Received call day before that they overbooked the van. I had rented for 24 hours But was being asked to return it that evening or early in the morning. Explained I needed the van for the full reservation And was told I needed to â€˜do them a favor.' In the end I was able to keep my reservation but was very put off - why didn't they just call the next reservation to help them but shouldn't be customer's issue. The Cargo Van was in excellent condition. It drove smoothly, and there were no equipment malfunctions. The only downside was that I had requested furniture pads, but they were not provided. It would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could have brought my quilts from home or something similar.Kaitlin H.
The check-in process took longer than I expected, particularly since I had already entered my drivers license information during checkin a few days earlier. Then, during the checkin, the code I was sent for the key (since I was doing a contactless pickup) was incorrectâ€”it was all numbers and the lock was letters. I chatted the help person and they told me to go inside, but the location was closedâ€”padlock closed. I eventually spoke with a rep (Nico) who was very helpful but I am still very irritated about the service I'm general since I had to start moving an hour later than I planned. This is not my first negative experience with Uhaul and I will do everything I can to never use uhaul again.Kayla V.

The truck was practically brand new with 3900 miles, it was clean, well maintained, new tires etc. Ran like a champ! The location has a pretty reduced parking where they sell used cars. Good location if you plan on renting a 15 foot truck or smaller. Very friendly and down to earth staff.DANIEL M.

Overall a horrible experience. Truck which was reserved was not connected with my account before pick up. I was charged for insurance when I specifically chose to go without it. And then the agent wouldn't do anything to fix it. Great place if you're looking to waste your time and get ripped off.Benimain K.

The clerk did whatever he wanted, he assumed I wanted insurance, which I didn't....he did t ask and then told me it was too late. For Payne t I held the reservation with a credit card, but explained that I wanted the final bill paid by my credit card, he ignored my request and charged the card. I picked up the U-haul in front of the location (because it had after hours pick up, how else do you explain me making a reservation from 6:30-10:30pm) so I never went inside. The truck was clean minus a few things in the bed of the truck. Upon returning the truck (an hour early) the spot where I picked it up from was occupied, and the lot next to the building had only two spots, both occupied (one by a u-haul and one by a chicago police vehicle). So I called customer service to ask where to park. the first person I spoke with was Judy, and she told me I could not return after hours, but I explained the reservation hours and agreed to forward me to an area manager (the call was forwarded straight to a voicemail, it did not even ring). So I called back and talked with Cherly who told me the same thing (not an after hours drop off location). She also told me that I could not return it anywhere else and that I had to keep it overnight (which I did not want to pay for). I am also flying out of the state tomorrow and work in the morning, I don't have time to return the truck at 9am. She offered no solution except noting it in the records. This is dissappointing and frustrating for multiple reasons. Why would u-haul let me make a 4 hour reservation if I could to return the car there? Why does customer service not know that I can in fact drop off the car there? Why can't I drop off the u-haul at a different location if there is nowhere to park so that I don't have to pay extra for a problem that u-haul has created? I left the car parked on street near the store and put the keys in the lock box as indicated on the app. The quality of the pictures may not be the best as it was raining but I will not be paying for this service again, nor do I think I should be paying for the service today after I saw how u-haul treats their customers. If you'd like to double check that this actually happened you can review the recordings of the audio from my phone calls with judy and cherly.Paula R.
