We picked up our truck and car tow and drove it home which was just a few miles down the road. As we were backing it in, the truck made a REALLY loud noise that didn't sound right. We drove it around the block to test it further, and the noise could be heard from our house from 2 blocks down. I called this location to notify them that there seemed to be something wrong with the truck that they had just given us, and we wanted to get another because we were driving from SC to Idaho. The guy that I spoke with said there no others available and that I needed to call their scheduling number. I called this number, and she promptly told me that there was nothing that she could do and that I needed to call road side assistance. I explained that we had JUST picked this truck up, driven it 5 minutes down the road, and we were in a schedule to load this truck. She showed no concern for this dilemma. She told me that there were procedures in place, and she had to follow them. Do the procedures not include inspecting trucks before they are drive. off-site? I would expect that there will be times that call for exception when you have been given a truck that does not work properly. Anyway, I called road side assistance. He told me it could take up to 30 to get an estimate of when the technician would arrive and anywhere up to 2 hours for them to get there. The estimate given was 60 minutes or less. The guy from road side assistance called me back more than 60 minutes later to confirm that the technician had arrived and he had not. The technician had indicated to them that he was at my house when we was actually 20 minutes late. I called road side assistance again because the previous man said he would call later since he was sure that the technician would be pulling up any minute. The new gentlemen that I spoke with was the first to show any concern for the situation. The technician showed up and was very unprofessional. He went from laughing and saying there was no way that the truck would make it to Idaho to pulling out the bumper that was rubbing and deciding we were good to go. I tried to explain to him multiple times that we needed to fix this situation as quickly as possible, and he continued to aimlessly hang around our front yard. So, the helpful gentlemen from road side had called me back. I explained to him that the technician did not know the proper procedure for requesting that we get another truck and this was clear. We had been told by everyone thus far that no trucks of this size were available in the city. I ended up talking to customer service and spoke with a very helpful lady. Ultimately, we DID find another truck that was almost brand new from the Orchard Drive location. They were SO nice and SO accommodating. Thankfully, we ended up dealing with very helpful people. I called the Two Notch location to let the manager know what happened. I was told that I would get a call back and did not. The basic expectation of renting a Uhaul truck is t

The rep was very disrespectfull to me. The truck was supposed to be returned at 5. They closed at 7 rep said if we missed the 5:00 return time we would be charged for a extra day. So we kept the truck for that extra day. A rep call saying he had reservation and needed the truck I informed him we would have the truck back that morning. He told me if he missed that reservation some one will pay the penalty and just kept fussing at me. The more I tried to talk to explain he continue to talk over me. I am 9 mths pregnant and never been that upset in my life. I will never get a uhaul from this company again.

The truck I received was dirty and had cigarette ashes in the trays where one would normally place coin change or keys or lose items. Not only did it reek of cigarette smoke, there were spill stains on the seats and floor, and this truck for only having 14,600 miles on it needs new shocks---somebody has beat this truck pretty bad. My daughter and I cleaned the entire inside of the truck using AJAX window cleaner and Spic & Span spray cleaner for all of the dashboard and door panels/steering wheel and we wiped down the upholstery. We also inquired about dropping the truck off at a more convenient location U-Haul center and they would not allow us to do that even though we were instructed at the original pick-up place that there would be a transfer fee. The fee was then reported to be $2000.00 dollars or that we could also be charged the total price of the truck--$25,000.00. The drop off place was only 15 miles from the original pick-up location. Extremely disappointed in this affair--I have used U-Haul multiple times before and did not have any issues. Roy E. Schneider- 419-206-2030

I was over charged for my services. I had to call customer service to get it all straightened out. I will no longer be going back to this location and I will recommend no one else does either.

There was so confusion About boxe and equipment that were reserved online with the truck. Improving the consistency and communication would help.

The only reason I rated a 4 star was because when I ordered over the phone I told the customer service agent the address I wanted to pick up from and she just put the name of the road so I ended up going to three uhaul centers before I got to the rite location. Service was great and move was a success

I was charge $7.61ehen I returned and didn't use blankets. When I was told it would be credited back to my Amex. But over all fast easy. Trucks need a real cleaning on the inside even though they are old. Thanks

Although the customer service was good, the vehicle had in excess of 113,000 miles and was difficult to drive. The transmission appears to be failing. The brakes nor steering column did not work well. I was charged for the use of Utility Dolly that clearly was never used as the ties to the doly were cleary not broken. This is fraudulent business practice. I expect the funds to be returned to my card.

When the employee came out he did not give the appropriate greeting of the day. The mats were stacked and folded neatly up top. He did open the back to inspect, but later informed me that he only opened it to ensure that no bodies were in the back. As uniformed service member, I did not appreciate that comment and that was not professional.

The rates for a one way trip is a bit ridiculous. I think it's a joke that you're forced to rent the truck for longer than a day..because I'm not stupid, I'm paying for both days. I was originally quoted over 200$ (Within state lines) and when I called back to tell them it was too expensive compared to a different service I found, they lowered their price more than 60$; Which was great and all, but thanks for letting me know that you guys rip people off daily. For the price I paid I might as well threw in a hundred extra dollars and had movers move the s*** for me. Never again.

I walked in to another store the week before to book my truck. The day before they called and sent me to another location starting the truck had an exhaust leak. This happens often with uhaul. I did not like the fact that the new store was further away costing me miles that I have to pay for. The store itself was very friendly and helpful and should be praised for their professionalism. I just don't understand when I drive by the original booking location and there are 30 trucks sitting out front daily how I had to be sent to location that added about 25 miles to my rental expense.
