Great little truck. Strange way of doing the return gas thing. Truck was three quarters full when I got it so I tried to used their weird gas chart. Filled it just over three quarters but dealer said it needed 15 more dollars of gas. Strange system open to abuse.David M.

There was one issue with the truck: after 30 minutes driving on the highway, the TPMS starting flashing. I cycled thru the readings and the RR tire was showing "---". The other three were showing 78, 80 ,84. I stopped at the next service station and checked the tires. All were fine, which indicated to me that the sensor itself was bad. The TPMS reported this issue for the entire trip (1400 km total) but there were no problems with the tires.John Brian T.

I had no assurances that the vehicle was at all sanitized before picking it up, I did my vehicle drop off.on line and have yet to get an official receipt of the amount that is being put on my credit card.. While I get that times are changing, I still appreciate having someone do a walk around the vehicle with me etc... very impersonalaudrey L.
My only issue was that the blankets I reserved were not put into the truck prior to pick-up. Since I had to pick up the truck before the branch opened, I was forced to do the move without the blankets, which didn't make for a completely smooth move. Everything else was fine.Simba M.

The truck that I rented was defective and the rear door was stuck. I called the customer service so many times and first they told me that someone will come to fix it but no one showed up and they started sending me some texts that how should I fix the the truck's door!!! Uhaul customer service is responsible, I didn't find my booking was 9pm which should be 9am until a customer service representative called me a few days before picking up. So I still had time to found out this location. The owner at this location was very friendly and efficiently. It only took me 1 minute to finish paper work. The drop-off was only seconds. The truck interior was clean, I didn't even use my prepared blankets for furniture. The parking lot was empty around, no worry to go in-out. Absolutely I will rent at this location against next time.YAN L.
I checked in and paid for the rental online but the system didn't let me take the keys for half an hour. Eventually we had to cancel the online reservation and rebooked the same equipment on the spot. Very frustrating experience on a moving day. I have no complaints about the staff and location.. it's the Uhaul reservation system that should improve.Muhammad U.

I'm really not sure. The guy had a sketchy looking credit card swiping thing and it â€œdidn't go throughâ€ the first time and asked me to swipe again. My husband had identity theft in the past with this exact same scenario. I will be keeping a close eye on my account for any unusual activity and I really hope it wasn't a fraud operation running from there.Mindy M.

Truck smelled like booze in the back, not really a big deal for me, but it wasn't ideal. I had to drive 10 extra expensive kms to get blankets because they didn't have them at the pick up location. Had to wait too long on hold to get a uhaul person on the phone (both the main location and the toll free number). The people I dealt with at the counters I went to were very polite, helpful and friendly.JAYA S.

I wanted to pick up my truck at 8:30 am but the system showed me the earliest time was 10 am. I got there at 9:30 am and noticed that two trucks the same size as the one I rented were available and I could pick it up earlier. Please fix the bug in your booking software.Shahin A.

I asked the agent when I should return the truck, twice he told me 9.50 am and I came back at 9.45 and he told me that I was charged for two days. I didn't have my contract and I didn't sign anything and he told me 9.50 and not 9.15.I am so disappointed. I need to be charged for one day and not two days. He didn't do well. I am not happy. Mileage charge was way over! When I called to discuss it I was told that the odometer was in miles and not kilometres which only makes matters worse. Google Maps says I drove the truck 52km, which is the same as what the odometer read when I returned the truck. When I got the bill the next morning, it was showing that I had driven 68 and when converted to km I was charged for 109 instead of 52.August W.
U-Haul called me two days before my pickup, and tried to move my previously confirmed pickup location to the far end of the city. When I protested, it was moved to here (still 15km out of my way). I also ordered a pack of furniture blankets, which were not available when I arrived to get my vehicle. Some of my furniture was damaged in the move, and I think this is partly the fault of U-Haul not having what I had ordered 10 days before. The person working here was friendly and helpful.Alex G.

I want to take this time to say that the Watermart location was amazing. The team at watermart should be made aware of how awesome they are. There were a ton of issues with Uhaul and watermart went above and beyond to help get those issues sorted. However, I am extremely unimpressed with Uhaul and my overall experience. You book over a month in advance and the day before you are supposed to move get a call to say your vehicle isn't ready for the day/time you want. I had someone flying in to help with the move and the day before was made aware that we may not have a truck to move anything. The system is unbelievably flawed. I called Uhaul to get it sorted and they were no help. Brushed me off, didn't care, just said â€œwell there's a lot of people who want trucks this dayâ€. So it's my issue that I booked a month in advance and others wanted trucks on the same day? They ended up directing me to a number of their scheduling team, only for me to find out after I hung up with the representative that this scheduling team number is out of service. Luckily we called watermart, told them the situation and they were on the lookout for a truck for us. Completely unprofessional service by Uhaul. Water Mart saved the day!Erin B.
you may want to talk to your 3990 Prince of Wales location, I had requested drop off at this location as its a few KM from our home. they sent us an email informing us to take it to another location. this is what they sent; Good afternoon, Sean This is Uhaul @ 3990 prince of wales dr. The truck still had garbage in it from a previous rental. I did not book to pick up at this location and it was miles from where I wanted to rent from. I reserved for an out of town trip and the vehicle was no where near full so I had to get gas as soon as I got in the truck. Not to convenient considering I was renting for an 800 km trip. I had a reservation at a different location and was not informed of the change in pick up location until I arrived at the location I had chosen to pick up which was near where I needed to be. It was a twenty minute drive to the other location. The clerk asked me where I was dropping off the truck. I told him I had scheduled to deliver in Windsor. He asked me to pick a location. All the choices he gave me were in the United States. Obviously not possible not convenient.Brad H.
