My experience was absolutely the worst experience I've had so far using U-Haul services.. I've used U-Haul 5 times in the past ad every time I was pleased with the services. This particular time on Saturday May 30th I was emailed at 7 am telling me that my appointment I had set up over a month ago to pick up a 20' truck had changed. Saying I couldn't pick up until 3 pm and I had to go to a different location In Janesville. After rescheduling so that I could get the truck I needed at 11am I arrived at the U-Haul pickup location at 1040am. A very helpful and nice representative at the desk notified me that the previous customer renting out the truck I was there to pick up had not returned the truck yet! He notified me there was a 20' truck located in fort Atkinson which is 45 minutes out of the way I was heading. Due to time constraint It was my only option. I tried paying in person to pick up the keys but the systems were down, that's fine, things like that happen. But then I try communicating to the owner of the taco place to see what I can do. He treats me like Im annoying him and that he can't help me pick up my truck just because the servers for U-Haul we're down. I finally get in touch with a very amazing rep named Brian who is also located in fort Atkinson but he's at an actual U-Haul truck location. He managed to get my payment through and I was able to pick up the 20' truck by 230pm. Due to almost 4 hours of my time being thrown out I was expecting U-Haul would take that into consideration.. instead I was charged 145 dollars on my debit card on file. When I returned the truck at the pickup location at 1015pm late, due to driving another 45 minutes to drop it off in fort Atkinson, I was charged another 177 dollars... HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?? I filled up the gas tank right where it was when I picked it up, caused no damage, dealt with the awful tie rods in the two front wheels not to mention the brakes pads needed to be replaced about a month ago. Long story short Brian at the fort Atkinson location made my move possible despite all the adversity. I would really like to be contacted so that I can feel good about using U-Haul and the company feels they've been properly reimbursed. Thank you! Hope to hear from you soon.Yousef P.

The gal behind the counter seemed to have no idea what she was doing. I was charged a much higher price, and it seems that I was charged for insurance that I did not agree to (the rep never asked if I wanted it). When I returned that trailer, the other rep was rather unfriendly and unhelpful.Allen K.

The customer service was horrible. I waited an extensive amount of time and was told "one minute" multiple times while other people walked into the building and up to the desk and were assisted at our location. I was told only a 24' truck was available when there were two smaller trucks present after sharing that I needed only a 10' truck for a couple of hours. The demeanor I was treated with almost led me to walk out of the store. Nothing about the process or steps I had to take were explained to me (from start to finish). I was charged an extra 20$ for gas that I was not informed of after paying 1$ per mile - I was quoted $40 under what I actually paid. The interior of our 24' truck was clean, but the engine sounded as though it was about to explode out of the top of the hood, causing a loud humming in the cab of the vehicle. Nobody went over the vehicle's condition with me before or after. References were not checked despite the staff adamantly demanding that I have two references. Upon returning the vehicle, we were laughed at by the cashier and customers speaking another language when walking inside the building. A staff person took the keys from me and said I should be expecting an e-mail the following day - once again, not going over any check in information with me. I will never rent a vehicle through this location or with U-Haul again because of this experience.ashley N.

When I reserved the uhaul, I said I want a small truck. They wanted to give me a huge truck. I said forget it. I'm not sure why the small truck is an issue. 2 small trucks just sat there. My credit card better be reimbursed. I left with no truck.rimmer D.
