I arrived in Fort Myers, Florida after it taking me 29 hours driving straight through from Missouri instead of 18 hours because of the speed limit on the cargo trailer that I wasn't informed about. Only to NOT be able to access the building to store my belongings when I arrived. I called the customer service number who assisted me in another reservation that I'm assuming was to collect a commission? However, I don't know exactly why I had to complete another reservation when I booked in advance, but she did say that it had to be done to be able to have 24 hour access the building. I completed it with her and then was still not able to access the building. This caused me to have to find another storage unit in middle of the night, in a brand new city and state that I'm unfamiliar with, then take my belongings to that facility 30 minutes away, and have to turn around and come back to the Uhaul facility to drop off my cargo trailer. It added was stressful, inconvenience, unnecessary extra steps, and extra work and distance to my already long stressful trip. I will not rent a storage unit from Uhaul moving forward when making my next three trips relocating my life from Missouri to Florida. It was the worst kind of experience to add to the already stressful, uncertain, and unnerving situation I was in being away from home for the first time alone. Please do better for your customers in the future! I don't want anyone else to go through or feel what I felt after taking such a big leap uprooting their whole life and moving to a place they do not know anyone and have no one to assist them.

Jane M | Overall ExperienceThe reservation for storage unit was easy to book and was very accurate. When I arrived everyone was ready to help and they took care of my reservation very quickly. I did not realized I booked a unit with smaller door so after I saw it and came back Juan helped me again and replaced it without a problem. He was very patient and friendly. He did not show signs of confusion or any hesitation. He was very professional and helped me and my husband super efficiently. I did not know thus UHaul also had indoor storage or I would have used it since Hurricane Ian. Their prices do not increase unlike Cubesmart. The facility was high tech. You don’t need to press some stupid combinations. Uhaul gives you a card you can swipe and Juan wrote the unit number so we don’t forget our unit. There was a bathroom inside the climate controlled and it was super clean with toilet seats! That place looked super fancy and clean compared to Cubesmart. Will always use UHaul storage when I need it from now on. Thank you for the wonderful services you provide!

I never have a problem. Everything’s always cleaned. The restrooms are clean the warehouse where you keep all the storage containers are very clean and very well lit up when a person goes through.
