I didn't Pay into your insurance incidentally and someone hit the passenger side mirror while I was in Walmart, so I still had to pay for the damage that wasn't my fault at all and I had no control over what happened while in Walmart and just for 15 minutes, I had to come off an additional $260 for a mirror that doesn't cost but $75 in a auto store..Then the manager had the odassity to tell me I got a discount like I didn't know any better..They can go to ....!.. I have a very bad experience. I book my reservation at storage depot at beaumont and they told me that my truck was not there waited for 1 hr and route me at u haul at milam st beaumont coz there one available there. When i came there the personnel told us that there is no available truck for me. He told us to go to nederland drive 20 miles back and forth , spending a lot of mileage and gas and now i have to pay $120.00 ? This is so disappointing. I never expected this kind of experience. I live in beaumont but i have to pick up and return the truck to nederland that is way too far from my place. Its not my fault that my reserve truck is not available. I need a consideration on this matter. Contact customer is way too worst as well. Response took us 30-45 mins! This is so disappointing!!!corey K.
The equipment and the location were great the customer service was terrible after the process was complete. The original reservation was at the Beaumont location on Milam. The Milam location had an issue with the truck and called around to find another truck. The associate located a truck in Nederland and asked me if that was okay. I asked what they were going to do about the mileage and the associated asked over the phone and responded to me that the mileage would be waved. I said okay. I received the receipt today and noticed that the price was not what I expected so I called the number on the receipt which was Mr. Kenneth Young. When I asked about the charge and stated what I was told at the other location he began to tell me that Uhaul does not wave mileage and that he's been doing this for so many years and they do not do that. His tome was very rude but I just explained what happened during my visit and stated that I would just go to the original store and see if it can be sorted out. I thanked him and hung up. Mr. Young called me back in a very frustrated tone and explained to me that there was a discount in the mileage and I had been charged about $.40 when the charge was normally about $.60. I said I understood and he then said that there is where I probably got confused and I stated to him that I understand the difference in a discount and a waiver. He then went on to express in a frustrated, rude tone that I had gotten a deal. I relied that I understood but that I did not understand why his tone was so rude and he started to yell at me. I replied that he was trash and hung up. The process and the facilities are great but his attitude is the reason I will never rent from that location again.KATALINA S.

This experience was horrible. The truck's exhaust was broken at muffler. It was EXTREMELY loud for the entire trip. We had to stop on several occasions to attempt to fix it. The fuel line kept coming out of the fuel tank and leaking fuel costing an excessive amount of money. We had a 400+ mile round trip and it was unbearable. We were unable to get the truck back at the appropriate drop off time due to these issues and was charged an extra day. I took pictures everytime we had to stop to get this truck fixed. I am extremely unhappy with the service and equipment I received especially since this trip cost me almost $700 just to uhaul not factoring in the $200+ dollars I had to spend in fuel. With all of the other options available, I will never use uhaul again after this experience.John B.

I appreciate them for calling me before they charged my card for some of the tasks that missed over. Think I found a new uhaul store. Usually use the location in Beaumont but they have terrible service. Having a degree in customer service/hospitality it was great to see them go above and beyond to make sure that I didn't get any extra charges. If this is common practice for this location, other businesses should seek out their seek level. Also this is family owned and operated, and having a business myself, it is always my pleasure to see my money feeding families and acting lives rather than interacting with employees who are there just for their check. My reservation was changed to this location. Went to get it and were unable to do the online check in. I called the gentleman there several times and he basically yelled at me to hit the Pick up button on the app. That was all he could tell me. I finally located a 1-800 number and 20 minutes later he could not help me and had to transfer me to someone else. The next person also took about 15 minutes but figured out that the reservation was switched, as I had been notified, but not â€œinternallyâ€ (?). She fixed it and we finally were able to access the Pick up button.Brody B.
