The owner at Vecchiones is always super helpful! We have picked up UHauls at other locations where we were left to find our rental and hook it up ourselves. But at Vecchiones, he always helps you from start to finish. When you're already stressed about moving, it's nice to have one less thing to worry about knowing that your UHaul is hooked up properly!

walked in and was treated abruptly about a mask usage, i am unable to wear a mask and disabled, and after inquiring about the refund of my deposit was once again told in a rather ignorant way that they don't give deposits back, that they are only a depot. I was never informed of that so therefore I was questioning the practice when the rep became even more ignorant and didn't explain to me how I was to get the deposit back. I didn't find out how I get my deposit back until I actually called uhaul themselves. As a point that I feel I have to make, I brought the truck back a say early, with more gas than when I got the truck and I made sure it was clean. My experience with Verchonis autobody and the uhaul rep was absolutely terrible and unpleasant to say the least!

We found condoms in the cabin. It's funny that UHaul will charge customers for not cleaning the cabin when they evidently don't even clean it themselves. Also, the jack doesn't work on the trailer but hey let's not worry about testing equipment before we lend it to customers. Only their money matters right? Not their experience? I'm very happy to have paid for this dirty and broken equipment. Next time I'll be just as happy to give my money to Penske or Enterprise. You lost this customer for life.

This location was closed at 4pm on a Friday even though i had the unit until Saturday, I returned the unit on Friday to ensure a representative was on-site but location was already closed.

Check oil light was on when we received vehicle and on phone with uhaul for 1.5 hours trying to pick up vehicle using 24/7 online pickup app as the vehicle was not marked as a oneway vehicle even though it was confirmed on the reservation.

It shouldn't be so difficult to rent a u-haul trailer . Every other place I went in Thunder Bay all their trailers were for one way rental only. They wouldn't rent for just a few days. I guess u-haul takes the hit and looses money. ??

This location is poor service. We were supposed to get 20' tuck instead we got a 26" with 1 day warning. Then we were told the 26" truck is not in. All packed and movers booked. No truck. Finally found it later in the afternoon, but had to wait to next day to pick it up! . Come at 9am. Nobody there!Had to wait for "Uhaul customer Rep for 30 min!!! The truck was quite dirty, and quite old but it did its job. My load was only over a half of that huge UHaul...20 footer would have been much easier to drive too!!! BUT THE WORST I HAD TO PAY 800$ FOR GAS ALONE TO GET MY HALF OF LOAD TO DESTINATION! It would have cost half that with the truck I booked. Some service! I WOULD LIKE SOME MONEY I SPENT ON GAS REIMBURSED.

When a customer returns the unit 2 days early after purchasing an extra day , just in case, it would be great , and good business, to refund some of the rental cost.,,say the extra day.

I was told by the representative at the location that the minimum $60 debit charge was going to be put back into my account (minus the main $16.95 charge for the equipment) upon return. Had he told me what would turn out to be the truth, that it wouldn't be put back in my account, I would have used a credit card. Now I am out $60 for renting a 5x8 trailer for 24 hours when it should have been $17

The only issue that came up was related to lights on car carrier. I noticed well into my trip that signals and brake lights failed to work. It was reported to agent at drop off.

Fantastic service and professional. I moved across Canada for a $220 5x8 trailer rental and had six days to complete. It was the easiest and most forgiving trailer to tow, maneuver, and handle I've ever used. Easy to reverse and park. I loaded and unloaded it alone, and lifted the hitch onto my truck alone. Six days across a huge country for $220! These guys and gals are the moving pro's! Couldn't be happier. I would recommend to U-Haul to have much larger models available to compete with their own van rentals with trailer brakes.

I rented a 6x12 trailer that would be picked up on a Friday morning and dropped off at the same location the following evening. It took a long time to rent the trailer, the person I dealt with was clearly not very computer savvy and had much difficulty using whatever system was required for the rental. After about 30 minutes it had all been sorted out and I had paperwork in hand for the rental. I used the trailer as planned and dropped it off the evening I was supposed to. I paid in advance and received a receipt in my email Monday when they took inventory of the equipment on their lot. Skip forward a week, I check my email a week later and uhaul has sent me another receipt. This one for 1294 dollars and change. I check my Mastercard, this charge has been applied to it. I call the phone number on the receipt, this gets me to a uhaul center in New Brunswick where said trailer has been dropped off the night previous. I have spent countless hours on the phone since with uhaul in Atlantic Canada first, and now Winnipeg. Numerous times I was informed that I would receive a call about this within various time frames and was told the issue is being resolved. It has been nearly a week now with a 1300 dollar fraudulent charge on my mastercard and I have not received a phone call. I have called several times throughout the week, asked for managers to no avail and have even been hung up on. The lack of communication on what they are doing to correct this massive mistake is my biggest issue. If you say you're going to call, then call! If I owed uhaul 1300 dollars I would be speaking to the president of the company yesterday. Instead a multi million dollar company is disrespecting my personal time and patience about a mistake that I didn't even have a chance to avoid. Poor service all around! 0 out of 10!

