This location is abysmal and depressing. To get my truck, I was dropped off by a Lyft. I TRIED to pick up my truck with the app, but of course the app said my truck would be ready at date/time - which does not let me actually do anything. I walked around the entire building looking for the entrance. After walking around for 5 minutes in 19 degree weather, I finally gave up and called the location. Turns out it's a tiny little kiosk up by the road. How would I have ever known that? I go to the kiosk and the guy does something on his computer that then lets me check in. I walk from his kiosk to find the truck, which is way in the back of the huge parking lot. Then I have to walk BACK to the kiosk (in 19 degree weather - again) to get the keys. Then I proceed with taking a bunch of silly photos of my drivers license and myself and the truck. Why can't your system store my face and ID for all my pickups? The online check in is just awful. FIX the online check-in system. It has never worked properly for me and I always have to talk to a representative. How would this ever work after hours?

The dispatcher was rude and unhelpful. He said he didn’t have the truck I reserved and told me I should have called to confirm before I came. He said there was nothing he could do and that I had to call uhaul. I asked him to call and he refused. After I called uhaul and they asked me to put the dispatcher on the phone, miraculously he had the truck I reserved.

Someone clearly smoked cigarettes in it there were ashes on the dash. Staff was friendly & helpful though & felt I got what i paid for

When I previous rented with U-Haul, the salesperson would drive the car out of the lot, tell me where everything was in the car and looked at the miles and made sure everything was in order. When I got in the car, I didn't notice right away but a light was on that said low tire pressure, from left wheel. I had to drive back to Uhaul and he told me there was nothing he can do (NOT EVEN PUT AIR IN THE TIRE) and there was not another van available so I had to rent a 10ft truck, as well has pay more insurance since it was a larger vehicle ($14. instead of $10.)

It was hard to find the front office. You should put up signs indicating that the front "office" is the little cabin by the entrance. My party and some other party circled around the building a couple of times. We only found it because some other client went over there.

I am furious. I returned the van after filling it up with gas and they still charged me for gas. I have called and emailed and still have not received a response and now have to dispute it with my credit card.

Made a reservation to pick-up at a location close to home and was sent here. Called customer service only to have them read from a script. Offered nothing for the inconvenience and then made notes in my reservation regarding my contact with them. Will not be using U-Haul ever again and will be warning others that U-Haul makes derogatory notes in their reservation system.

My only complaint is I pulled into lot and went to main building, all doors locked. I walked around the whole building and could not find any personnel. I then noticed a blue kiosk at the entrance of gate with an employee. I guess my bad for wasting time

Truck was fine but the lot costs $8 to park and leave your car there during your rental, and the price per mile switched from $0.69 when I booked it online to $0.99 in person, so that was annoying.

I received a phone call the day of my move, three hours prior to me supposed to picking up the truck, that no truck was available for me and to call U-Haul and see if I can get another one. So you confirm my location the night before, then day of the move tell me no dice and then tell me to find my own replacement. Call south loop location, they were great and professional. They were booked so they called the address on halsted. I get a call back from south loop saying the unprofessional person you employ at halsted had a truck for me. I call this person to try to confirm this and no answer. I call back south loop and they reassure me he’ll have one and he never answers his phone....what?! You are a professional at work running a business and I’m supposed to be okay with that excuse?? Not to mention I already paid for this truck TWO weeks ago. South loop reassured me to call them if I have problems picking up. I get to halsted and give the guy my reservation number, he tells me my order is not confirmed although like I’ve said I already paid, I already had a confirmed location, that location did not have the truck, and then south loop set up this new location. I call south loop who puts me on hold for 20 minutes never to return because I hung up. Turns out your unprofessional employee just felt like being an asshole and giving me a hard time for no reason because he did in fact have my reservation. After all this crap from your company I was an hour late for using the elevator in my building that I have to pay to use. I want a full refund

I ordered a 24/7 pick up, showed up on time and there was no one there to get a key. The owner of the store apparently messed up the order and put it in wrong, and when we called his phone was shut off. It took two hours of waiting on hold with customer service until one wonderful person, Nadia, was able to rent us a different truck that was at the lot. I had hired movers and had to ou them for 2 extra hours of wait time and I missed my move out time and was fined all while waiting 2 hours to get my truck.
