I don't like that U-Haul does not provide the vehicles from where I actually reserved them from (Pinnacle Storage in West End, NC). Had this happen last year in Marysville, WA (had to make a 60 mile round trip to pick up my 20' truck). AA Self Storage - okay people, but I had to meet their schedule on pickup (not my own).

Trailer and Towing Supplies
AA is the only person in a chain of 4 that could provide what I had reserved. Sadly, through no fault of his establishment, he could only partially fill what I needed for my move, the truck. He had only a handful of blankets that he offered. No furniture dolly, no appliance dolly and no, they didn't have the 4 dozen pads that I was assured was part of a complete order. Everyone else was trying to placate me. Look, I got back home to Fort Lauderdale. Everyone was safe. Belongings made it through no assistance from corporate that allowed the madness to occur. But in the end the task was completed by the people involved. On schedule. There was a bit of insult to injury. They charged me $16 for 61 miles over!
Attemptrd to drop off at Pinnacle Storage, which was clean and nice, but refuse the drop off (Was told by Uhaul I could drop it off anywhere). Called UHaul and pit me right thru to AA, which is what it is, Uhaul = Rent-A-Wreck
Wendell the person at the center was very professional and great to work with.
This has been horrible. The representative did not listen to anything I said, I was overcharged for this rental. I have spoken to your district manager more times than I wanted trying to rectify this
The gentleman at the storage facility was extremely friendly and helpful. This is not a reflection on him. The online after hours pickup and drop off Instructions were lengthy but thorough. I am giving this rating because the inside of the truck was filthy and stunk. We had to keep the windows down as we drove. Luckily it was only across town. The dashboard had tree bark granules and there was a twig in the armrest. There was also some sort of liquid spilled all over the cup holder and floor (probably cause of the smell). I don't expect a detailed moving vehicle at all, but if I am paying $100 for less than 24hrs, I would rather it be in a vehicle that has been vacuumed and wiped down of obvious spills.
AA was fine-but I would call them directly because the online website experience prior to pick up was awful! My pick up location was changed much further away, the truck size was changed, the pick up time was changed FOUR times which turned a one day trip into an overnight trip.
Super helpful and accommodating.
Wendell was great and very helpful!
The person I spoke to (owner?) was very helpful and patient in assisting me backing in the trailer, which is not easy to do.
A sign on the building would help to show that it is the Uhaul place, but otherwise, great experience!
Excellent service from the moment I called to rent trailer to help with hooking up and making sure I was ready before driving off.
A man claiming to work there came out and yelled at us because we wouldn't give him the keys! He did not introduce himself or provide any identification. It was almost dark, so this was a scary situation. Lastly, where the heck is the dropbox!? Will not use this location in the future.
Sketchy location. I returned my rental after 11 hours and was charged for 2 full days. Poor customer service and unprofessional.
Brooklyn was great. We called back to verify the receipt and he took care of everything
Inform your employees of the new policies and procedures. Have correct mileage on rentals. It shouldn't take 3 and a half hours to rent a uhaul truck.
Dropped off the unit at 1:20 PM Friday. No one was there. Called the number from the sign in the window and was told to just drop it off and not to wait for the personal. So with an Arthritic hip and all I parked and unloaded the trailer myself.
We were quoted $76.00 based on approximately a 70 mile trip. When returning the vehicle, we did indeed drive 70 miles and our bill was $111.00. We clearly asked him before renting if $76.00 was the full amount which he said yes. When asked about the difference he admitted that he had made a mistake in his quote. In our mind we only owe $76.00.
Someone should explain the mileage and go over things with you.
No one took us to the truck. The tank wasn't full and we were charged for insurance that we didn't agree to add. $84
after checking in and paying for rental, we were charged a safe tow charge of $25 which we did not approve.
The man who charged me is a crook. I did not check the mileage before I left, but he absolutely fudged the number when I returned. He claims I put 446 miles on it when my google maps records show I went no more than 160. I demand a refund and that this man faces repercussions for scamming Uhaul's customers. He went by the name Wendell.
I do not believe this location should be used for pick ups. The person did not seem to know what he was doing. Truck was filthy (back and front), no dolly or furniture mover available (was reserved), gas light on in truck, and was quart low on oil. Experience was NOT good!! NO paperwork given, mileage checked, etc.
Ashes in the ash tray and soda spilled on seats and floorboards
A bit dumpy, but I got what I needed.
