1, U-Haul kept me in the dark for 1 week after scheduling an auto transport (did not know if i had a trailer or not),2, one day before scheduled pickup finally got a call that a trailer was available. Talked with the owner on Friday for pickup on Saturday at 3, he stated that he closes at 1:00 pm but he lives on premise and would be available at 3:00. showed up at 2:00 and had to listen to him talk about how he closes at 1 and how lucky i was that he would help me out and i was lucky to get trailer when he was closed. will use Rapid City U-Haul location,

There was broken glass on the ramp when I pulled the ramp out to use it

The owners had just moved to a new location which was still under construction the truck was muddy and had to walk a long distance in mud to get the truck. Owners were unable to access a $100 voucher from Uhaul to apply to this order. The main reason I used this Uhaul and this location.

A very dated property, but a good place to do business, no problems at all

Didn't get the truck where I was supposed to. Had to travel to Custer from Hot Springs where I was supposed to get the truck. Though I was not charged for mileage. It was still an inconvenience.

The tire was old and ready to fail and it did

Easy drop off. Over all we would definitely recommend U-Haul. We were so pleased with the free storage. The gentleman in Rapid City at the U-Haul and storage was wonderful! The guest service both at all of your locations, and the call center as well was excellent. Thank you for a great experience!

I had to go to the Custer location because I reserved a trailer in advance in Rapid City but when I came to get it they did not have the size that I had reserved in advance. They offered a larger trailer but the reason I made the reservation early was so I would not have to pull the larger trailer across the country.

No one was there, I called and was told to put keys in a drop box. Then they e emailed me a receipt.

Even though I booked a rental from Hot Springs, SD over a month in advance, at the last minute I was forced to drive all the way to Custer, SD instead if I wanted a trailer. Tire was cracked all the way around in the center of the tread but no one was interested in replacing the tire before our trip. We took it and made the 800+ mile drive okay but drop off location agreed the tire should have been changed.

Uhaul should not wait until the last moment to announce that we have to drive 3 hours to the closest equipment.

Paul at Stone Canyon was great. Our beef is with UHaul scheduling and traffic management. They didn't have the truck at the time and location that was promised us. We had to drive an additional 250 miles to get the truck that we needed and waste a day of our contracted time just driving the truck home. Uhaul increased the price of our contact in the process and we also had to pay an additional $100 for fuel just to get the truck back to our home. I spent several hours on the phone with Uhaul customer service and was lied to by one of their customer service managers named Doug Rayburn who told us that a regional traffic manager would be contacting us to resolve our complaint. It turns out that Lyin' Doug closed the complaint out right after he got off the phone with us which explains why after a week we had heard from nobody else. Lyin' Doug has no honor and is more suited for politics than customer service.

Make sure the air conditioner works so when people are driving in 96-degree weather they are comfortable instead of sweating to death, especially since we pay so much to rent them. You could also make sure it has plenty of oil so a person doesn't worry about it smelling hot, etc., and have to add two quarts of oil.

The owner technically didn't open until 9:00 AM. I was there at 8:30 AM so I could be the first in line. He helped me out right away at 8:30 which really helped me get a good start on the day. I appreciate his willingness to help me out so much.

Clean the place up. Looks like a junk yard instead of a Uhaul business. Also, this man is a liar.
