I scheduled/reserved a rental for a 15 foot on July 11, 2026 for 1 way from NM to FL. My reservation stated to pick up on July 30, 2026 at 10:00 am just to keep getting pushed back to 1:00 pm. Come July 30, the truck was rented out for a local move the day or days prior and the individual kept extending their rental of the truck on the day I was to pick it up even though I scheduled mine 3 weeks earlier. I was told pretty much just sit and wait and if they extend again, then I'm out of luck because someone scheduled a 15 foot for the next day and that I wouldn't be able to have the 15 foot truck. I felt that it is terrible that I can reserve a truck and someone else has priority over me when they can continue to extend their use of the truck and leave me without a truck. SO, the reserving process is crap. I was also told that if I wanted a truck if I didn't get mine, that I would need to go to Las Vegas, NV to go get it and nothing within a 100 mile radius. That's 12 hours from where I am. I finally got the truck at 2:30pm from a local dealer, who doesn't clean or ensure the truck is in good shape before renting it out again. I also was left with a 1/4 of a tank of gas when I believe it should be full upon next rental due the amount it cost to rent a truck. I will not be doing this kind of business with U-Haul again if it means a reservation means nothing and I can be shit out of luck on truck because it's rented out to someone who just came along and asked for it when I have priority.

When we arrived, there was no key in the lock box. There was also no representative on site. After calling customer service, there was no key in the second lock box either. We had to receive our key from the drop off box which delayed our department for close to 30 minutes. It was very inconvenient and I would not recommend this location.
