Improve the rental process. There are too many steps in the rental process/app and once I arrived at the vehicle it took a lot longer than I thought it would to be “approved” to get the keys. Why not pre-approve so when I show up at the vehicle I can just get the keys and go? Also, Why do I have to take so many photos? I was expecting the app-based rental process to be easier than going to the counter but it was not.

The representatives that assisted me were very professional and did their jobs well. My problem was with the equipment and billing. I believe that the stated 7/8 of a tank in the vehicle was inaccurate. I drove just under 15 miles and put 3 gallons of gas in the truck, a receipt for the gas was provided to the representatives. When I look at the bill there appears to be a charge for 1.9 gallons to refill the vehicle. With that distance traveled and the gas I out in there is no way the initial reading could have been accurate. Is it my responsibility to confirm the gas level from inside the physical location before even seeing the truck? Should the representative have confirmed the gas level with me after visual inspection of the vehicle? I am requesting that you refund this gas surcharge before you complete this transaction.

The customer service when picking up and dropping off was unbeatable, hands down this employee should get a raise, she stayed late to help me, I moved myself in two days so naturally I was so tired and sore and moving so slow so returning the vehicle 48 hrs later, I had to make two trips so I did twice the mileage and needed to switch cards for the total. She did this with a smile and helped me right away at closing time on top of her other paper work. The vehicle and equipment were clean, we had difficulty getting the combo lock to take at first when picking it up but she stayed and figured out the correct combo as her coworker wrote down the wrong one. She did never lost her composure and provided excellent service both times.

The truck smelled overwhelmingly of stale smoke, it was disgusting- I didn’t think people were allowed to smoke in your vehicles? I was very disappointed.

We needed to pick up a truck at 9 and they open at 9, but really the person working was sitting in her car until exactly 9, by the time she got in, turned everything on and got us our truck it was 9:20

The staff was very friendly & helpful! There was a new employee that just started & the other lady (Miss Suzette, I think was her name) walked her through everything & was very patient! She apologized & I told her no worries & that she was doing a great job! We talked, laughed & I enjoyed my visit! I would definitely go back there or recommend friends & family, too!

This location was great, and the person that helped us was great. However, we were only helped at this location because at the time of our reservation, there was no one present at our original pickup location. The Hubert street location was closed and locked during operating hours/the time of our reservation. There was a sign on the door stating they would return at noon. This was the same day as the Raleigh Christmas parade. My guess is they left to watch it. If not for the woman working at the tryon location, we would have been unable to obtain our reserved truck. It was a nightmare. So, while we were saved by a fantastic employee, I will go incredibly far out of my way to ensure I never do business with Uhaul in any capacity henceforth. Just thought someone should know.

The truck we got is very old, we couldn't lock the back door when we returned the truck. Lady at reception was nice. Next time looking forward to a newer truck.

Need parking a few parking spaces, or make sure it is clear that there are none when signing up online. I do not know how one person would be able to use a uhaul if they can't leave their car as well.

My experience was fine. I did have an issue, that I'm not sure if you're aware of or not but in North Carolina do you have to have a sticker to bring items to the dump. They would not let me dump my trash. All you have to do is tell your customers to go on the website and get a sticker. Because of that I had to pay more money in mileage, due to the fact I had to drive all over to find someone that would take my trash.

The guy showed up almost 30 minutes late from when I was supposed to pick the truck up. They charged me 40 extra dollars than what was originally quoted when I drove only 14 extra miles than predicted. Completely overpriced and unprofessional. Truck worked great though.

Uhaul truck sputtered the whole trip. Air conditioning fan was in and out the whole time. The truck smelled horrible. My mileage fee was supposed to drop after 100 miles but I see I was gouged for .99 per mile. Never again!

The location does not have enough parking space. In most of he spots there are uhaul and rest the employees are parking. There should be customer parking available.

Thanks to Ajay and Carrie, things went smoothly for my move. Ajay got the process started for me. Carrie is absolutely amazing and helped make a very difficult move very tolerable. Very deceptive advertising. Very poor communication regarding charges. I was never told there would be extra charges such as "cleaning" I will not use uhaul in the future.

This van was full of gas . I drove 31.00 miles and had to put 4.7 gallons of gas in the truck. Gas gauge is not right, as it avg 15.5 mpg

Helpful and pleasant staff. It is unfortunate that Uhaul has become sneaky about the rates by not making it clear what the time frame is for your $19.95. I will look at other options next time, as I was charged again for simply not knowing that I can reserve the equipment longer in the first place. I could have rented a van from Enterprise for the price I paid without feeling rushed.

I was not given a drop-off location at the time i picked up the truck in Charlotte, but was given an 800 number to call when in Raleigh. When noticing at the location to store my things that they also do U-Haul, I asked if I could leave the truck at this location. The girl said OK, although after multiple times of asking if she should call anyone, she said it would not be necessary. She did not give a specific area (that would accommodate the big truck). She had closed the shop by the time I got the truck filled with gas.Before leaving, she mentioned that I should drop the key in the key box, however forgot to tell us to lock up the dollies in the cab before locking the truck and dropping the key in the drop box.
