The truck I rented had a 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up. When I returned it. It had a 1/2 tank of gas. I was not given credit for the gas that was not used in the truck. In the future the truck should start out with a full tank then it could be returned with a full tank. Please look at changing this policy.

I typically rent trailers weekly or biweekly for business purposes and am grateful for having conscientious business owners locally I trust are hardworking honest people. Not a hit on the location overall, they were good, so I hit Not Applicable but there was an issue -- We rented a car dolly. Had to put oil on the crank mechanism that tightens webbing that goes over the wheel to get it to move more easily and we also had to use a tool to tighten it up completely. On the side of an Interstate outside a major city this was a bit awkward and fortunately we had what we needed.

I booked the reservation on line in September. When it came time to pick up the trailer, I found out I had to go to a different location with no notification from Uhaul. I should have been notified ahead of time that I would have to pick up the trailer at a different location.

Carstarz is a awesome U-Haul location, friendly staff and good selection, I never feel unwanted or just in the way like I have at other Uhaul businesses. I highly recommend this place!

Carstartz was a great venue, but Uhaul has not gotten their game together there. It sounded very new when I rented my trailer. The biggest disappointment was that I went to the trouble of online registration and it still took 45 minutes to get the trailer. Trailer tires were at 48psi and were rated for 32psi max plus they were dry rotted. I did not have another 45 minutes to swap trailers so I decided to take the trip with it anyway. No problems otherwise and the personnel were very courteous.

We had another bad experience with your company as I reserved a 5/9 Oct 5 for pick up in ARDEN NC on the 24th. Stopped by a day before and they did not have the order nor a trailer. The folk were able to locate one at Carstarz and we were able to get the only one within 25 miles. What good is your on line reservations if it is ignored.

The back of the U-Haul was disgusting we had to clean it before loading our stuff up. There was crumbs all over the interior of the can a moldy dog bone behind the seat and stickiness on center console and floor. There was also a broken windshield wiper with exposed wire.

These folks are great! Family owned and super nice. Last week i returned at car hauler there and left a comment they needed more equipment. So Uhaul gave em 2 stars. Not true. They are 5 stars all the way !! I rent alot from Uhaul for our business. Id give Paty and Rick all our business

Leigh Ervin regional rep - horrible customer service and tone of voice(she insulted me and said the text was watermarked) and she said I got a text at 7:33 am - no text - later found out I did receive email but I do not constantly check my email - pickup location changed - after waiting an hour to pick up at first location. Waiting on phone for customer service help while we drove 30 minutes away and actually got a response on Facebook IM was faster. Then after the move - the gift card wasn’t applied and had to call customer service and she was really helpful and good customer service and voice. Bed experience .

The only drawback was we were pulling the U-Haul with a 40' motorhome and we could not make the turns into their location. They were very helpful with this and let us park it next door and they used one of their trucks to move it onto their site.

Facility very hard to access. Vehicle parked everywhere hard to get in and out with dolly. Tow dolly damaged, printer at facility not working, when I went online to document damage form had expired.

The trailer didn't have up to date light harness first of all. I got to my disabled vehicle and discovered one of the trailer straps are torn nearly in two. I had to purchase an adapter to operate lights on the trailer. The trailer it's self was great as far as design and stability. Just out of date harness and not well maintained wheel straps on car hauler.

After a short mix up on perceived reservation and very specific dimensions I was able to rent a 5X8 trailer that worked great. The owner was very helpful and answered all my questions to the point that I will recommend them as an honest garage that you can trust. Many thanks Gary

We rented a box truck for only a few hours. The people at the shop were really nice and said they were new to renting UHauls, so we were patient with them while checking out the truck (it took about 30 minutes). They asked us an estimated mileage we'd use and said our credit card wouldn't be charged until we dropped the truck off and they got the actual mileage. Well, I got a notification on my phone that my card was charged when we walked out the door (for more than I thought the total should be). I figured it would be ok and we'd adjust if need be if the mileage was different. When my husband went to drop the truck off, the person who knew the most about the UHaul system wasn't there anymore, so the truck didn't get checked in until a few days after we dropped it off. My husband didn't get a receipt or anything since the guy didn't know what he was doing to check it in, though luckily my husband was smart enough to take a picture of the odometer when he dropped the truck off. A few days after he dropped the truck off, I got an email with a receipt from UHaul that was for WAY more and my credit card was charged for that amount. Turns out, they charged us for 3 days of having the truck and for 3x the mileage. I called UHaul customer service and the girl said she'd pass it on to a manager. I got an auto email that they gave me a refund. The amount refunded wasn't nearly enough. I called again asking why the amount refunded was so low and they said we were refunded for the 2 days we didn't actually have the truck, however they said the mileage was right. I let them know we had a picture of the odometer and the customer service agent asked me to email it to her, which I did right away. She said she'd pass it on to a manager and it would be corrected. A few days passed and I hadn't heard anything, so I emailed her again. She said someone from the location would contact me. Again, a few days passed and nothing. So I called UHaul again and managed to get a manager on the phone, who read the report and said the case was closed and mileage was correct. I told her about the photo of the odometer and forwarded it to her. She said she had to get a hold of the district manager, or something. I never got a call back, but I did finally get an auto email from UHaul saying they gave an additional credit. I was very disappointed with the whole process. I had to waste way too much of my time getting my money back that shouldn't have been charged in the first place. They repeatedly told me the mileage was correct, basically calling me a liar, even when I had photos. Since the truck hadn't been checked in on our account for days after we returned it I'm sure it was rented by someone else. Thankfully we had photos so we were able to get our money back. Honestly, I would've liked a phone call from the district manager, but he obviously couldn't be bothered. Hopefully this location gets more training. After this experience I wouldn't want to use UHaul again.

Clean inside of trailer. Check tires for pressure. One was flat and I had to go back to have it changed. Nice people, very helpful and good natured. Excellent check out system to return 24/7

This is a complaint about the online registration process. I rented a 10' truck. I got a confirmation email. The next day, I show up and the rental place doesn't have any record of my rental. Nor did they have a 10' truck. Only a 15' truck. If I can book online, why can't Uhaul.com pass along my reservation information to the pick-up location?
