When I arrived there was no one at the front desk and the door was locked. I rang the door bell twice waited several minutes and there was no answer. I called the number on my reservation contract and received a voice message to call an alternate phone. I called the alternate number and was connected with a man who when I explained what I was there for, told me I should ring the damn doorbell. He then came to the front door to let me in but was rather miserable, I think that he had just woke up although it was a little after 1:00 pm. The truck was in good operating condition but not swept nor clean in the in the back of the truck.

When a customer specifies a specific pick up location do not confirm the order unless u can guarantee the equipment in that location for that date. In other words RESERVE the truck at the specified location! I had to drive ACROSS the city at rush hour on a Friday and back again to get this truck - i had to have this size. It cost me mileage and valuable time. I am Seriously reconsidering using Uhaul ever again. Not happy and not impressed.

This location should, under no circumstances, be allowed to continue representing U-Haul as a dealer. I have dealt with this location before. It is on the site of a truly abysmal, dirty little motel that is in terrible disrepair. The state of the location alone should make U-Haul cringe! Further, despite it being noontime on Saturday, there was no one there; just a sign on the motel office door saying the member of staff would be back at 1 pm. I resorted to calling your customer service line to complete the drop off formalities, as I had no idea what to do and no paper rental contract. I was NOT impressed.

This location at the Fort Henry Motel was like walking into a horror movie. It is a dingy run down motel with beat up old couches in the office where the U-Haul business is run. You should go see it, so you truly understand the locations representing your company.

Again - this location was twenty minutes away when we had no other vehicle. The location manager had to drive us back to town out of the goodness of his heart. This review is not about the pick up or drop off location. It is about the failure of Uhaul central to provide the service that you advertise. ALSO - your transfer option on your customer service - hangs up on the person. I was hung up on 5 times in the process of booking this van - 5 times!!! And everytime it was a 10 minute wait to speak to anyone in the first place. Your company completely failed to offer me a comfortable or convenient move. ou have lovely people working for you - and I can't imagine why.

Well to start how about when someone call's and ask's for a pick up at 8:00am and they say yes 8am is good and then had to sit around and wait till 9 almost just to get going make it for a time that location opens for so you don't make people wait around

I had the worst experience ever picking up this vehicle. It was filthy dirty. I had to clean and mop the inside of the box because I would not put my furniture on it otherwise. I have photos taken of me having to mop the trick out. I have already expressed this during a telephone call with U-haul and I wonder who I should be sending these photos to because I am completely dissatisfied with this experience on Kingston.

This was not the location I wanted. I got a confirmation that the location I wanted was fine. The confirmation I got two days before pickup did not have the truck I wanted so I ended up having to go to a location that was terribly inconvenient. I called to ask if the truck could be moved to the preferred location and wasn't told "we don't move trucks". Four days later I had to rent another truck and had exactly the same problem. Very disappointing that the Web site says one thing but reality is completely different and very inconvenient.

Doug, owner of Fort Henry Motel was Fabulous to say the least. The Inside Sales Personal was also excellent. The ONLY issue was, that information from the call centre wasnt always accurate and I had to drive an extra 1/2 an hour to P/U a vehicle. ..NOT IMPRESSED, but as I said, all was good.

The owner operator ( Doug ) of the Fort Henry Motel was exceptional !!! He saved me by not only providing me with the size of truck that I originally wanted (26') not a 15' W/ a 6' x 12' trailer, but he was professional and understanding. You guys provided me with NO truck at my original P/U location. Thank God for your inside sales force which in turn gave me fee discounts that made up for my troubles. I will again use U-Haul in the future.

We are not happy with our Uhaul experience today. We had booked the pick up location to be a 753 King St., and this was confirmed in an email last night. I received an email changing the pick up/drop off location to The Fort Henry Hotel at the far other end of town. I then went on the website to change the location back. My husband still had to drive to the other end of town to pick up and drop off the UHaul. Not happy at all with this, as it cost us more money for gas and more time which we really didn't have. I am hoping that you will compensate us in some way for this, as this was unacceptable. Now I have to waste more time writing to you about it. Sincerely yours, Mark and Linda

No one there and when called said they would be back in 10 minutes. Waited for over 25 minutes and still no one returned. Left and then received an inflated gas bill from them claiming tank as less full than it really was.
