We reserved a 20’truck and auto transport a month ahead of our scheduled move. Two days before pick up, we were informed that neither item was available at our location. After numerous calls to multiple locations, we found a tuck and trailer, but at separate locations. Trailer was only up in Denver, an hours drive away each way. When I picked up the truck, a mile after leaving the U Haul location, the engine light came on. I called and was told to either turn around and bring it back, then wait for the repair vehicle to show up, or go home and start packing. We went home and waited. We didn’t start packing, because if it couldn’t be fixed, we would have to unpack the truck, and then attempt to find another one in Colorado, as the customer service rep said there was nothing that could be done by her. So not only did I loose 2 hrs going the opposite direction for a trailer, but we lost 1/2 a day awaiting on the truck to get repaired. Finally after getting all packed up and ready to start a 900 mile journey, we find that the a/c in the truck would not work on a consistant basis. Then when I went to turn in the trailer, that UHaul scheduled me to drop off at, not only was no one there, even though the sign was on, and it was 2 PM during the posted business hours, but when I called the listed number, a lady answered the phone by saying yea. I told her I was dropping off, and was told we don’t take no trailers, if you leave it, I gotta charge you more. No mention of another location or any help at all. Nothing was ever offered by U Haul in any way from start to finish in way of making this move something that is stressful enough on any family for us. I then had to call to get accepted at another location that was not convenient for us, but at least when I got there, we were treated as a customer, and not just another account. Needless to say, I will never suggest U Haul for anything to any one, especially to my Veteran community .

DALE ZI was given multiple quotes, all of which were way to expensive but thats Colorado over priced and why I left. Store was small and unkept.
TAMI GThe day before my trip I get an email saying my location for pickup is changed and it was 45 minutes away and I couldn’t pick it up until 2 hours after I originally scheduled to pick it up. Then after telling me a final price on the phone including change, they say it’s actually 400 dollars more expensive because of “taxes” are taxes 15% now??Then they tell me I have to make sure I return it on the same amount of gas I got it but 45 minutes of driving was just me returning home from that far away pick up location. Then I ask the customer service guy to help me put my car on the dolley because I had never done it and he tells me they technically aren’t supposed to at that location when I specifically said on the phone I needed a location where they could help me hook it up. The uhaul shook like it was about to come apart like it was made out of legos the entire trip, extremely uncomfortable and stressful on top of it getting 9 miles to the gallon on a cross country trip. Terrible experience, I will make sure to tell anyone I know to stay far away from uhaul and use any other option available
