The check in/move in experience was appalling and the worst Ive ever seen ; I had reserved a storage unit and upon arrival was told that reservations are not final and that UHaul doesnt decide the rules, the manager of the location does!! The price had gone up, I was told to leave if I was not happy. The person checking me in had no idea what they were doing, he would not respond to my questions, told me no units were available (turns out, there were plenty ) and left half way through registration, never came back, no explanation; someone else had to start over. I was also surprised that the website did not indicate clearly that I was obligated to have an insurance, which increases the monthly price. I was then given a map to reach the unit but no explanation on how to get to the entry of the storage facility, which was far and hard to reach; once in the facility, the drawing given by the front desk person was wrong and given the amount of storage units, i was lost and struggled to find the unit, and the place is completely empty so no help available. I was told the lock would be inside the unit; there was no lock so I had to leave and go back. The staff was incredibly rude, not helpfyl, takes calls and gets distracted mid registration, it took me 2 hours!!!!!!!! to get registered with the interferences. This was by far my worst customer service experience and I will get my belongings out of this storage facility asap. Lastly, the facility isn not well maintained; the elevator barely works and kept stopping or the door wouldnt close

How U-Haul Reviews WorkMy unit was on the third floor. For a very long period of time, the only elevator that went to floor 3 was out of service so I was unable to move my large heavy items out sooner. Not the worst thing in the world but terribly inconvenient. There wasn’t any good or consistent communication about the repair or how long it would take. I believe the elevator was done for over 2 months and I had to physically show up to confirm if it was operational. The staff is very friendly and helpful in person though.
LAUREN M | Overall ExperienceI have rented at UHaul because it was convenient. I have been there for nearly 17 years because it was convenient. After the staff failed to notify me that there was a flood in my unit that destroyed most of my possessions which I could have saved had I known they were wet, I tried to find another storage facility, but realized I was stuck with this one because it was convenient. Not cheap, but the cost of driving elsewhere in time and effort made this expensive storage convenient. Aside from the flood and destruction of most of what I had stored that one time, the facility has always been clean. The facility is NOT well-,maintained because most of the time for the past 5 years or more, the automatic elevator has been out of service when I needed it. This past time it was more than a year out of service. Every 3 years, I have had to update my credit card. Every three years, I had done that, and yet every three years, after updating my credit card info, UHaul has billed me for a penalty because UHaul failed to use the information that I supplied. Every three years, I have had to call again to have the penalty I did not deserve removed from my bill. I am assuming this UHaul location is too valuable to avoid higher use development, and so I would not recommend use of this facility since it will be torn down for development fairly soon.

Robert T | Overall ExperienceThe elevators are broken a lot so it’s very inaccessible if you are disabled, especially if you have a 3rd floor locker. When I moved in and out the elevators weren’t working which was quite frustrating. The maps are and guides around the floors are a bit hard to follow so the place can feel like a maze. To make matters worse, I had an abysmal experience with a staff member who was rude, overstepped in our conversations, and didn’t seem to know whether or not utilities were working. All in all my experience was very disappointing

Red half of my last monthly payment reimbursed back to me I paid $214.00 .00 cash with late fee and I had an injury being discharged in pain I tried to rest with my injury and I explained to management she still went against me no quality air circulation I was exhausted I wanted to file a civil action case against management. at 1501 South capitol st SW people has access to 24 hour storage they came in all hours and they stay and sleep through their visit and she allow them to do that. I tried to ask for Mr Craig regional bc Iwner and he gas not reached out to me yet I have already complained about her through VRovin and other regional staff but no one helped they let her evict me I could have had a heat stroke I was in that heated room for almost 4 months Spanish cleaning lady told me to go to the air room to get air and the manager wanted me to stay in the hot room like I was not allowed in the cold room at all I was not treated like a customer their and I paid a lot of money out I had to elevate my leg I had burn marks and the storage room assigned to me was burning my left leg I laid down to elevate and less pain they took pictures and falsely accused me of titillating the officers left that was on the scene stated it was a civil matter I gave police cards that they constantly called on me tried to get them to lock me up gave police a bar notice for 5 years valid please give me my payment back for putting Mrs through this bad thing during my stay 8 police officers came out 2:00 pm on August 11,2026? and 4:00 pm on August 11,2926 8 officers total and I did not disrespect not 1 staff member to have that bad thing happen to me please have the owner Mr Craig to please reach out to me on [redacted]
