We had a very good experience with this location. My husband needed a pickup on short notice. He was pressed for time and stressed out. He also had not prepared by doing the check in online. The proprietor was courteous and efficient and took care of everything. Fortunately they were not very busy. The truck was in good shape and worked out well. My husband returned it about 20 minutes late and had not added gas (he had driven only 7 miles). There was a minor charge for the late return and also for the gas, adding up to just under $20, completely reasonable in the circumstances. We got what we needed from this transaction and were very satisfied. The location is close to our house and we will choose them again when the need arises. Well done.Eduardo F.

The trucks fuel gauge is faulty. Turned it on and it was at 1/2 full. By the time I had driven out of the parking garage it was down to 1/4.. so I took the â€œbeforeâ€ fuel gauge picture when it showed much higher than it actually was.Caleb Q.
I asked whether I can return the vehicle after hours after the store closes at 7pm, and I was told I can do that and just slide the vehicle key under the door. But I was NOT informed that I would be charged an extra day and that the total price would be twice what I expected to pay! I do not recommend this location for lack of transparency and communication on charges!Alexandra F.

Van was dirty inside. Muddy shoes in truck it looked like - when I used a sanitizing wipe on the steering wheel the wipe turned light brown. I had selected a dolly and moving blankets for with the van (booked 2 days in advance) and was told when I arrived no equipment was available - not sure who's fault that is (uhaul for letting me book unavailable items or the location for not making sure ordered items were present). Checked in online prior to arriving at location and still had to spend 10 min checking in at location so one of the two check ins was a waste of time. The location was fine. I only had to wait a few minutes while the guy at the counter helped a few other people at the convenient store. Not a problem at all. The part that I didn't like was when UHaul called me to ask when I was turning in a van that I had already turned in. I don't know why that happened. I had to put the key in the door of a closed convenient store to turn it back in, and maybe where it landed on the floor was inconvenient. I really don't know. I also ended up having to pay a fee for turning the truck back in when the store was closed, which I don't recall being quoted for ahead of time. Overall, checkout was fine, but I'll look into other companies prior to renting from Uhaul again.Christi G.

Kenny, the person who helped me out and runs this location, was wonderful, and I don't want this to be a negative review for him - but I just feel incredibly scammed by U-Haul as a whole. The advertised cost was $19.95, and I paid an extra $10 for insurance. But when all was said and done, I owed $68+! U-Haul should have greater transparency, especially about the refill rates for a gas tank. Really absurd, and I think next time I'll just figure something else out rather than rent a U-Haul. That being said, if you have no other options, Kenny is a wonderful and really helpful person to work with, and I highly recommend him!Nikita A.

Slow service- this location is inside a convenience store and business is done on a laptop. I did not receive the dolly I was supposed to, asked the clerk to take it off of my bill and I got charged for it anyway. I will find other, more convenient moving vehicles in the future.Erin L.

It's fine, if you're not in a hurry. I signed up for mobile pickup and still had to go into the store and work with the clerk, which was a slow process, almost 30 minutes. The van is 7'2" but the parking garage signs are 7'0" clearance. So you have to be careful to not scrape the roof of the van when you're pulling out of the garage.Keaton T.

Get rid of this location. The people at the store didn't know how to use the software. They kept interrupting the transaction so they could sell bottles of coke and candy bars. It took too long. I had to walk too far to get the van. It was the worst customer experience I have had in 20 years - really! Dropping off was worse.Thomas F.

In-person check in process was clunky at best, and the van was difficult to locate. This would also be a difficult location for people with mobility issues as the van is parked at the top of the neighboring parking garage which is a bit of a hike from the dealer's store front.Lyndsay H.

The person I got the van from had no useful information, and was unapologetic about not having it. He didn't get up to look at the van when I thought there was an issue. The garage that they wanted me to park a 7'2" clearance vehicle in was 7'0". They didn't have the supplies I reserved (also unapologetic). They didn't have the capacity to print a receipt or physical copies of my contract (they had a laptop that I could look at from maybe 18" at an angle). Terrible service, that ended up costing me money, stressing me out, and damaging my furniture.nick W.

