Man at pickup location was very nice, uhaul software sucked. I had prepaid and pre checked in and they were still unable to complete the process in a regular man. Man at the desk went above and beyond to make up for software failure.

Poor experience with UHaul. Time and location was switched on us from originally scheduled reservation. When we tried calling to see if we could get something at our original time and location, Cheree initially attempted to help us out and then had us call scheduling. We were very disappointed by her customer service. The gentleman at Postal Annex was wonderful. We contacted him the night before and he provided us with helpful info. Upon arrival for UHaul pick up, the UHaul wasn't there. Again, the gentleman was very helpful and did all he could to contact the late customer. He credited him gas but we then had to take more time fill up for gas. Are time with our movers were cut short and they couldn't finish yet we had to pay for full time. Very disappointed not by gentleman at Postal Annex but by UHaul and Cheree.

The checkout process was confusing and ridiculously complicated. Asking for things like passport, or alternate contact but wife number not accepted and work contact. Over the top crazy. Then have to find another place to drop off lock. Just wanted to get the truck and go.

This review is unrelated to the store itself - who was full of kind people just doing their best. But rather a rating for the reservation department. I had a truly awful experience working with you for our move this last weekend. We had to drive to two different Uhaul locations hours outside of SF on the DAY of our move to get a truck. I was told the closest location for the truck we reserved was Sebastapol (1 hour north of SF). We even called the morning of to confirm the truck would be ready before I left. Your team confirmed it would be ready. I get to Sebastopol and the truck reserved for us was still in LA with the previous renter. That could have easily been checked with a simple phone call to the prior renter before sending us an hour away for a truck that wasn't even remotely near the vicinity. We then had to call the Reservations line and they told us if we could manage a 10 ft truck there was one in Oakland. (Again about 1 hour back the way we just came). I said fine, we'll take it. 5 mins later reservations called us back and apologized that one was now taken. The next closest location was in Oakley (1.5 hours east from where we were in Sebastopol). Given that we had zero other options, we sucked it up and drove to pick it up. Then we drove BACK to SF, where we had to pack up the track and drive 8 hours to SoCal. I am requesting a full refund for the major inconvenience you caused on our move day. We used gas and mileage in our personal vehicles to drive 55 miles from SF to Sebastopol, then 78 miles from Sebastopol to Oakley, then 51 miles from Oakley back to SF. I understand Uhaul experienced a truck shortage due to the number of people moving out of SF. But I've never had such a terrible customer experience and I would like a fair reimbursement due to the additional time, money, and effort it took on our move-in day. I would greatly appreciate your understanding and goodwill to make this right. Thanks, Kristen

need to be open earlier - was later for 9:00 opening, people moving want to get going. Not his fault was being promised a truck 10 miles from the house and having that become a hour and a half away location on the day before

I requested to pick up via the app to avoid any human contact due to the pandemic. I was called the day prior and to to pick up the truck in a tiny store front in person, that day, instead of the day requested. I wasn't ready for the truck yet but made do.

Area is difficult to navigate. No place to park near the store front. UHual truck parking location is far from the store front. Receiving location did not know I was coming.

Customer service was horrible very rude the guy wouldn't even take the I haul that I rented when I was told the other location was closed so I went to this location like I was told but this guy was so rude I had to call the uhaul place where I picked up the truck to get them to talk to the guy and let him know that I have to drop the truck off so after running all around town I got charged an extra charge for mileage because I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off from U-Haul to U-Haul

The people at the Neighborhood rental were FANTASTIC, but your process to self pick up are extremely lacking. The instructions need to tell a renter WHERE the trucks will be located, When to pick them up, And HOW to use the code once you arrive, A simple paragraph on using the code to open the rear door of the vehicle and get the keys is needed.. Otherwise a successful move.

The store operator did not know how to hook up the trailer at all and never even came to the hook up location to help at all. Luckily I am very mechanical and knew how to hook up everything and use the equipment.

Customer service rep gave me the wrong code for the lock. I spent 30 min trying to figure out the correct code. Cargo area had dusty blankets. Key return seemed rather unreliable; the door looks like it had been pried open before, raising questions about the security of the return area.

Truck cab was beyond disgusting. Visual mold in cup holders , filth on all areas of cab interior. I brought the deplorable conditions to the merchants attention and was informed a truck exchange was impossible. I informed the merchant another truck was parked and appeared clean. He looked in the computer and informed me it was reserved. I took the filthy truck, because I had no choice, due to time restraints. I took a half hour and disifected the cab area. The merchant did come out to the truck with a broom and swept the dirt out of the truck rear storage area. When I showed him the filthy front cabin he said, " What do you expect it's a U-Haul." Well i expect more because I have always rented U-Haul trucks and have never seen one in this condition. The frosting on the cake was when I realized the exterior front potion of the storage cab had been stray painted with a Los Angeles based gang graffiti " 19th Street gang," in red paint. I informed the merchant of the graffiti upon returning the rental. The merchant was already aware of the graffiti before I rented. I hope this isn't a reflection of how this company has come to do business, because I always thought U-Haul was dependable in the past. One more thing, the truck that was supposedly reserved was still parked when I returned to the facility. I take that back, one more thing, the gas tank was on "E" so I had to put a few bucks in the tank before I got started on my moving day.
