This was an unmanned location. No customer contact. You return by I-phone. Have to have on-line account. What about people who don't carry mobile phones or don't want online accounts?

One of the wooden cleats (bars) for tying down the load was missing inside of the trailer. This was an issue for us as we had four high-end bicycles inside this small trailer and keeping them from hitting each other was a problem without having this bar. An additional problem, was the fact that your website must have been overloaded and it was impossible this past Friday to use it: I kept getting an error message, and tried on and off for a few hours before I cold get it to work.



When I searched for a U-Haul location with the equipment I needed based on my location, this was listed as the 5th option. HOWEVER, it was the ONLY place open at that time on a Saturday AND the only location that actually had the trailer available as I needed to pick it up THAT DAY. Something definitely wrong with that, if I had not looked closely at the FULL list I would have probably found an alternative. YOUR WEBSITE NEEDS FIXING.

Absolutely horrible service. I attempted to drop off my trailer at the location I selected when making the reservation, only to be told by the representative that there was no room available on their lot and was directed by him to another location 10 miles away. Upon getting to the new location, I was again told there was no room available for the trailer and told I would have to find another location for the drop-off. At this point, I contacted the U-Haul 1-800 number and explained the issue to the representative on the phone and was told to drive to a third location where space was available. After dropping of the trailer an hour later than I had planned, I then had to speak to another representative using the 1-800 number to ensure I would not be charged for the inconvenience your company had placed upon me. I found the lack of communication from all of the U-Haul staff I talked to extremely frustrating, especially from the staff at my initial drop-off location, which should have contacted me the night before the drop-off date to inform me of their lack of space and to set-up an alternative location. On top of that, the representative whom sent me to a location without ensuring there was adequate space is ridiculous. This experience has ensured I will never rent from U-Haul again because of the inconvience they have caused without any sort of compensation. I had a legal contract with U-Haul which was broken and find the whole lack of customer service throughout the whole process ridiculous.

We were told the truck was full with gas, with the indicator showing a little below Full. We thought this was how it registered as full since we were told it was so. Before drop off we filled it up, as instructed, and the indicator was way past the Full line. So this told us it wasn't full when we picked it up. We spent $68 to fill it completely full and had it been completely full when we rented it, we would not have had to spend as much.

When a customer moves to a new city, choose a local drop off point, not one 60 miles away. The customer should not have to be an "inventory shuttle driver" to keep your inventory spread out evenly. Pay your dealers to do that.
