Customer service is good. Manager was especially kind and tried to be helpful and was sympathetic to my issues BUT the Facility is terrible !! and literally the first month I’ve been there. The facility leaked and the concrete structure at the back of my locker fell apart. Water damage into the building. Soaked the roof and in turn Ruined a lot of my stuff !!! Thousands in damages. Luckily no keepsakes and I have been told I also need to move all of my stuff so they can do repairs. It’s my first month ! And to say I want to move all my things yet again would not be the case. I do not!

When I went to drop off trailer it was refused & I had to go all the way across town to drop off at another facility. Uhaul are you going to pay for my fuel & time???

I was not able to get my one-way reservation, so they gave me an in town reservation with the promise that I would still get a free locker and only pay half the kilometers. I had a locker reserved, and I even called the night before to make sure it was reserved. When I got there, they told me they no longer have the locker for me and I have to travel 18 km to another unit. When I got there, I told them everything and they told me that no, I would not get a free locker now and that I would need to supply a credit card, so I had to spend another 25 minutes on hold trying to get through to somebody to finally get into my locker. When I was unloading my locker at the second location which is very far from where I needed to be for my move at the end of the month., extremely frustrated, at this point, I look down and see that there’s a pool of oil dumping out of the rear tire of the moving truck. I climb underneath and see that there is oil let loose all dripping down the tire and axle. iPhone U-Haul for the fifth time this day and asked to speak to a manager who tells me that they will pick up the truck tomorrow and I have to figure out a ride home. The clerk at the U-Haul unit came out and I showed her the oil and she agreed that I should not drive the truck. However, I cannot pay my bill because the manager is now telling me that they need to inspect the truck to verify that there is a reason why I could not bring it back to the location. I paid $100 cash deposit at the original pick up point and cannot get any answers and I am now being told next week I may find out what my bill is. I have a move set up for November 3 which is extremely important and I have zero confidence that U-Haul is going to be able to have my truck ready. If this is the kind of feedback you want and this is what you want your customers telling other people consistently that is fine. Personally, I would never consider using U-Haul after this experience. The manager seemed like I wasn’t annoyance to him and he just wanted me off the phone. When I got to the first storage locker where they gave away my reservation, the clerk was smirking at me when he saw my frustration that I had to drive 20 minutes away from where I needed to be to another location. Personally, I can’t believe they would charge us one penny after thi. I had to get a vehicle to drive me home, and somebody had to go out of their way 47 km to bring me back to LANGLEY. I paid that person’s gas and nobody cares at all about the frustration and the seven hour event that I had to go through yesterday when all I did was reserve a truck weeks ago and the storage locker and tried to use your service. I have photos and video of the oil dumping all over the tire, and I will not be held to pay costs if they deem that it is not a failure. That truck was not safe to drive back on the freeway. It had oil all over the rubber, and I have video and picture proof and I would love to show somebody it. I highly doubt anyone will contact me regarding this, but I would love to speak to somebody that may be a little higher up than the people I have been speaking to, because they have treated me with nothing but haste and rushing me off the phone like I am an annoyance.
raymond joseph r. | First ImpressionsI initially rented the U-Haul storage unit and a truck online through an offer link giving me one month free storage for renting the truck. When I did my check-in at the storage unit they stated that I would not be eligible for that because it wasn't an out of town truck rental.. none of that was told to me during the whole application when I filled it out and the offer was offered to me. I'll be calling head quarters
