Advise them to note the “miles to empty†on the fuel gauge as this also helps to know how much to refill the tank with vs just going by the fuel gauge itself.

My truck drop off day was thanksgiving, so there was nobody there.
Wayne S.The doors of the 9' van we rented locked us out and we were stranded for 7 hours with our phones and purses inside the van. Why did the doors automatically lock like that? When I called Customer Service upon my return trip and told them this, the agent stated that she had heard this happening to another customer the week before. Also, we returned the van within our return time slot, and filled the tank to even more than what was in the tank at the start. As this location had no actual personnel on site- I called that day and several days after to ensure it was indeed indicated ‘returned'. It wasn't as no one had gone to check the returned keys in the lock box. I was assured not to be concerned. 5 days later I receive a call stating that my account was not closed and I was asked if I still had then van!! For the love of GoD!!! That got resolved quickly as all the notes were on my file and the person calling me could see them. However, then I see my receipt ( finally) and they've charged me for an empty gas tank. When I called them AGAIN regarding this- they replied that someone else had used the van after me- and because my account wasn't closed, and the new customer had not filled the tank at all- it was my issue. They reversed those charges when- again, they could see all the notes throughout the week that I had been trying to get my account closed.. The whole experience was so frustrating and maddening. And I still don't understand how the van locked us out. Luckily there's rarely a need for me to rent Uhaul. And from now on- I will seek any other option at all cost, than to ever rent from Uhaul again.
Kim I.Van was buried in a snow drift upon arrival for my ‘automated' pickup using my cell phone. No shovel or snow brush provided. Was left to return to my vehicle to use my own snowbrush to dig the vehicle out which took over half an hour before I was on the road. Ther was also a note on the van saying “Please do not oark here, stall is reserved.†Someone should at least check on the vehicle after return and before another customer uses it. We live in Winnipeg which gets snowstorms. The customer should not be left to dig out the vehicle. Or should be instructed to bring a shovel. Unimpressed. Piss-poor customer service.
Derek M.I added a dollie to my reservation, it was not there with the car. Had trouble for the self pick up, cause for some reason I was being asked for a US photo ID even though I am in Canada.
