First uhaul messed up my reservation....them.i am charged for an extra 22 miles that I had to travel to get the truck....then the independent dealer didnt properly train her new employee and he couldnt reach her by phone THEN then dealer decided to try to talk to me like I'm a criminal who's trying to tear up her truck because I needed it for a few extra days THEN proceeded to lie to me and tell me she needed the truck back because it was due out for a rental which was totally false...... bad form!!!!!
The trailer i picked up had a flat tire and the rest of the tires were low. The truck was missing cup holders and had mismatched tires
The lady who checked me in forgot my dolly and when I had to drive 11 mile back to pick it up seemed put out that she had to go find one. And when I asked about being charged the extra 22 miles she said I had to take that up with uhaul
I have rented from this location before and was much more satisfied. I physically called to reserve my truck. Only a 10' for $19.95 was available. No problem. The location is close and convenient. I was given a pick up time of 10am. I reserved the truck with a Visa gift card as we were moving someone from a nursing home to storage, and they only have a fixed income, so someone gave them a gift card to help pay for their move. On the phone...no issues. A voicemail back to me from Lisa said my reservation was all set, but my pickup time was changed to 11am. Still no problem. When we get there to pick up the truck, I'm greeted by the words "Your reservation was inline and you're lucky I'm still here. I was about to leave to go deliver a ham." I informed her I did not reserve online, but with her "assistant" as she called her. There comments made about not even renting UHauls anymore because it's such a pain. I asked why I had to pay an additional 99 cents per mile for weekend rates when I was picking up my truck on a Fridsy MORNING and my adult children who were helping me had to take off work on a business day...Friday morning (not yet a weekend) She said it counted as a weekend. Then she's stated all the extra fees, insurance, taxes, etc...My $19.95 truck rental cost over $60 plus gas. And to utilize the gift card, she needed a $100 deposit, none of which I was informed of on the phone or prepared for when I came to pick up my little 10' truck. I ended up paying for this person's move from my own account and found THIS overall experience so unpleasant. I can't say after this experience I would be willing to rent from UHaul or this location again.
The online check in to get the vehicle is not real user friendly took over 20 minutes
Originally suppose to pick trailer up at Columbia location and it was not there. Waited 1.3 hrs. for someone to tell me this. Only one worker on a Saturday morning. This was unacceptable and there was several other people waiting behind me.
The only way to make this experience better would be to have cruise control on the truck! Most people aren't just moving across town, so cruise control would be great!

This location was excellent. The ma'am that was working was extremely helpful and very easy to work with. She made sure I had all of the correct paperwork and information I needed when dropping off the truck as well as made sure I was taken care of. I would absolutely recommend using this location to anybody looking for U-Haul services.

This comment has nothing to do with customer service at the location. But, my bumper was ripped off my car and it was the right hitch. Now, I know you take pride for your work, but for some reason a reimbursment of your services for a simple $188 and some change, is too much for you to help me fix this repair myself immediately since this is my only vehicle. Having a family can be hard, and this makes it unnecessarily hard! I'm very disappointed with this go around, and I've used your services nation wide, even drove your vehicles coast to coast no damage. I'm a firm believer in paying it forward. I love your services, but in this instance you have failed me, and it's leaving somewhat of bitter taste, because this isn't a good time for this to have happened. I wish someone would contact me ASAP regarding this issue, and don't just call and not leave a message, and move on! Please genuinely contact me and resolve this. I don't think improvement is necessary as everything went according to the reservation and plan.
No one was there when we dropped off the truck, and we were not sure what to do. Our pick ups location had instructions on the door about what to do if you dropped off a truck after hours, but the drop off location did not. We looked at their website, and it did not even mention Uhaul on it or have any indication what we were supposed to do. We ended up putting the keys through the mail slot and hoped for the best. It worked out, but it was nerve-wracking not knowing if that was what we were supposed to do or not.
This company is a scam. You rip people off for a living. Your purpose is not to help people move. It's to fuck them over in anyway possible. This is the worst company I've ever used. Horrible customer service, and lying employees, worst morals possible. I will do everything in my power to make sure none of my friends, family, co-workers, or enemy's use this company. All around the worst experience I've ever had. Your company and employees should be ashamed to work for such a shit hole.
This location was not opened when I dropped off . It would have been nice to have instructions on where to leave the truck and a key drop.
I went to this location (the 6530 Urbana Road) because the original confirmed reservation (****762) at the U-Haul and Storage of West Columbia in Springfield Ohio did not have the trailer I reserved. The trailer I reserved was noted as having a ramp by the way. Mr. Brett Massie at this location at 8:15am asked if I was there to get an open 6x12 trailer and then informed me the trailer I received confirmed reservation for was not there, he did not have a 6x12 enclosed trailer for me, he had tried calling the person who had not turned it in and offered I could go to 6530 Urbana Road in Springfield to get a trailer. He failed to tell me this location did not open until 9:30am however. I have never worked with the same person whenever I have rented equipment form this location. Mr. Massie informed me $50.00 will be refunded to me on my credit card (I have not seen this as yet however). Patricia Penwill at the 6530 Urbana Road location did a wonderfully superlative job. Her customer service was very accommodating. She expressed empathy for my current experience, and completely answered all of my questions. she was a delight to work with. If you need U-Haul equipment in this area, try the 6530 Urbana Road location first. They are smaller and have limited availability, but the friendly service is worth it if you can get your equipment needs met here.
Service was very good, when I realized the 10' truck I rented didn't have a 1 7/8" ball, the guy there went out of his way to swap out the bolt on hitch from my truck to another. I still don't understand why UHaul doesn't use Reese hitches like the sell for these 10 ' truck? It worked, I was able to tow my motorcycle trailer and was happy, I recommend this location On my travel from OH to TX I had a flat, was very upset at first, but UHaul located my position and had a Company fix it within an hour and a half, great service, they even checked up on my wait I waited. The 10' truck I rented was loade, I towed my motorcycle trailer and still averaged slightly over 14 MPG, great mileage for that much weight and the GM product handled very well, impressed with their products and service, keep up the good work UHaul.bwish I had the young man's name that helped me, he was great
