I understand that it is a small town and that perhaps there isn't enough business to install a full time staff just for the rentals, and that would ensure snowplowed lot and cleared windows or even just a windshield brush, but I tried to phone the local UHaul number the day before booking to confirm that the branch actually had inventory, but the customer had not initialed the mailbox for messages, and then when I discovered the business was actually the Ultramar I tried that local number, and that, too, was uninitialized. Its a little unnerving to book 2 guys for labour and a storage place without actually knowing if the van will be there. Luckily it was, and I was a little nervous the van would not be able to get out of the snow as the lot was barely touched with a plow, but it did, luckily, because of some swift driving on my part. Other than the lack of readiness of the van (understandably given the circumstances) I found the server at the desk quite friendly and professional.

Make sure that what I have made reservations for is there when I pick up or at least call me to notify me that my reservation is not there. Now I had to find out when I picked it up that the 10 ft cubicle I rented was not there (never was according to the people that work there) and they can not give me a 15ft cubicle instead I have to call and get my reservation changed instead. Phone call took an hour. Lady on the phone said she would apply a 50 dollar discount as I did not get what I should have gotten but she could not do it that day so I had to call again myself the next day to get a $50 discount. Which not even covers the extra cost I had for gasoline and the extra parking space I had to pay for as the truck is 5 ft longer and did not fit in my reserved paid for parking spot.....

The representative was very rude. The gentlemen in front of me had booked his rental 3 weeks in advanced and was told "too bad" it wasn't available. As well with my own rental he was very rude and would not accept the prepaid visa payment and indicated that the unit was not available - I did get the rental- I would strongly encourage you to find another location to represent you. I will never use uhaul in midland again only because of the representative

Truck was filthy the box was not swept or cleaned the was mud and dirt on the floor. Good thing I pack most of my stuff in plastic bed bags. There was 48 km to empty in the gas tank. The rental agents were good and the only reason I would provide any recommendation for this location. But the truck, very poor

They got the size I needed wrong. They are into a half hour of my time doing the contact. And when I went to drop it off I had to come back the next day cause the guy working had no idea how to charge me and I woke up the next morning to an email saying it was deducted from my credit card after I specifically asked for it not to be! Needless to say I flew into that store to have a freak out.

The truck I rented was unavailable therefore leading me to have no choice but to rent an additional. My preferred pick up location was changed without notice, I never received call or voicemail of pick up instructions leading me to have to call myself and being on hold for almost 20 minutes. The additional truck was waiting to be serviced and had battery issues. Overall I will never be using this company again, I rent trucks frequently and gave this company a chance. I feel this was a large and costly mistake.

The owner, an older guy, I assume of the Ultramar station who did the initial bookine/acceptance of credit card etc, needs to improve his customer service. He got mad at me for not knowing the exact mileage I was going to travel and told me to figure it out by calling a number he provided and told me if I don't like doing it, then leave and waved me off. creating a scene/drama. Maybe it can be seen on their security camera. I told him to "ssshhhhh" and no need for his anger and the way he was treating me and he told me not to shoosh him and to leave. Then he calmed down and gave me the assumed mileage calculation and paperwork and I left. He must have had a B in his bonnet that day or something.

With the expectation of a quick self-checkout I found that the Android u-haul app wouldn't accept any pictures taken and instead had to start the process over on an IOS device. Then had to wait in line with 4-5 others trying to rent a vehicle. The sole employee available, who was friendly and did his best, had to work the cash-register for those purchasing gas while supporting people trying to get a u-haul. It wasn't a quick or particularly pleasant experience.

Challenging for the staff since it is a busy gas station. But he got it done. Limited supplies based on their available space. It is not their number 1 business

There was a problem with the system where it claimed I needed to put more fuel in the vehicle. It caused a hassle and I had to call uhaul head office to deal with it. Then they charged an extra 2 bucks because I went 5 km over. There was no clarity on the mileage I had for the rental, and for 2 bucks, just eat the cost. Your questions don't cover the other service issues at uhaul. Next time I'll try another company to compare service.

I reserved at trailer and hour before I was scheduled to pick it up I was contacted to say it was taken to another location leaving with little option. The company set me up with a huge truck that I didn’t want then charged me an extra day and gas convenience fee dispute returning on time and filling up to where it was when I rented it. Horrible experience!

I don't understand why this cost so much I got the truck at 9 in the morning and yes I was late store was closed but it was around 11 that night and to top it off it was under a half a tank and they have it posted that you fill it up and that not the first time so please tell me why my bill was 248.00 dollars for my time I had it

Absolutely ridiculously rude customer service. First we got notice the day before our move that the closest truck was 70km away from us. Customer service hung up when we asked why we would not have got notified sooner than the day before. After driving to a different town to pick up the reserved truck (that was already paid for) it was double booked. All Nishanthan did was yell at me about how he’s not giving us the keys and how it’s not his problem even though we had a confirmation paper with the truck number on it.

I much prefer the original agreed pickup site (Pine St, Waubaushene); the fold down trailer fender was bent, side marker light was not functioning, one tire had a metal barb sticking into the rubber tire

The people at Ultramar did not have the reservation I completed on line at their end,.,. the Customer service person was unsure how to complete the reservation to provide me with paper i was there for over 1 hr waiting to pick up the trailer..However, when i returned it I got there 15 min over the time and was forced to pay an additional day.. therefore I kept the trailer again.. it was very unorganized.. for pick up..when we did it all on line prior for pick up.

The reservation system has changed and I cannot make the reservation in person at the Midland location. And your on line reservation system is not great.. Also there has to be a better way of figuring out level of gas and number of miles than cel phone picture. I did not have a cel phone when I arrived

Need to have the right equipment stocked.... (furniture dolly) etc..... but overall friendly had the right sized truck.