Faster check out!!!!! This is a uhaul problem. How can I walk up to a car2go, tap my phone, and go. While renting a uhaul has tons of forms, and uploading photos.... Takes too long especially when people are cashiering.kiel J.

Most unprofessional U-Haul experience ever. Rented the equipment for 2 hours walked out to my car with an hour and fifteen minutes. I was then overcharged, reimbursed and overcharged again. I called the location he didn't answer on 4 different calls then texts from another location sayin â€œSorry. Can't talk right now.â€ â€” this experience may have me take my personal and business needs elsewhere. I drove 20 miles total during my rental and was charged over $100.00. I asked since I used it for less than I originally said including distance traveled of it would be less .....he doesn't look at me while he's on the computer and said...â€noooope.â€ I've now spent more than and hour and a half on this which is only putting me further in the hole in my opinion. Ideally would like all my money back to forget this experience overall.Quentin O.

The guy working was great given how terrible everything else was for him. There was nothing telling him which van I was supposed to take. They didn't have printer paper. He was the only working, so if I needed help, it would be impossible. When I got back the badge to get back into the parking garage didn't work. This location does not have staffing to provide U-haul services. It is a convenience store with one person working on the day I arrived. Any time someone came in I had to wait until that person was helped. Also the person working didn't know how to use the payment software.Ryan K.

Have the items the customer is requesting at the time they have it reserved. Fix the gas gauge.....shady! Also, don't just add insurance and try to get away with it. By far, the worst rental truck/van/car experience I've ever had. Feel bad for the worker or the store who had to represent the shadiness. Will never use this location again.Kenneth S.

This location is so busy with walk-in traffic it takes extra time just to complete the transaction. One guy knows what he is doing the younger guy does not know what he is doing. I attempted to extend my rental the first day. I could not contact the store using the phone number provided. The number on the contract (503) 208.7638 went to voicemail with no room for more messages. There was no answer to the call, response to a text message, no call back. When I went in to ask the young man working there if I could extend the rental , he claimed there was no charge for extending. I waited about a half an hour for him to attempt to schedule a reservation for the following day. Finally he gave up and asked me to use the app to make the reservation.Rod R.

The location is very central, but there was no parking, except for a 5 minute space. The van was in pretty good shape overall and met our needs. The seats in the front were stained and worn and smelled like zoo animals had been smoking in the van. While the pickup process wasn't the most convenient, the location was very convenient.Mark M.

I think I paid for an extra 9 miles of travel. I'm almost positive when I first started the engine, the odometer said 3499. It was notable b/c it was right at that 500 mark, so I thought that was handy to track how far I was driving. The clerk, Jessie (who was totally awesome btw), had me take a photo of the final odometer reading. When I went in to pay, I showed it to him (3542 miles) and he told me the original had been at 3490. We talked through it and he was very kind, but there was no way to confirm or deny that the original was correct. He implied that maybe he hadn't checked it properly or hadn't correctly input the number after the prior rental. I'm a reasonable person, it wasn't anyone's fault necessarily. I could have mis-seen the number, he could have recorded it incorrectly, but regardless - the system is flawed b/c of the fact it's not a certainty. I think I was charged extra. So I'm not super happy about that, but it was otherwise a great experience. Jessie was super awesome and helpful. Location was convenient, and no problems with the van itself.Olivia W.

The only issue I had was that I couldn't get out of the DoubleTree parking garage. The cashiers at Union Station Deli didn't tell me what to do to lift the gate. So there ended up being a long line behind me of angry people as I called the parking garage company for help. Other than that, I had no issues.Abigail B.

The process took too long/was pretty inconvenient. It took about 30 minutes to actually get the contract and the car. Then, the car was located about a block away on top of a parking garage. Plus, they charged extra than what I was told I would be charged in the online reservation. Next time, I'd rather just go straight to a dealer if it means it will lessen the hassle.Lauren O.
