The guy is overwhelmed with the amount of people of come to the store for gas and small purchases (cigarettes, lottery,etc) he always goes back and forth for uhaul customers. I came in before noon but checked out at 12:15.Muammer K.

I am physically disabled and the staff were callous and ignorant of this. They were adamant that everything must be done online and were upset that i was bothering them when an error occurred with my check in. I had to clean the snow and ice off of my rental truck myself.Chris W.
Awful experience. 2 days before rental I get a call saying no trucks available at my chosen location that I booked 2 months ago going to another location across town, when charging for KM that is extra expense. Day of rental I get a call from that location saying no trucks and phone UHaul number. I get sent to a 3rd location with an extremely rude attendant and wait half an hour before finally getting the trunk. There were chip bags in the cab with chips all over the floor. My experience with UHaul is AWFUL, this is the 2nd time with similar problems being sent to multiple locations to get a truck the day of rental. You have NO organization whatsoever.Paul S.

I didn't realize that there is NO u-haul staff in the location so I went to pick up directly. It costed me almost 1 hour to check in(online check in didn't go through, customer service didn't answer the call, and the gas station staff is busy and not patient). Trash was found in the seats. I am happy with last time rental, but not happy with this time. Thanks. JunJUN L.
I had reserved the truck and done the online check-in. When I got to the location the staff was unwilling to finish the rental process unless I had a key code to show him on my cellphone. I spent over an hour on the phone with a UHaul representative trying to sort out what was wrong. Turns out I needed to have rented it in "truck share" (whatever that is)to get the keycode. In the end after over an hour on the phone she still couldn't sort it out and the staff at the location finally decided to finish the rental manually at the location which they had refused to do before. That took less than 5 minutes. The truck was fine, the price reasonable but the service was awful. Don't rent from the Cyrville rd location in Ottawa. Though I have heard that other UHaul locations are no better. I really can't recommend them even though the truck and the price where both good.Peter K.

Couldn't find the keys. - Our truck was not available, we had to take a different one. - Mobile pickup process was very long and complicated, site doesn't work with Firefox. - Took us nearly an hour to pick up, we missed an appointment. - Customer service lady on the phone was kind and helpful.Alan W.
The weather stripping on the driver's side door was falling off an was a tripping hazard. The gentleman running the location was very helpful. My original booking was at a different location and was transferred to this one without any notification - it was extremely frustrating.Damien O.
I got there at 5.20 my reservation was for 5.45, I was told they were already closed. Actually closed at 4 that afternoon. I tried calling customer service about it i was on hold for about a half hour when someone showed up and said they could help me. Did the paper work, through me the keys told me it was in the back, I find the vehicle and it's blocked in, no one went over the vehicle with me, I took all my own pics of all the damages including 3 cracks in the windshield. The inside had garbage on the floor. If you look at my history I rent often from U-Haul. I have never had an issue. I will not be going back to this location ( I only went there due to a U-Haul rep directing me to go to this location.Dean M.

My Uhaaul was rented for 11 to 1 p.m. I got there and was told I did not have a uhaul reservation when i kept showing the reserved uhal from my email. After about 30 minutes I finanally got the keys. When we got in the Uhaul it smelt like feces and was filthy. We brought the truck back at 1:30 because that is the time we needed to complete the task. We filled the truck back with gas and drove it back. When we got back it was slighly below. So now we have to fill it more and now the gas was over by alot. Did we get compensation for that? Absolutely not. The whole experience was a absouletly horrible and I will never be going there again.Michee J.

