Can you explain why there is a $30.00 maintenance fee in addition to the $4.50 per gallon of gas if the vehicle is returned less than when first rented? I can understand the $4.50 per gallon. This ensures the renter fuels the vehicle at the same level or above prior to returning the vehicle. I'm not understanding the $30.00 maintenance fee.

Brian was a super helpful person when I thought I had lost the key to the truck. It turns out I had packed the key. U-Haul gave me additional time to try and find the key and I did. Thankfully the great customer service helped me with the time to find the key. Thanks so much and I would HIGHLY recommend doing business at Castle self storage

Charged my card twice for the rental. Clerk was not any help st all. Told him the charge had gone through and he did it again. No furniture dolly even though it was reserved. Really poor customer service by the clerk who checked me out. Would have at least thought he could have offered to help me get the dolly in the truck. I just had a knee replacement and have an obvious limp but he just sat behind the counter. Extremely disappointed with this establishment. Still showing two charges on my card.

This location the two young ladies were great and the person on the phone for customer service. But my initial start was horrible. I specifically reserved and Paid for a U-Haul truck and when I got there at the schedule time the place was closed and nobody was there. I then was scrambling around town looking for somewhere but luckily the place that I was to drop my U-Haul off at was still open but all the U-Hauls were rented out but someone had canceled their rental so I was able to get the van rental and they helped me out tremendously because I was on a tight schedule and deadline.. so if this place as a company is going to let you reserved and pay for a rental you should get just that. It was a real inconvenience and I should be reimbursed for my time and efforts. Thank you and have a nice day.

The location was excellent. I had to pay $18 toll-free fees from Virginia to Maryland. It was supposed to be delivered to a uhaul 2 miles from my house. When I arrived at my destination I called the main number and asked if I could return my U-Haul to a closer drop off point. I was told it would be an extra $123 to do that. I asked for my $18 back that I had to use on my EZ Pass and they said someone would call me today no one has done that yet.

Put a hold on our bank account several times which caused overdrafts. When we called they said we had not paid for our rental and asked to sca n credit card again. Two charges of $166 a charge of $133 and $198 for a 5 day rental. To too things off 3 overdraft charges to our bank account and can't even get access to our money for three to five days.

The lady I worked with to pick up and drop of the truck was most pleasant. I would be happy to work with her again. The truck however seemed as if it could use a tune up and definitely an alignment. It was also over priced. I thought I saw $0.99/mile online but it was $1.29/mile due to the weekend. Cannot say I would use uhaul again in the future.

Comment on Question #1 for Rental pick up location: "How would you rate this location overall"? I rated this question "Average" because after having a reserved pickup time of 9am, and after arriving around 9:20am, the rep said the vehicle will be here in 20 minutes. The vehicle was not available until a little after 11am. Having to wait 2 hrs for a reserved vehicle was totally unacceptable. Comment on Question #2: "Was the equipment clean and well maintained"? The inside of the back door of the cargo van had lots of blue paint-like stain that was not noted at pickup. We didn't think to inspect inside the back door.

The customer service that you speak to on the phone is horrible. They have no idea what the policies are and are very unprofessional. I made a reservation--the van was not there when I arrived, we waited for 51 mins. Your policy states that you receive $50 if your vehicle is not there at the time of your reservation, however NOBODY I spoke with even knew about the policy...at the location, or at corporate. I sent an email that was never answered. I expect UHAUL to honor their policy without me having to go through so many phone calls and emails. It should be automatic...
