I was charged for fuel but we refilled the fuel to the exact amount if not more than indicated on the contract. We paid for the gas ourselves then were charged. Very dishonest.

Absolute worst experience I've had in a rental service. Originally preordered a truck at the Hillside location, but after 15 minutes there was told they have no truck and to go to the Broadview location where a truck would be ready. Upon arriving at Broadview I was told they don't carry that truck and the next closest would be Northlake. After leaving Broadview I was contacted by customer service apologizing and saying a truck was ready to go for me in Villa Park, and they would credit me 50 dollars for the inconvenience. That was fair and while I had to pay the movers a little extra for just standing around with no truck it wasn't a big deal because of the credit. However, upon arriving in Villa Park, I was quite rudely told that the truck I was being given was one they were selling, not renting out. It was however, "one of their best trucks" Still, despite being for sale for an unknown reason, with the disclaimer, "don't lock the doors, They won't open again". I was given an old truck, with all uhaul logos and paint wrapped over. However it got me to my old house just fine and I was willing to overlook how sketchy it was, given my time constraint. After filling up the truck with my property however, half way from the one house to the new one, the parking brake kicked on while doing 55, and veered the truck to the side. The parking brake service light, and brake itself was on, and wouldn't disengage. Calling the store I just rented from they claimed they had no idea, suspiciously asked me if I was just driving local or short, and gave me the number to uhaul roadside assistance. While on hold or getting connected for around 15 minutes the parking brake let off and I hung up and kept going. Upon pulling up to my new house, the same thing occurred and jerked me to the side and the brake locked on. Since I was no longer on the side of the random road I called roadside again and they said they'd have someone there in just under 2 hours to take a look. This gave me more than ample opportunity to have my moving people get everything off the truck and into the house, but once more I was stuck having to pay people for moving, while, I had no available truck to work with. The technician arrives and after half an hour or so, diagnoses the problem as being that the fuses and electrical system on the truck were bad and that the fuses were overheating very quickly, engaging the brake. His only solution was to pull over every few minutes and let it all cool off. He then proceeded to look through the hood and tell me they should have never rented this truck out given that problem and several others he noticed under the hood. With that knowledge we headed back to my old house, needing to stop several times to let it cool off, and driving in the side lane to make sure we didn't cause any accidents when it would kick on. This allowed us to, while several hours late, go to the old house, back to my new house, and I paid everyone a

Keep a selection of popular trailers available close by to customers, and don't tell us you will have them in Streamwood or even Elk Grove, then make us drive all the way to Villa Park.

This Uhaul location is the best location to use in my experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my moving situation and did their best to do the best deal they could find for my haul. Thank you guys so much for helping lift an easier load and haul.

Everything about my experience was wonderful. Equipment was great. Young men working there were professional and considerate. As I added another day to my rental from Uhaul online the night before, i was charged another day as I expected. When I returned the local dealer had no record of the charge put through to my credit card and seen as a text to his local uhaul dealer. When I tried to ask why I wasn't given credit for the additional payment I made and had a record of, the old man I dealt with when I returned the van was dismissive, insulting and took no time to understand my valid claim but just said "This is corect...I don't know how to get you to understand" He should not be involved in customer service. I have used Uhaul many times and will continue to but this person alienates your customers.

The checkin process (returning the trailer) took a long time. Someone else was being helped but I told him why I was here. Then when it was my turn, he said you are all set. I pushed back a bit as I wanted a receipt to acknowledge I returned the trailer and dolly.

Nothing, could not have been better. I would have liked to get a better rate per mile, but it worked out fine. Thanks

The leaf spring on passenger side was not at same height as drivers side so trailer was crooked.

The Truck I rented smelled of cigarette smoke so bad I had to spray the inside to get rid of the smell. The head left head light pointed to the ground making it had to see at night without the high beams on

Charley's auto was excellent. But the service I got from Uhaul itself and the 1st pickup location was horrible. I called uhaul and told them I was pretty sure a truck would not be available at the location I was sent. I was reassured it would be. Of course I arrived the next day to no truck. I drove excessively out of my way to not receive a truck only to be sent to another location that had several trucks. It was closer. I should of been sent there originally. I will never deal with uhaul ever again. I'll go directly to the site that I want the rental from. I will also urge my friends to do the same.

Stop posting Charley's auto when it's lucky motors. 3 miles and an hour of theme wasted

friendly staff - better signage is needed for business

Windows and cab interior were very dirty - but vehicle did have 124,000 miles. I cleaned all prior to use. Per mile rate is extremely high considering that the user must also pay for gas consumed

Continue the great service that this location provides. Install backup cameras on all trucks. A very worthy investment.

Our only problem was that we were originally routed to an address on St. Charles Rd., not Roosevelt. Once we found it, the folks there were extremely helpful.

I reserved trailer 2 weeks in advance. I called the day before to verify reservation was good. I picked up it up at 4 pm on Friday. When we arrived the trailer had 4 marker lights out. When I brought it to their attention they told me they don't worry about marker lights and cannot repair them. They said they only worry about the tail and brake lights. They said nobody ever bothers with the marker lights. I tried to expain to them that i would be driving at night and that this is in violation of Illinois law. They said there was nothing they could do. Since i had to pick up furnture from a store that closes at 7pm and would not have time to find another trailer i had little choice but to take it. Needless to say i was not happy with pulling this trailer knowing i could be stopped at any time. Luckily I wasn't stopped but just think if i had been in an accident the issues UHaul may have had. I expect more from Uhaul but realize that Charleys is an agent and may not value your credibility as much as you. I will rent from Uhaul again but never from Charleys. Thank you Don Yarbrough
