BEWARE!! THIS PLACE IS TRASH! The employees are extremely rude! I waited 50 minutes past my pick up time until the rude manager showed up as the other employees sat around because they couldn’t check me in apparently. I was told a quarter tank in the truck/ and I jump in and half a mile down the road I see it has 6 miles till empty! I call the manager back and she says it isn’t her problem and that I should have brought it back sooner!! Charged me $93 just to drive 20 miles! On top of this mess, there is a broken crack pipe (took pics) and an empty bud light bottle under the seat rolling around! Needless to say, I have contacted customer service and awaiting for my refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! UHAUL- you ought to be ashamed to allow this place to stay open. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! The other review by “EMILY” below is the girl that was booking with me at the same time. We both had a miserable experience. STAY AWAY!

The truck itself was fine... but the employees at the location were extremely rude, specifically what seemed to be the owner. She wasn’t even there when I arrived for my reservation time and the other employees had to call and set it up over the phone with the manager as she is the only person who knows how. When I dropped off the truck she was extremely rude to me and her workers. She had accused me of not filling the tank back to original gas level though I had put more than enough. The place smells awful, is a disaster, and it just is not somewhere I would rent a truck from again.

This location should be closed down. When I picked the vehicle up they could not find the reservation. Even after I showing the worker my copy of the reservation she did not know how to access the information. After several attempts she was able to access the information. She did not know how to process the reservation. She had to call someone else to process the reservation. She gave me the phone to speak to the person who she called to process the reservation. I was very reluctant because I had no idea as to who that was on the other end of the phone. The women on the other end of the phone wanted me to give her my credit card information. I was extremely sat back by this. I asked the worker in the store where I was why do I have to give someone on the phone my credit card information. She said she did not know how to process the reservation. I told them both the one on the phone and the one in the store that I will never come back to this store ever again I will go to Durham before I come here again. I gave the lady on the phone my credit card information. The lady in the store was wanting me to leave without having any paperwork for the vehicle. I asked where was my paperwork and she said it will be sent to me via email. I told her(the lady in the store) that I wanted some paperwork to walk with. She finally had the lady on the phone to send the paperwork to the printer at the store. I received a she with some information on it and some of the information was incorrect. The paperwork showed the vehicle had a full tank but the vehicle showed 3/4 of a tank. The millage on the paper showed the miles to be 1526. The truck in question showed the miles to be 1642. I showed them how dirty the vehicle was outside and inside. The inside had a strong odor of someone had been smoking. The ash tray was a sure sign that someone had been smoking in the truck. I had one of the workers to look the vehicle over with me and he saw what I saw. He noted on my copy of my paperwork the correct millage and the gas level as well as how dirty the vehicle was. I told the lady in the store what I had done and she went out to take pictures of the inside of the vehicle. I left the store thinking I will have a problem when I go to turn the vehicle in. I was turning the vehicle in today and it was a much older women there. She processed the vehicle in. I did not say anything about the problem I had when I was getting the vehicle because I wanted to see if the information was noted from when I checked the vehicle out. Sure enough it was not. She wanted to charge me because the vehicle only had 3/4 tank of gas when it was noted on the paper it was suppose to have a full tank, which was incorrect. She wanted to charge me for 250 miles of use as appose to the 134 mile that were the actual use. She made reference to how dirty the vehicle was. Now I am having to go over the entire episode with her She finally processed the paperwork correctly

The pick up location was good. but the lock was not on the gate properly to pick up the truck. Luckily the workers at the location were still there and were able to help with the gate and the lock. They didnt really understand my online check in and they wanted to go home so they got the key for me. Maybe educate the workers on the online check in process and I wasnt just on my phone and taking selfies for nothing!

UHauls on line rental application / process is flawed. I registered on line, created an account and reserved the vehicle. Then I had to do it all over again at the rental location. It took 30 minutes and was the opposite of convenient. The place was dirty, it was 90+degrees out and I was forced to stand in the hot sun if the parking lot, using my own data plan to upload pictures of the truck, my drivers license etc.

They were slow, rude and disorganized. I arrived ten minutes before pickup at 10:20 and did not leave until 11 because there was a lock on the fence that housed the UHauls and they could not get it open and did not tell me what was going on. The staff did not seem to feel that customers were an important or necessary part of their business.

Very accommodating, polite, good service. The reason I didn’t rate higher was because of the shop setting (second hand store) was not very neat. It doesnt matter to me or the service provided wasn’t deterred from the environment but bc of it I don’t feel comfortable rating the highest.

Pick up process SHOULD be improved greatly. I was scheduled to pick up at 8am but didn't get the van until 9:46am. Uhaul website told me that they are unable to rent time after trying to complete step by step verification. Customer service had me on hold for an hour and 15 mins before realizing she could transfer me to reservations and get my issue resolved in 5 minutes. I lost money by not being on time for my event and I'm a bit upset.

The wrong lock was on the truck we were supposed to rent. After attempts to access lock, we had to have a service representative from Uhaul online call the manager/owner of this location. The owner had to come to the location and let us in the truck. Luckily, it only took a few minutes for her to arrive. Also, we rented two different types of dollies and only one was in the truck. We had to go in and ask for the other one we rented and go searching through the building to find it. Customer service at this location was not good and overall it took us about 40 minutes to get our truck when it should have only taken a few minutes.

The location gave me keys, didn’t offer to look at the truck before rental, I had to ask and get her outside to confirm damage was acknowledged. I turned in rental during business hours but there was no one there to check it in. The man there spoke no English and couldn’t direct me to someone to help. I just get the bill and I’m being billed for gas when I returned it filled as it was when I left. I will definitely rethink using U-Haul after this experience. Definitely won’t use this location again.

Truck was in a locked gated area. Could not open gate lock. Had to wait for owner of property to come onsite and open the lock. Had to wait over an hour before I could get the truck.

I had to put gas in the truck on way to the apartment before the move, it was on Empty. Also, appliance dolly I ordered was not on the truck; I didn't need it for packing, I needed it for unloading. I made due with something else at my home.

We were told the vehicle was on full when we received it. Unfortunately we really did not pay attention to the gas gauge as we assumed they were telling the truth. But when we went to fill it up after going approximately 15 miles it cost over $11 to fill it up. I am sure the vehicle gets more 1-1/2 miles per gallon and do not feel it is proper that I had to pay to fill their tank which was not properly checked. There is No Way we used over 7 gallons of gas to go less than 15 miles. I would like to be reimbursed in some manner for this error.
