Run down car lot, I was called the day before to change my pickup location to this one which was further away. When I arrived the girl at the counter barely spoke or looked at me. She never even got up to show me which trailer was mine.

I requested a receipt for dropping off the truck, the man refused to give me one. I wasnt leaving a 100k truck in perfect cond w/out proof of return. The man was very rude would not give me the key back to return to another location. I had to call the police, he told me he didnt care what the fuck I did!!!, just before police arrived he checked in the truck so I got a receipt from uhaul. Thats all he had to do from the beginning. This man was very disturbing to me and caused me a great deal of stress. I would revoke uhual rentals/returns from this business the way I was treated is inexcusable caused me great anxiety and my heart was racing, fortunately I had a friend with me, because if she was not there, im not sure what would have hapoen. Now this man has my home address which is within a mile away also upsetting!!!


When I arrived, I was told to go back out and park the truck and then bring the keys in and they would check it in in a half hour or so.


The unit that I rented was a 20 footer. It smelled like armpits, stunk! The steering was loose and caused the truck to wander while driving. When I picked it up I was hoping that I had enough gas in it to get to a gas station. The truck stunk badly and I would appreciate a full or partial refund. Unit should be retired or the entire front steering system rebuilt. Not enjoyable driving this truck!

The uhaul truck at the first location would not start. So, after about an hour or so of the first location trying to start this truck, we were relocated to this second location, which put us behind schedule.

Making all vehicles electronic windows and doors. I was driving alone and had to manually lock and open windows by pulling over on 1-95. First world problems I know but still annoying. Installing a modern radio with Bluetooth or aux would of helped Alot too. I had to drive from South Carolina to NY with just the sound of traffic or the deafening sound of the engine with the windows closed because I had no way of listening to the radio which wasn't very strong and my phone volume couldn't block out the sound of the truck. These are all first world problems there's ultimately was nothing wrong with the truck but just an idea if Uhaul felt like spending hundreds of millions on modernizing their vehicle fleet.

UHAUL sent me a text to drop off the vehicle in a location that was abandoned. After Calling JD Motors I was given the wrong directions as to where to leave the truck and drove many miles out of the way, ultimately I was charged for extra miles. NOT HAPPY


They were rude! It was raining hard and they didn't tell me which truck was mine and I never did give out where it was marked. I ended up having to see which truck my key fit into the ignition after they came out and told me the wrong truck! Then they told me I needed to park my car in the back or it would be towed within 30 minutes!

I was completely overcharged - my agreement was for $29 truck plus mileage and tax....somehow I ended up getting charged $127. I put $25 of gas in the truck to cover the 19 miles I went, but was STILL charged for gas ($60). Was also charged extra 'safe move coverage' fee that I had opted out of.... The whole transaction was a complete farce, would never do business with them again after this.

No one checked the mileage or gas when I picked up or returned the truck. They gave me the keys and pointed to the truck, upon return they simply took the keys and said thank you. Then I received a receipt with 61.00 charge for mileage on a local rental. I ended up paying double what I expected. The truck drove rough and pulled to the right making it difficult to drive.

They had on my invoice that I used it 64 miles and that was incorrect. I went 11 miles to storage building and 13 miles on the return. They did not even check when I returned it but charged me an extra $38.00 on my invoice. Will never recommend Uhaul to my guests/friends that stay at the hotel I manage. Shame on Uhaul for overcharging. I probably have rented from you at least 6-8 times as my job moves me and this has never occurred. I was very pleased with you until this experience but not anymore.

I rented a truck at JD rentals on Saturday morning at 10:30am on 6/30/18 and drove the truck 27 miles and then returned the truck the same day hand delivered the key to the JD motors worker. The truck was returned around 6pm and the owner of the store will still present and told me to put the key on his deck and he would check in the truck. I originally signed up for the $14 safe move option. I was billed for 3 days of use and charged for the $42 insurance rate. This more than doubled my bill. When asking why I was charged so much I was told I have to call Uhaul. The person on the phone at JD Motors refused to tell me his name. I WAS CHEATED BY THIS LOCATION! ATTENTION!!!!! DO NOT GO TO JD MOTORS!!!!

Make sure you have a person trained properly who knows how to handle your business if you, the manager, are not available. Keep your contracted promises to customers in regards to pick up "location", "size of truck" and "time of pick up". People have schedules just as well as you do and their time is valuable, especially on moving day!

Took several weeks to get the rental contract closed after dropping the equipment off and subsequent call to UHaul customer service did not help in getting it closed out. Dropped equipment off on 1/27/18 and finally got notice contract was closed on 2/15/18
