When you turned on the AC, a horrible burning smell came through the vents. Also, the truck smelled heavily of gas. Lastly, when you tried to go above 50 mph, the whole truck shook.

Very nice and helpful person checked me in. Truck was not particularly clean, and the tow-haul did not seem to be working correctly (truck stalled while in motion twice with tow-haul on)--reported this to receiving U-Haul location).

I ordered a mattress cover online and the owner said that he didn't get reembursed for any of the supplies he pays for from U-Haul. I would have been happy to pay for it again, but he gave me one for free which I was very appreciative of. If the website states that I'm able to purchase items at the location where I pick up the truck then there shouldn't be the hassle of paying twice or the owner losing money.

I have contacted U-Haul customer service several times in regards to the issues that I encountered with this location and the truck itself. I was supposed to receive a call from the Field Mgr and I have not as of yet.

The men helping my husband and I were short and rude. They acted as if we were bothering them. I had requested picking up our trailer at a different location because of timing difficulties with this one and had no choice but to use this location. Because of that we were very close to closing time and they were treated us as if we were a nuisance, but we paid for their time and service as well as use of the trailer. I would never use this location again and would actively recommend my family in the area AGAINST using them.

We came to pick up our truck and had ordered 5 queen mattress bags online - we shared that queen was the only size available online and we actually would like some other sizes - the agent said he would give us what we needed but would not give us any money back from the smaller sizes. When he printed our invoice we saw we had been charged for several boxes $116 worth - we told him we didn't order nor need them - he said we would have to call corporate and gave me their number. I called in the parking lot and they wanted to talk to the agent - she asked him to refund our money and he refused - and handed the phone back without finishing the conservation...she told me to hold while she called regional and found someone to give me my money back...there was a real lack of willingness to get any help and we probably would not rent here again. The man that checked us in and the guy on the vacuum side was fine.

One of the trucks we rented had low tire pressure, which we had to fill often and the windshield wipers were old and didn't work. I had to pull over several times to clean them off. Additionally there were miscommunications about our rental, when returning the trucks the staff were incredibly rude to us. They yelled, talked down to us and were horrible to work with. We rent often and will never rent from this location again.

I originally reserved the trailer to pick up near my old home on Friday March 31. I stopped by the location the day before my pick up to let them know I was in town, where I was told that they don't have the trailer and that I would have to drive across town the next day to pick it up. A distance of 32 miles away, compared to only 3 miles away, from my old residence. I called the new location and they told me the trailer was there. I asked to redo my pick up date to Saturday April 1st, due to the fact that the Denver metro area was under a 'Winter Storm Warning' were we were expected to get anywhere from 6-12 inches of snow. The rep. who I spoke with was kind and helpful and re-reserved the trailer for me. As we spoke, we agreed on that I may not pick the trailer up on Saturday, due to the incoming storm. I told the rep. that "Let's see what the storm does. If when I wake up Sat. morning, and there's a foot of snow outside, I'll call and reschedule. If there isn't, I'll be there around noon-ish to pick it up." He said, "That sounds like a good plan." Saturday morning comes and seeing that it was April 1st (aka "April Fools") Mother Nature pulled an April Fools joke on us. There wasn't a single flake of snow anywhere to be seen in the Denver metro area. I headed over to my new pick up location, arriving around 12.30, only to find out that the trailer was gone. That U-HAUL came and got the trailer since I didn't pick it up at 10am, when on my contract it said that the trailer was available for pick up anytime after 10am. I had the reps at the 1st location find me a trailer, which they did, another location 2 miles up the road. I went to this 2nd location and started to pick up the trailer, when I was informed that this particular trailer was actually reserved for someone else to be picked up sometime after 4pm later that day. I was told that seeing "I was there first, I get the trailer" is bad customer service on U-HAUL's part, as I was told by the reps at the 2nd location that that's how U-HAUL wants it done. The fact that I reserved a trailer close to my old residence, only to have to drive 30 miles (one way) to pick up a trailer, and also being lied to about the fact that U-HAUL offers a military discount to active duty and veterans, only to find out after calling the 1-800 number, that "U-HAUL doesn't offer discounts." I've used U-HAUL many times before in the past, for my moving needs, but after this experience and being lied to, I will NOT be using U-HAUL ever again for my moving needs. I am disappointed in this moving experience and feel that U-HAUL's customer service has started going down the drain. Such a shame actually that they have resorted to this type of action.
