Booked my reservation for 98th and Michigan rd ad was sent to Rangeline rd. Did not appreciate this not a good way to start moving and the people there were of no help to me. Tough luck I guess.

The older women at the front desk who worked 7/10 (when I placed the order) and again on 7/13 (when I picked up the Uhaull) was rude, snobby, and seemed annoyed that I had interrupted her Netflix and Words w/ Friends experience each time. Although an otherwise uneventful experience, I will definitely be taking my business to other locations and not recommend this site to anyone. The only instruction we received in backing up the Uhual was "don't hit my car" and then she seemed even more annoyed that she had to leave the comfort of her office and actually help us maneuver out of their extremely small parking lot. As I was backing up the truck the only instruction that she really said to us was that she didn't understand how people didn't know how to back-up Uhauls (as if the average person does it on a daily basis) and then informed us that her car had been hit twice by Uhaul drivers :like me" backing up in that parking lot. Well, sorry that your car has been hit twice by other drivers, but perhaps you should (1) actually move your car so that doesn't happen, especially considering the parking lot is totally not appropriate for the size for a Uhaul, and (2) actually put down your tablet and initially help the customer so as to ensure that your car (or anybody else's) isn't hit. If she doesn't want to work in customer service, perhaps she shouldn't. I don't think it is really a good fit for her.

The lady at the counter was beyond rude and not helpful when I asked questions and when she asked questions she was disrespectful. Also didn’t alert me how to check the vehicle back in or that the office was closed when I returned the truck. She wouldn’t look at the prior damage or mileage with me. I’ll be renting again and most likely from Penske down the road. Also a rep on the phone was rude when I was confirming my order placed over the phone. Overall BAD experience.

My experience was okay. I had three things to share and think this can be solved easily. 1- I requested 6 furnature pads, but arrived to the moving location I didn’t find them inside of the truck which put my furniture in some risks. 2- I was charged $5 for the pads. I called twice to remove the charge and was told I’ll receive a statement email without the $5, but still didn’t get it. 3- the movers I hired through U-Haul website and paid for the service online asked to pay $50 extra for fuel charges. The guy charged me another $50 to bring two people to do the job for me. He came 15 min late and changed me more than I paid online. That was tricky and I’m not happy about it.

I was charged for the insurance package even though when i made the reservation online I did not select an insurance package. The lady working the counter was nice, but obviously charged me for something I did not want.

Uhaul has two locations that are a few blocks away from each other on the same street. Neither location have prompt/courteous/or customer oriented staff. I'm not sure what it is about the various Uhaul branches, but none are fast, nor have well informed staff. I know there are plenty of good people within Uhaul overall, but the training for stores/franchisees is either just terrible and/or not observed independently to help with continual training/guidance. I can give specifics, but I would ideally like receive a personal note about the experience to elaborate. I've used Uhaul on a regular basis for 20 years, with this past year being the busiest with 20+ rentals. I prefer to use the Carmel , IN location, but most have used the Indianapolis (Castleton) location the most.

This location does not have boxes for sale or any type of moving items (tape, bubble wrap, etc.) that you typically expect at a uhaul center.. Much more friendly, helpful people at some of the other uhaul centers around town. Equipment was clean and well maintained. Location is easy to access.

There was nothing I could sign to show there was no damage to the vehicle when I picked it up. I drop off the vehicle and there is still nothing I can sign to say there is no damage. The way your system is set up after I drop off the van you could charge me for damage that supposedly occurred while I had it. Luckily I was not charged (because there was no damage) but someone could claim that and I would have no recourse. It makes me not want to rent from you again.

When sending the reservation confirms you email please include the pick-up location (addressed). I thought I knew the pickup location but I was in error. I had to call the 800 number and was delayed about 20 minutes from my scheduled pickup. My mistake for sure but if I’d had the street address I could have just looked it up on my map app.
