
This was a horrible experience. It seems to be a one-man shop. Very unprofessional. He got to the office late, the truck was dirty with cement on the floor, both in the cabin and in the back. He never offered to clean it.CUTHBERT A.

We did not receive the blankets or dolly that we had ordered, and the people there didn't seem to know anything about it. They said they took it off our bill, but our receipt was not readable (like they were running out of ink) and then I got the email bill and we were charged for the dolly and blankets. We had to really scramble to find things to use for blankets and the lack of a dolly was a problem too. Not a good experience at all.Jane B.
1. It took an hour to rent the truck because, even though I already gave my info to reserve it on line, he couldn't access my info & had to re-enter all of it. 2. The truck had a check engine light on but I was told everything would be fine, don't worry about it. I checked the fluid levels & the antifreeze was very low so I asked that they fill it & they added some but not filled completely. 3. I couldn't read the receipt because it was printed with light, red ink. When I returned the truck, at my destination, I discovered that there was a 7 mile difference in the starting mileage on the receipt verses the number I wrote down from the odometer before I left the pick-up area. Exhibited a extreme lack of commitment to customer experience. They did not have the right infrastructure for renting truck at the moment. They pretended to use a laptop to complete contract. Never gave me written contract nor never explain anything about the equipment. Supposedly their internet was down, without premise they told I should be back a day later without even occurred to them to send me to other location; myself the customer have to tell them they should have contact their manager or someone else to solve an urgent problem. Extremely irresponsible to the point they contradicted their regional manager at the moment of handling me the truck without nothing to sign. Never check the truck gas level with me nor the safety instructions, since never handled me a manual along with the contract. UHAUL could have been liable if anything would have gone wrong with this truck, like an accident never game the manual nor safety instruction. If I were the regional manager I would have removed UHAUL franchise to this location. The manager had to take my credit car number in order to give "green light to take the truck", he made the entire work for the employees at this location; unbelievable.JUAN E R.
I requested a pick-up Saturday night (around 7ish). At 9:03am I got a call from columbus that all that was available was a 10 & 14' truck. But she'd check on their availability and text or call. Neither happened. Upon arrival, we learned that no truck was available for 4 hours, but we could get the 14' until 1:45. but after alot of typing the price was $90+. A call to Columbus fixed that (the price), but we were told (at pick up) to get back by 1:50 for the 2:00 (which Columbus didn't "see"). with only 2 1/2 hours we only got to do about 2/3rds of what we wanted to. kudos columbus, fail athens.Martin S.

This location is excellent. The problem is with Columbus office. It was very apparent that the Columbus office did not want me to rent from this location. Even after I made my reservation online a lady from columbus office was bugging me to change the pick up to another location . Apparently she has some vested interest with that location. I hope Uhaul management will investigate this and I believe U haul management (not the rental location) owes an apology to me for bugging me for no reason several times. No one last longer without customer service no matter how big. Thank youVAKI K.

The process to pick-up/return truck went very smoothly. However, we were told it was a Shell location when it actually is still a Marathon station which was very confusing. I would make sure that your customers are informed of this until the change in signs goes into effect.leslie D.

I had booked the reservation online for 9:00 a.m. When I arrived, the gas station was not open yet. There was another person there who had booked a reservation for 8:00 a.m. He had been there for an hour. I inquired across the street at the BP station and they said the manager came in at whatever time worked for him in the mornings (usually between 9 and 9:45 or so). When he finally arrived (9:20), he tried to charge me more than I was quoted online. He also had to call someone to ask how to complete the transaction even though I had a confirmation number. 35 minutes after we started the transaction, he finished. He didn't ask if I needed help hooking up the trailer. I told him I didn't have the proper hook-up for the lights and he said he had no adapters. He let me leave the station without proper lighting. I drove across town where I purchased an adapter from Auto Zone. The rental was due back at 9 a.m. a couple days later. I showed up at 9 only to find the store was not yet open. I waited about half an hour, then returned home to get ready for a funeral I had to attend. When I returned the rental later that afternoon I got no assistance from the manager. To make matters worse, I received an email shortly upon my return home with the invoice for the rental. To my utter disbelief, I had been charged for that day's rental. I did call UHaul and spoke with a very nice person who made sure I was partially reimbursed. Oh yeah, the trailer also leaked while driving through rain and got two antique dressers wet.Jo C.

First of all, I did not have a contact number for the drop of location. On my receipt it was listed as (111)111-1111. There was no number listed on the U-Haul website. The hours were posted and it said the drop off location opened at 8:00 am. Well, I dropped off the trailer at 8:20 am, the store was closed. I needed to go to work. I was not able to return to the store until 1:00. When I returned to checked in about the trailer, (because they had no number that I could have called earlier), then the store checked me in. Also, my receipt shows that I was charged $0, and I would really like to know if I was charged that additional day.DEAK A.
