Vehicle was not there when I showed up. They had to call around to see where the vehicle was. Then I had to drive to the other side of town. Set me back a hour and s half on my move

I've been overcharged for over 150 miles on a 40 mile trip. You can improve the next customer experience by having your mileage documented properly. Don't charge $320 dollars for a move under $100. Your franchise workers need to be more aware of mileage on their trucks. I've rented from uhaul for 20 years many times. I'm going to Penske from here on out

When I rented there truck I told the woman I would drive about 2o miles. She told me to put a gallon of gas in and it would be OK. I put $5.00 of gas in the truck before I returned it. That should have been enough to cover the 22.8 miles I drove. Why was I being charged $23.85 for gas? When I returned my vehicle I tired to address this, showing you the recipe and calculating the milage. I was told not to worry. Now I am wasting may time trying to get my money back.

Although the vehicle itself was great, rental was easy, check-out was a little rough. It was clear that the guy at the counter was wearing many hats and juggling a lot at the time we were there, the lack of eye contact and the constant cussing and F bombs in front of my son were a little much.

The new after-hours rental process is cool, but is an exercise in frustation. The website tells me I have to use the mobile app to pick up the truck, but the photo part of the app does NOT WORK on a Samsung S4 or a Samsung S7 Edge. I called the rental number, and they walked me through logging in via the website on my phone browser, but by that time the 15 minute rental window (which seems really short!) was up, so they had to bump my rental up half an hour. Then when I went to finish up the truck pickup process on the website, it said I was renting for 2 rental periods at double the cost. I didn't end up getting charged double, but your system needs some serious improvement.

The truck I reserved wasn't there, so I took a cargo van - which was fine if that had been it - but the van almost overheated after less then 20 miles of driving (I'm not sure if the temp gauge was just malfunctioning or if the engine really was over heating because the fuel gauge also seemed to not be working as it never moved from the full mark). This last issue, the fuel gauge being stuck on the full mark, should also be corrected as I was asked to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel in it as when I checked it out - but all I could really do was top it off - how was I to know if it wasn't half full when I picked it up? This vehicle needs to be better serviced.

Everything was great and super easy



The truck, although reliable, definitely was a bit beat up. I get the impression that U--haul itself isn't too keen on upkeep, thus driving these trucks into the ground. The trucks engine felt rough, and the interior smelled of oil and sweat. All that said, she's a working truck, and she's been worked to the max! I do like that there was a lock provided for the truck, as past experiences required I have my own lock. I asked for packing blankets, and the provider said he didn't have them, but noted there was some in the packing area, and that was helpful. Other than the funk, the U-haul experience was positive, and I never hesitate to use the company when I do my moving, and have about four times.

Holiday Smog gave us guidelines to refill the tank to 5/16ths full. For instance, it said that if you are at empty, add this many gallons. Their paperwork WAY overestimated how much gas to put in. It seemed like a cheap scam to get free gas. It was disappointing. I would recommend them to a friend, but I would tell them about about filling the gas tank.



Mark was amazing. He was very helpful.. stayed late to make sure we were good to go! Highly recommend!

I rented the truck online for late afternoon at a different location and arranged for moving people to come, then I get a call the day before saying I need to come to this location and they close at noon! I had to scramble to reschedule the movers then get up at 5am to have the truck back by 11am on Sunday. A bad experience overall. Most of my previous U-Haul experiences have been good. Thanks, Mike
