I ordered moving blankets and wasn't told they weren't available until I went to pick up the uhaul. This is unacceptable. If I was informed before hand, which should be very easy to do I could have picked something up. Instead I was without protection for the majority of my furniture.
Customer service representative at this location (Friday 1/8/21 at approx 5:30 pm) was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I've had good experiences in the past with U-Haul, but he made the company look horrible.
Plow the parking lot
This location has no equipment other than trucks. I was not told this by anyone until I got there to pick up the truck. The truck they gave me had LESS than the 1/4 of a tank they told me it had. When I turned on the truck the gas light was on. Had to rush to a gas station hoping the truck didn't run out of gas. Finally I was told, rather impolitely, that I need to park the truck in the back of the building when there is a literal sign telling me to park the truck where I did. Worst U-Haul experience I've ever had and it seemed like this location genuinely doesn't care about maintaining your equipment or reputation. Will be avoiding this location at all cost.
The vendor gave attitude instead of helpful assistance. First trailer provided had trash still in the back. Second trailer was great.
The customer service was short and rude. Not helpful in problem solving an error on Uhual-end. Chose this location, 700 W Erie, specially reserved 2 dollys and was told upon arrival that there were no dolly's at this location. The employee's response was not helpful and his solution was to cancel the truck order or move without the requested dolly. Will not recommend or return to this location and honestly may find other moving services in the future.
Staff weren't very professional or attentive to my needs. One guy wasn't even working, and the other guy seemed to be more interested in getting me out of the â€œofficeâ€ than actually making sure I had what I needed.
Charge $8 for parking when you pick up a truck??? Terrible, hidden charge.
Truck has a slipped transmission. Dirty inside- nearly no gas to start off with. Onboarding and delivery of truck was difficult- no instructions
The people at the location were not helpful at all and a bit rude when i entered in to pickup my truck. They gave no direction and didn't even show me to my truck they just gave me the keys and expected me to find it
Staff vey impolite. Even renting a month and a half before equipment rented (blanket, dolly) were not available
I called to order a small truck for $19.99, without my knowledge they booked me a 20 foot truck costing twice that at $40. I also had to pay the lot 8$ to park my car there when I picked up the truck which I was not informed about beforehand.
Not clear where to go. Stood outside waiting for someone for 20 minutes. Truck had wrappers all over, could tell it's wasn't cleaned or disinfected at all. Considering the current state of the pandemic that's terrifying.
Location was a bit sketchy. I also reserved a furniture dolly and during pick-up they said that location did not offer furniture dollys. This really should have been indicated to me ahead of time because my specific move required a furniture dolly. Price was also higher than expected. They say â€œ$19.99â€ per day, but once you add CDW, mileage and fees, ended up at $140 for a 9' truck, 100 mile round trip for 3 hours. Seek elsewhere.
I reserved a truck ~2 weeks in advance to include a TV box, mattress covers, furniture dolly, and furniture pads. The location had nothing available except the truck. They told me "too bad" about not having anything I pre ordered available. I spent 1.5hr extra buying these things at Home Depot to get my move done. TERRIBLE customer service and will never give them my business again and will make sure none of my friends/family give them their business either.

This was the worst Uhaul experience ever. Subsequent to walking and driving the property for several minutes looking for a representative, an individual popped up out of nowhere. Not sure who this individual was, I asked him several times for his name. He refused each time to give his name and would not say if he was a Uhaul reprentative. I was at the property at approximately 2:55 pm on October 28, 3020. Attempted to close out the contract online. Repeated errors with the location. My paper copy indicates a drop off location of 665 N. Halsted Street Chicago, Illinois 60654. The young man refused to assist in the close out process. Unprofessional as well as a total lack of customer service. I wasted approximately two hours attempting to close out the contract on October 28, 2020. At 4:51 pm on October 28, 2020 I called the site (312 235-1094) and spoke with Payman? He was not forthcoming with his name as well. Customer service was not privy to our conversation. He was not around when I attempted to close out the contract earlier in the afternoon, yet he stated that his guy was willing to help. If his guy was willing to help, I wouldn't wasted an afternoon. I have pictures of the interior, exterior, storage compartment and the actual mileage. The truck mileage was 54,732 and the interior condition was clean. I received an email from Payman Parsa indicating a charge of $25.00 for cleaning. The truck was clean (interior), I will dispute this charge. Erica, Uhaul Customer Service indicated the picture shows a stain on the passenger side window, this is fraud and retaliation for me responding to rude and unprofessional behavior. The next false claim on behalf of this dealer(?) is the mileage, the truck was delivered with the mileage of 54,732. Erica, Customer noted the mileage was 54,742. What did these guys do to this truck while driving 10 additional miles. The false cleaning bill indicated a drop off location of 700 West Erie Street Chicago, Illinois
I have ordered 2 dozens of moving blankets but the person responsible from the location told me that I was 30 min late and he gave the moving blankets to someone else. Which put me in a though spot to go find moving blankets from somewhere else. And eventually, the same location found some blankets again and I had to go back to the same location, loosing 1 hour.
No one answers or returns my call. Uhaul completely screwed up my reservation. Only had 1 of 2 boxes, never notified us or the movers, had no explanation or way of fixing it, our move was delayed by 2 days and we were out an obscene amount of money from Uhaul's mistake. Absolutely deplorable, absolutely unacceptable, can't even get an actual person to speak with regarding this matter
Attendant worker was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Almost in disbelief that you employ this man. Also didn't have any of the equipment I reserved. By far the worst customer service experience I've had all year.... Please review the employee working there, he was treating everyone like this.

The trailer I rented, two of the four tires had no thread. I didn't find this out until I returned it. We're thankful that nothing went wrong while towing.
All went as expected.
