The Uhaul system sent me to this location, under the premise Of guaranteed availability. We had to pay 85.00 for transportation to this location. When we arrived the office was closed. The mobile check in was not working properly. I called and spoke to customer service, they said the lot was supposed to be open and, that multiple trucks should have been available. It took another 2hrs, to finally get through to a district manager who was able to connect with the property owners. We then had to wait another half hour for her and the Uhaul area manager to arrive. It was another 20mins or so before we were finally able to get on the road. The truck itself was in need of service. The headlight switch was broken and pushed through the dash, the passenger door window crank kept falling off, the tire pressure light was on, it had less than 3/4 tank of gas and the driveline sounded like a banshee screaming while in motion. So the entire experience was god awful, we were sent to the middle of nowhere and stranded for 3hrs before we finally got assistance. Then, they still charged me full price. 185.00 from Wilkesboro, NC to Columbia, SC. While I appreciate Teresa, the DM getting it resolved when she was finally aware, the entire experience was terrible.William R.
