Lindell staff is essentially an individually owned gas station that can rent uhauls. With this said, no accountability as it's likely all family staff. Took 25 minutes to help me as the guy in front of me was renting a uhaul truck and they couldn't find the keys. Being I rented a trailer (and first time I've ever used a trailer) the guy helping me (John), was awful, didn't help hook up the ball, incorrectly hooked up the chains (didn't cross them and they drug the ground) and didn't check to see if the brake and signal lights worked (which it wasn't hooked up correct and the tightner for the ball was loose and could still be tightened). I asked him if he's ever hooked up a trailer his response was “I've hooked up plenty of trailers but not a uhaul” I left this location as I heard noises and felt something wasn't right and didn't feel safe and went to 620 location, the staff at 620 location identified all the things wrong with the setup and resolved all the issues. I originally went to the 620 location to start my one way reservation, but due to how trailers are turned in that location didn't have any for my pickup time and I had to use Lindell location (as you can see I ended up going to 620 after picking up - fortunately I took side streets for this ~ 2 mile slow drive). Net/net I would not use Lindell for uhaul trailer rentals. This could've turned out really bad, as my safety was potentially jeopardized as well as the hundreds of drivers around me, but listening to my intuition and internal light bulb I was able to not be impacted. I can only imagine if someone didn't have the intuition and proceeded with a long highway trip with incorrectly hooked up equipment, accident and potential deaths waiting to happen. With me posting this comment I'm hoping Uhaul company will at a minimum respond to me directly addressing this issue (we'll see or does this post go unanswered?) but also reach out to Lindells for any corrective actions (and identify other self owned gas stations and readdress safety protocols etc)

Very annoying that the U-Haul app does not let you start your contactless pick-up until the exact time you have it reserved. It was especially annoying because it took about 20-30 minutes to get through the "check-in" process on my phone. It was also very strange that the truck did not come with a full tank of gas. Who wants to go fill up the truck right away when they have a full day of moving?

My pickup was complicated, it was supposed to be using the 24/7 TruckShare. But when I arrived at 5 pm it said I was supposed to return when the location opened at 8 am. Then I noticed it said 8 am on the same day. The attendant was able to help me. My request for a utility dolly with the reservation was not included, I don't know when that got lost, but was able to be accommodated. The checkout experience was slow due to the attendant having to also manage the register for the Chevron.

The truck was filthy, the utility dolly was not in the truck. The reservation time was a joke i was there on time and did not get service for 30 min while the guy attended everyone in the gas station, I WILL NEVER EVER PICK UP HERE AGAIN. the truck had human toe or finger nails in the cup holders there was candy or something all on the floors the back needed to be swept. Absolutely unacceptable!

Absolutely terrible experience. This location is staffed by a guy that has a severe attitude problem and makes you feel like you're significantly inconveniencing him during interactions with him. On top of that, when I got home I realized that the equipment I ordered with my truck (and got an email confirming was ready) had not been included. I called the guy back only to be told that it was my own fault for not checking and that he didn't have the equipment anyway so I'd have to call around to try to find it.

The staff was very hospitable. The guys there were very accommodating as well. I was held up in traffic during the return leg of the rental and they understood my dilemma. I think they need a cargo van at that location 'cause some renters are "afraid" to drive the trucks and only need something to keep their big TVs out of the weather and deter theft. Moreover, cargo vans are easier to handle in this Texas traffic!

As i left with the truck I realized only then a few miles down the road that the tank was not full. When I returned the truck I returned it full as I thought maybe no one at your office had noted that it was removed without being topped off and thought I would have no way to prove it but that I would mention it. I did and the staff did know that it was not full when I took it but forgot to tell me and said only that I was not required to fill it up but offered not even an apology for not informing me of the fuel status. I agree I should have read the paper work before I checked it out and before leaving but I did not. I should have also called U haul the minute I noticed it was not full but I did not.

my pickup location was changed the night before, and when I finally got my truck there were no furniture pads, and I had to go to another location to get them, and wait in another long line. The location i picked up the truck, was not a good experience. I wasn't even shown anything, and i was told to check the mileage and gas myself. I returned the truck late afternoon yesterday and the man told me he was busy and would send me an email saying I returned the truck, but never received one.

Tire could not hold air, stem was leaking. Had to spend 5bucks for air. Kept hearing a banging on roof. Then windshield rubber gasket came off. Banging stopped had to put gasket in cab. Interior was not clean, was muddy and not wiped down. Rained in Katy, when entering the cab next morning, the missing windshield gasket and windshield not sealed caused rain to get into the cab of the truck. Truck needs some maintenance a little TLC goes a long way. Other than that mechanically it was ok. Tranny seemed to slip. Keeping air in tire was a pain.

My pick up and drop off locations were changed and never communicated to me. When I called to change my drop off to a location in my town I was told they have you drop the trailer where they need it.... I'm the one paying for this service how about you give me a location where I need it!

The old guy was helpful but not one question about the truck or my expierence driving it. Yet on your recorded messages while contacting customer service the message is played over and over asking customers to report any problems. Your business model and equipment maintenance are absolutely pathetic.

pick up place had truck but trailer had burnt out tail light the place would not repair after waiting 30 extra min with out telling me that I have to fix or take to the main store to repair the tail light

When I went to pick up the trailer, the employee could not get the electronic system to work properly. Prior to realizing he pulled up an old reservation, he told me he was unable to rent the trailer to me despite it being on the lot. The owner agreed with the employee. I requested he call uhaul which he did, but stated they were no help. It was not until i called uhaul that the problem was resolved. I was dumbfounded that they were so nonchalant about my inability to pick up a trailer that was scheduled for me to move my daughter to another city. I had even called them the day before to confirm the reservation and was told it was confirmed.

Had a hard time getting a signal on my phone to do a return night drop. I have sprint. Not sure why I had trouble. My wife has same carrier and I had less trouble on hers. Maybe a free wifi and password on the key chain would help.

The truck we received had cigarette ashes in it and apparently some spilled liquid when it was picked up. The place we returned it charged me $25.00 for it. I am curious about it! I want my money refunded!!
