The locations were fine. The phone service was awful. Our reservation was mixed up three times and we walked through the process with each person. We we so afraid we wouldn’t have a truck come pick up day due to all the confusion and mix ups. I don’t think the stress was worth going with UHaul again.

After reading reviews on some of the U-Haul locations in Madison, I was anxious regarding the possibility of a screwup on moving day. However, every thing went off as planned and I received the truck I ordered at the time I reserved it. The reservation system worked well with one caveat. I had chosen Park Street Storage for my location and was expecting to pick up the truck there. Fortunately I called to confirm and was informed that the truck would be at McFarland True Value. I then called True Value and confirmed as well. Dave at Park Street Storage was very helpful and courteous in confirming my reservation and making sure everything went as planned. And the location at McFarland True Value was excellent. The pick up and drop off was smooth and prompt. So would rate everything as a great experience, but take the responsibility to confirm, as well.

The True Value guys were beyond excellent in dealing with my U Haul rental. I needed a 26 foot truck and they had one. They were able to deliver awesome customer service and got the job done. U Haul corporate was a pain in the butt. They were basement that they didn't have any trucks, no trucks at all. They kept trying to push a pickup truck and trailer rental on me. I needed to move a whole 4 bedroom.house and furniture. I needed the 26 foot truck that true value had. The True Value guys went above and beyond to make sure I rented what I needed. Kudos to them for making it happen.

Loved the mobile phone check in after hours. Just keep in mind this process takes about 20 min or more so arrive early before your pick up time because even though the check in process took awhile I was already on the clock for my two hours and had to rush to get it back in time. But overall loved it.

I would have rated 0 stars if possible. I reserved a uhaul 4 weeks in advance to ensure we wouldnt run into any issues renting a uhaul. The night before we were supposed to pick it up, I recieved a text from uhaul stating that our pick up location was changed to somewhere 40 miles passed where we needed to go! I immediately got on the phone with uhaul, and after waiting on hold for 45 minutes reached a representative who suggested we pick it up from McFarland since we would be driving through to get to Janesville (our original pick up location.) I agreed to this because she also offered to give us a 100 extra miles and stated our price would not change. Well, we get to the McFarland location to find out that instead of getting the original truck we had reserved, they had us down for a smaller one. Once we got the keys, the woman charged us for the uhaul immediately. Total was $131. I was told by the uhaul rep that it would be $120 total. Instead of arguing I paid it and we went on our way. The uhaul we got was dirty and seemed as if it was in need of some mechanical work. The ride down was awful and any bump you hit made you feel like you were swerving. The rep also failed to inform me that a QUARTER tank of gas in a uhaul is equivalent to 10 gallons of gas. So instead of spending $30 on gas, we ended up having to spend nearly $70 because we got stuck driving double the distance in the uhaul. We dropped off the uhaul at the same location we picked up from after confirming with the McFarland location that i would not be charged additional for dropping it off there. My Fiancee and I had already had a very long day between dealing with the uhaul and moving, so once we dropped off the uhaul we decided to go grab some lunch. After we ate and went to pay MY CARD GOT DECLINED because McFarland DOUBLE charged me. I called them furious from the parking lot of the restauarant and spoke with Richard who was unbelievably rude. Never once did I hear they were sorry for making a mistake. Instead I was told he wasn't sure what happened and he wasnt the one who closed out the reservation. After they charged me for the 2nd time I was down to $8 in my account. I demanded he look into it and refund me right away. He claimed he did the reversal, I asked how long it would take and he stated it would be immediate. After having to embarass ourselves at the restaurant I told them we would be back as soon as the money hit my account. Well needless to say two hours later, still nothing. I called back and spoke to richard again who then stated he didn't know how long the reversal would take. I asked why he lied about ir being immediate if he didn't actually know and the only response I got was that he didn't mean to. I was absolutely furious and still never got my money back that day. It finally hit my account on Monday! Richard was very unprofessional and I'm disgusted with how poorly we were treated. I will never rent a uhaul again because of this. You all have

Park the trucks in a different location so customers don't have to back up near all your equipment. Otherwise, keep up the great work. Best uhaul experience I've ever had!

I went a total of 4.5 miles. Before I returned the truck I put gas in the tank but stopped filling the tank once I put in 3 gallons of gas. I thought to myself there should be no way a 10 or 12 foot truck gets less than 2 miles per gallon. I suspect the gas tank was not topped off prior to my rental

This location did great. You should make sure that your Atlas court location doesn’t double/triple book trucks, so that they have to change the time you can pick up your truck without talking to you, and then you have to get a smaller truck from a different location to make your move work the way you planned. Pretty annoying.

He showed me where the electrical cable was broken and said it would have been a 5 minute fix to replace the broken cable IF the lights had been tested initially. Too bad he was not the dealer doing the renting instead of receiving the return.

The service was great!!!!!! Helped me with everything hooking up the trailer and lights working properly, But the trailer had saw dust and dirt in it, that swept out when I returned it.

The app took too long and before it was final it stopped altogether. Once I was able to open it again 10 minutes later it said my pickup was complete but hadnt told me where the keys were.

I returned this truck with same gas level as I received but was charged $20? This is such a rip off that you go by needle and after the run around I had to get truck and had to waste 3 1/2 hours to just pick up truck and drive around to 3 places to pick up and now you try to rip me off by charging me for gas? Very disappointing and with my next move or anybody I know that needs to move will think twice about who we use. My 3rd work move in 2 years and I will make sure company I work for know how bad this was also!!!
