When I called to obtain a price, I spoke to Ken at Ace Hardware/Hebron. I was told that the cost was $29.95; + mileage @ .79/mi.; and the truck would need to be returned before 7:30 p.m. closing time or put the key in a night drop off box. On Saturday when we picked up the truck, my husband was told the truck had to be back by 2:00 p.m. and we were charged .99/mi. for mileage. Even though we were able to use the truck and had it back before 2:00 p.m., I was very disappointed that we were told a different return time and charged an additional .20/mi. I would suggest that employees understand the rental procedure and costs so this kind of experience doesn't happen again.

The process to rent equipment is ridiculous. Takes entirely too long. I've rented equipment twice in the past 2-3 weeks and both times I was in there for 20 minutes waiting on the worker to navigate their way through your cumbersome application. The issue isn't with the location or the staff. The issue is with your rental process. To add insult to injury, your review page keeps failing when trying to submit.

This is not about the Hebron location. I am upset because I reserved my truck at Glenway Crossings and UHaul switched it to Hebron. This added 50 miles to my trip plus the additional travel time. Another customer said he was switched also but he received a credit.

Not have the customer wait for 30 min after he already made the reservation online. Not have items locked and sealed in the truck like the dolly the customer did not asked for. I had to remove the dolly because it obstructed the loading of the two work tables I needed to transport and then I was charged for it even so I explained it to the guys dropping the truck of after having to drive back to the shop to pick the dolly up which resulted in extra mileage charges already and a waste of my time.

I was disappointed with the billing. I was charged $20 for a drop fee that was not mentioned along with blankets that were not used. Customer service at that location is terrible.

The first truck I was given had some sort of lock on the rear door, & it wasn't one from this location so no one was able to assist in getting a code to unlock it. So I had to return to the Rental location to switch out trucks, which caused a delay in getting to load us the truck & my help was on a time frame (so they left). I was finally able to get a neighbor to assist me in loading the larger items (which was why I rented the truck in the first place). Mgr at the location said I would get a discount on the truck for all my troubles... got a lousy $10 off... !!!! Wow!! Last U-Haul I ever rent & will be sharing my frustrating story with all family & friends! Very disappointed to say the least!!

The whole process was great. Doing this without face to face interaction was good given the current atmosphere. It was lengthy but done well. My only complaint is when I opened the cargo area of the truck only to find tag the appliance dolly I had rented/reserved was not there. Instead there was a standard utility dolly that I was forced to use for moving my refrigerator. Very inconvenient.

I was very disappointed, I returned the pick up truck in the same condition that I got it in and was accused and charged for damages I never did. I have rented from uhaul many times . And never had a problem. I have never damaged anything i rented. I was also very displeased with the service and the knowledge ability of the staff at ace hardware, in hebron Kentucky

Stopped by the Hebron ace hardware store to see about renting a U haul they said there any available but when I called 10 min later through U haul customer service they were one available. Second, it was first reserved for six hours but then when called it was ok to keep for 24 hours... then got emails saying it was late after the six hours.. but called ace hardware again they said no 24 hours.. next day received emails says it was very late when called to find out why this was going on they had the person who reserved it email instead of the person who actually went to pick it up... as well as a snotty attitude from costumer service lady when trying to figure out what happen... total wreck no I will never rent fromHebron ace hardware again... And will make sure I tell everyone what snotty costumer service u haul had...

Gas was supposed to be at 3/4 full. When I picked it up it was halfway between 5/8 and 3/4 full. But as soon as I started driving the vehicle (literally less than 200 yards) the gas gauge dropped to the 5/8 full mark. I had to turn around and have the manager mark the equipment contract with the correct level of the fuel gauge. I was also amazed that the truck's door mirrors (driver and passenger sides) could not be adjusted to where I needed them to get the best view of the traffic on the road. They are locked into one position. Seriously? They need to be adjustable so people have the best view possible of the traffic on the road.

Both mattresses that were inside the uhaul above the wheel wells got soak on the part closest to the floor . Check to make sure the Truck storage is properly sealed from weather .

There needs to be more than one person at the counter. We only needed to pick up the keys but had to wait for 10 minutes while the only associate was registering someone else.

Ace Hardware rules, Uhaul sucks. My account wasn't connected to my reservation even though I made it on my account, so it was lost and took us at least 30 minutes to figure that out. My confirmation emails said my pickup location was at Park Hills, but it was actually in Hebron, which I didn't know because I couldn't reach my reservation, and is at least 30 minutes away from Park Hills. As a result I wasn't able to pick up the truck until 4pm, but my 24-hr reservation still expected me to return it at 3pm. All in all, my experience inside Ace Hardware was great but everything else about this reservation SUCKED and made moving more stressful, not less.

Both in my own experience from using the U-Haul website and that of my U-Haul location we found it hard to access the needed information without frustration and contacting support. Perhaps that would be the one thing to seek improvement upon as the current website lacks good flow in a timely manner and doesn't always register the information to continue on to complete a reservation.

Pick up using mobile is useless when buying other materials/moving equipment. I thought the items would already be inside of the truck that I was renting, but no. Waste of time

Unfortunately we had a very, very poor experience. It took nearly an hour from the time we arrived to get the keys to the van. There was a younger kid who clearly had not been properly trained on how to operate the system. He could not find our reservation number. It took a half hour just to find it. Once he did, the keys were not in the lock box and he could not find them. It took about 25 minutes to find the keys which apparently another co-worker had left in his uniform pocket when he checked in the person that brought the truck back. He was very polite about everything but if you are going to have people working the Uhaul rentals, they should be trained properly. I see this not as a fault of his but of Managements. Check in when we returned the truck took less than 5 minutes. I would have serious reservations about sending anyone to this Uhaul location.

Took a long time to do paperwork to check out vehicle. Not organized and problem with process and computer. Employees very nice and apologetic. After we arrived a our destination and loaded the vehicle it took many attempts to start the vehicle. After about 5 minutes trying to start it, it started. Did not turn it off the rest of the time that we had it (about 3 hours) wasted money on fuel.
