While I did receive a $30 reimbursement for the equipment that was not provided, that doesn't compensate for the inconvenience of expecting to have dollies and furniture pads and not realizing until I arrived at the location where they were needed that I did not have them. The dollies were absolutely necessary so I then had to hunt down one from a friend and of course causing me to spend more in gas and mileage then expected

location was not aware that I had reserved a truck. Had to wait 1/2 hour to get the truck, which was not added to the time frame allowed to have the truck. I had to speak with uhaul on the phone while the people there waited on food customers. Finished with the truck and returned before my time was done and turned back in the keys after filling and parking the truck. Just received a bill saying I was charged for the truck for several days rather then the 2 hours I had it.

First of all, they were closed after having rescheduled me two times. Then the owner was in a van and said if I download the Mobile app and show him the code I can have the keys. I do this, pay online, later get called from uhaul accusing me of stealing a vehicle. After arguing for over an hour with people on the phone, I was finally able to move. There was no compensation for what took place. All I got was a “sorry”. This comment is very breath, but I plan to go into more detail on your social media pages. Worst experience ever...

Thankfully the regional manager was there. People claimed they had no idea how to check out. Trailer full of grass clippings. Lots of program issues for the regional manager as it took a while. Price was again wrong from reservation, but he fixed it. Thankfully he was there or it would have been really bad.

We didn't get the size we requested. We had to wait for 20mins to get the keys. The uhaul was not cleaned before I took possession.

The moving pads were wet in a bag and smelled like mold. We couldn't even use them. We had to go buy some at the last minute.

Person was not there. His father that works at the restaurant had to go get him at his home. Half hour later he finally shows up. Took another half hour to check out.

This was the weirdest pickup location I've ever been to. Upon arriving, I found it to be a dirty, hole in the wall kind of restaurant that also happened to be a neighborhood uhaul location. My reservation was for 12pm and once I got inside, I was told that the guy that deals with uhaul wouldn't be in until 1. When I said that my reservation was for noon, they said they would try to contact him. After many ignored phone calls, he finally arrived around 12:40 and then still took 30 minutes to complete the reservation.

I wanted to rent a van for a way to take a few things to storage. A van was not available for use, which I understand, I was tossed the keys to a 10' box truck. NO ONE went with me to check the mileage or state of the vehicle. I called from the truck to see if they needed the mileage and they said no. I told them what the mileage was! The only paperwork I received was the receipt for the extra insurance I purchased. My move was done in Canal Winchester. I was then charged for 176 miles WHICH I DID NOT USE! I got no help from Val's and then was told to call U-Haul themselves. I was given a reference number and told a Mr. Robert George would call me. That was two days ago AFTER they charged me an additional 166.02 for miles I didn't use. I am expecting a call soon - if not I am going to the BBB and contacting the Atty General's office. This, in my opinion, is robbery! I will not blame U-Haul until I know they refuse to remedy this situation. I will blog and let everyone know that the service at Val's is unacceptable. I expect to be contacted by U-Haul asap to remedy this situation for me. Right now I am extremely upset! I am concerned that I haven't been contacted yet. I will not just allow U-Haul's representative make such an expensive mistake! Tina


Worst experience ever, worst customer service, will never visit the locations, would rather use an expensive option, only used the truck for 3hours but was charged 2 days rental, told them l do not need safe move coverage but he went on to charge me for 2 days coverage, called them but they refused to reverse the charges

Took the keys to my truck and said "that's all I need". This was the end of the transaction. The man at the counter obviously had more important things to tend to rather than trying to close out my contract or inquiring if I had an questions or problems with the truck. Judging by the days events earlier with uhaul representatives, I should have expected far less and maybe should be thankful this engagement wasn't any more protracted. I would never recommend this site to anyone nor any of uhaul's services in the future.
