The van was clean and everything. Unfortunately it had a very very strong smell of urine. I had To change when i got Home before starting to move because my fiancé could smell it on me.i left the windows open the whole time while it was sitting and it was tolerable. I told The gentleman when i returned the van and he was apologetic. No issues with the staff at all, service was great. Van was warming up when i got There ready to go. The van was just very very foul smelling.

Nothing the company can do, it is the design of the trucks that are used here and by other companies as well. The steps are too narrow for persons with large feet. ther needs to needs to be a pull bar on the outside of the vehicle and an additional one on the inside for the driver to use, I have some physical disabilities and find it difficult to get in and out of the truck cab. would have been great if the seat could have been able to have moved back at least 2 to 3 inches so I would have had more leg room and then too able to move my feet out across the frame work on the floor. I have a foot drop on the left and have difficulty moving my foot at times when in tight spaces. But the vehicle design is not for driver comfort but for storage space to it's maximum. Rose Stoller.

I drove the truck 19 miles and was charged $8 for gas. Even if the truck only got 10 miles/gallon that's 2 gallons of gas. When I picked up the truck they said it has 15/16 fuel, but when I turned it in they said it had 7/8 fuel. I think I was ripped off.

The dealer was ok but my overall experience was not. Let me elaborate. First the price quoted on line to me was $169.00 this was made using a friends and family discount by my brother in law who works ata Uhaul owned store. He emailed me the confirmation a few days ahead of time showing the $169 cost. But when I go to the dealer Schwartz, they will not honor the price and charge me $209. They said we have to have VIP card or no discount even though we showed them the reservation we had copy of for $169. Ok so we say ok on $209 but no pleased and get trailer . Then problem #2...drive home about 18 miles. Open trailer and it wreaks of gasoline smell...bad. call dealer. They say bring back. I drive 18 miles (36 now round trip or waste of 3 gallons gas or $9.00 out of my pocket). Dealer agrees smells like gas give me another trailer. Ok make my trip now no issues. Unload trailer and drive to dealer in London KY..called Ormsby Hardware...get there Sat at 9am. Guess what! Ormsby is closed.. but uhaul website says they should be OPEN. I even call uhaul 800 traffic control and they say Ormsby should be open. Well I bang on door of Ormsby because lights are on. Some guy comes to door says they are closed. Says just leave trailer in lot and paperwork in drop box. I say I need his help to unhook trailer as I can’t lift it off hitch...too heavy for me. He says NO they are closed. I asked for just 60 seconds...1 minute of his time to come outside and help me lift off trailer...still says NO. I have to call uhaul traffic control now 2nd time for new drop off dealer location. Ok they send me to Schotts Marathon in London. Pretty close so good. Schotts is open and they help me with drop, off, which is good but I do have to say Schotts is one of the oldest, dirtiest and smoke filled gas stations I have ever been to in my life. The guys was nice and all but that dealer really would not be my choice for a partnership uhaul location...what a dive and like I went back in time or something. So that my review. I was not happy to have to pay $209 when I had a written quote for $169. I spent $9 in gas going back to get 2nd trailer. This is $49 difference I should get refund of. The Schwartz dealer was polite . The Ormsby Hardware dealer should be open the hours posted on the uhaul website and even thought the guy said they were closed, a nice customer service gesture would have been to take 1 min and help me unhook trailer so I didn’t have to hassle with going to the alternate drop off. The Schott dealer person was nice, but that business was filthy and I don’t know why uhaul doesn’t have higher standards for the facility cleanliness of their independent dealers. Chris

They were understaffed and needed more help. Took a long time doing paperwork, even after I filled out the online forms to expedite.

Nothing. This location was perfect. Had a reservation with uhaul at the River Road location. No answer and no one there even 30 minutes after our reservation. All the workers at Schwartz were incredibly helpful and friendly and got us set up!

We wanted a 2-day rental, not a 1-day rental, so we called the uHaul number and did Live Chat to try and change it. The person on the phone said to let the people at Schwartz know that we wanted to change it. Schwartz said to just keep it an extra day and get charged $40. We got a call on the morning of our second day and the person on the phone was very upset that we were keeping it an extra day. We felt terrible, but we were just doing what we were told.

First, they changed location last minute to 20 minutes away, which increased cost due to .69 per mile. Second, although they offered a $15 credit due to extra miles, they DID NOT apply it to the bill. Instead, they said it would be processed separately which means it won't hit my account for a while. So, my 19.95 truck became $42. Not happy.

We have spent hundreds of dollars at Schwartz's over the last several weeks on U-Haul supplies and enclosed trailers. The biggest negative we have with them is the lack of friendly customer service, and the grumpy attitudes. They never smile, they are short in their responses and are rarely helpful. I will now drive to Castleton for all future needs. The majority of these guys need a major attitude adjustment. It is sad, especially for a home town business. They need to find some joy in life and treat their customers like they are worth something.

When I got there, which was a bit after my agreed upon time, the trailer was buried behind a bunch of other trailers. The lot was extremely small and hard to navigate. They had me hook my truck up to the safety chains to drag the trailer out of its spot.

Absolutely nothing. Schwartz does a great job in everything they do and U-Haul is no exception. Great people to do business with.

The associate was rude. I rented a 15 foot truck & the website got changed it to a 17 foot. It took almost 2 hours to rent it on-line as I repeatedly tried to take off insurance since I was only using it for 15 miles. I clicked on the link that stated only a 15 foot truck was available. With all the other things I had to click on & read and agree to, I may have inadvertently ordered the 2 foot longer truck. I was so mentally exhausted by the time I checked it out. The gentleman was extremely rude & refused to work with me. My move cost me an extra $20. As it stands, this is the second time this place messed with me. 6 months ago I drove the truck 2 miles & gas was $9.87. I was re-imbursed $5. Should not have gone back.