You should have it like any other rental . Leave full bring it back full . If you don't know how big the tank is how do you bring it back with 5/8 full ? I'm filling it with more gas , then your donging me with extra miles .

Went to pick up reserved trailer at u-haul squire street location. Told none available. Confirmation was made on July 3, 2018 to pick up August 27. Panic calling to accommodate ensued, vecchioes auto body and painting came through with available trailer. Very unprofessional experience with original u-haul dealer. Came through ok in the end.

Well. I made the reservation in person weeks prior at the Hardisty street location. and then found out 2 days before the move. that the old man there had no recollection or reference to the rental. So I rebooked online and selected the squire street location. the confirmed of the rental was confirmed. I arranged a ride to pick it up in the morning at the location. with a screen shot for proof. I was dropped off waited then found out from the very professional attendant there was no rental there for me. after he looked into it he explained i was actual booked at another location on Arthur street some 20 plus miles away. So I called my ride waited as they had no means to send me to the other location. once my ride arrives we then headed to the Arthur street location. after arriving at the Arthur street location I found an older gentleman on a laptop. who's said. " well i don't know why your here your not in the system. after 15 mins he found the reservation and then stated he had no truck or dolly to give? So I asked if there's someone we could call to figure this out? he made a call to Uhaul. we spoke with Natasha. who after holding for 15 mins explained she has a truck now on HAROLD street location and a dolly at the squire st branch. so after she confirmed thats the only option. "I had to inquire and ask about anything Uhaul could do to compensate me for spending the last three days getting a run around to 5 seperate stores location arrange rides at. as nothing was being offered or appologies for. then I agreed after she approved a small discount. and went to HAROLD street were I waited for some time while the rep couldnt figure out the pc. 35 mins total. he was very nice. but after finishing the payment he just pointed to the truck handed me the keys and off I went. once I got in the truck there were food rappers and bits of plastic including a water bottle and crumbs on the floor. so.i took it as is as I was hours behind and headed for squire street. after arriving at squire now waiting again for 30 plus mins behind other customers. they informed me they had no dolly to give? the representative was very apologetic and tried calling uhaul in front of me which rand he was greeted then asked some questions and he was hung up on. he explained they have a dolly that was reserved for another person headed to another place and he would make it right as he could tell I was about to lose it and I was visible quite angry. he stopped his work and moved several trailers and got me set. I will say I was shocked about the level of confusion at uhaul with systems. and for representatives the only rep who seemed capable and able to manage was the squire street location they understood customer service as even when on the phone with Uhaul it was terrible. no formal greeting, apology or confirmation of error. and no offer to fix or compensate. as It had to be demanded and asked for not offered. tragic... Tried to pick up truck and return truck via my mobile phone. It was not possible to anything online. The location was very accommodating. The computer check was not user friendly or even functional. And it delayed my pick up. Through no fault of the location.

Excellent customer service. There was some confusion on my part regarding the booking of a UHaul. Mr. Vecchiones went above and beyond trying to sort it all out. As I was calling from Toronto, in a panic, about my reservation Mr. Vecchiones assured me that if he could not find my reservation he would have a truck ready. Wonderful service!!!!

We had very last minute changes with our moving schedule, the added 4.5 hour one way drive empty in order to begin my move was a downside but John in Thunderbay was very accommodating and helpful figuring out the process and difficulties regarding this move.

The your web site I looked on to match up my suv to use as a tow vehicle for the dolly I rented showed that everything was ok. But at the dealer his computer said that it wasn't. I had to quickly get another vehicle to use as a tow vehicle. Why the difference?? Caused a lot of problems that day. Your rep worked very hard to help resolve to problems. Many thanks to him.

The after hours drop off instructions, ie signing in to account and leaving photos etc, was very confusing and time consuming. Fortunately the owner was there after hours and helped me out. Otherwise the trailer was fine.