Location was excellent and very friendly. However this was the THIRD location I had to go to to pick up a truck. I booked online at the first location but showed up and there was no truck. Called uhaul to find me a truck and I was sent to a second location 20 minutes away and again there was no truck. Called uhaul again and after an hour on hold my call was disconnected. Changed my reservation online to the third location, ANOTHER 20 minutes away, and finally there was a truck. Over an hour of extra driving, and extra kilometres in the uhaul that I had to pay for. It took the attendant 1 hour to figure out my rental on line, despite that I had checked in hours before getting to their place. I had rented a dolly and pads. The truck/attendant didn't have these items ready. I had to wait a while for the attendant to find a dolly for me. They didn't have pads to protect my furniture. However, I had included the pads in my truck reservation. I had to make it without pads The attendant got frustrated with my requests and became rude. I had to be very patient. He was unprepared and seems to need more training on how to do his job properly and to learn more about good customer service. Also, this is a convenience store and a busy gas station at the same time. People can't pay a the pump so they have to go in the store to pay for gas. This was an inconvenience for the attendant and myself, because customers coming in the store to pay for gas kept interrupting my deals with the uhaul rental/attendant. Bad experience.Alejandro H.
I selected 7 am pickup and the system would not let me pick up the truck until 8 am saying that Stinson fuel only opened at 8 which was not true. So I had to wait until 8 to get the uhaul. This should be changed in the system to prevent recurrence for others!Alex P.

Please let the customers know upon renting a truck if, as in my case, wasn't told that the vehicle was a USA product with a speedometer that does not show km per hour along with mph...I had to plug in my GPS to better control my speed in km...I'm not sure if illegal to drive in Canada without KM speed guidance. Other than that the truck was very good!Andy P.

After booking my truck online and showing up where it said to, I was informed that location for longer had trucks. I then drove to the conventry road location where they informed me of another location where I needed to go ( they had the address listed in their system but I did not have any of those details. All in all, the running around to get the truck I rented took an extra hour of my time and made for a stressful operation. Please get better organizedJoseph C.

Vehicle covered in snow and ice . We had to clean it off and go and get the vehicle in the back. It had no gas . we had to wait for 30 minutes for our 8:00 am reservation before the agent would fill the paperwork. Overall bad customer service experience. Would not go through U-hall again.Bruce P.

When using this location the individual did not inform me that this was not a U-Haul location he was a individual who was renting space in a gas station. By the time I got the truck back at the hour the renter had asked me to return the truck by, he had gone for the day and there were only gas station employees left to deal with. The place I rented this from where the individual has an office in a gas station also doubles as a junkyard. When I went to return the truck I parked the truck behind the building believing that to be the best spot to leave the truck. The gas station employees got very angry with me saying that I had blocked emergency access to the gas station. I was unable to reverse the truck and get it out of the parking situation it was in because the gas station employees continued to pull in cars into the yard I believe they were in junk cars. The employees informed me that I would get a By-Law ticket for parking where I did, however the employees were not very helpful and would not move the cars that they had put in my way and blocked in the vehicle. A long argument in sued in order to get the employees at the gas station to move their junk cars out of the way so that I could safely back up the vehicle. I am a professional driver with a D class license, I informed the employees that there was not enough room to back out my moving truck without damaging their various vehicles they had strewn about. After a long argument one of the employees in frustration finally got in to the vehicles and moved them around so that the rental truck could be put back in a required safe position. This location is a accident waiting to happen, anyone with a G drivers license and does not have experience driving larger vehicles would certainly have damaged the moving truck trying to get the truck in or out of the location. I think you are putting yourself at a high degree of liability using this location. As well it should be clearly indicated that this is one man operating out of a gas station and that the gas station bears no responsibility for the rental trucks. Unprofessional behaviour. The manager who is responsible for the equipment rental was not in the store. There was only one employee and he was too busy to discuss the rental. I had to wait an hour to pick up the truck and an hour to drop it off. They didn't give us a contract to sign and didn't provide a receipt when the truck was dropped off. They didn't provide details on how much fuel would cost. At the end, they didn't provide anything and told me to go home and they will call me in the morning. The manager called me a week later and told me that I dropped off the truck past the time (even though I dropped it off well before then). Next time, please have more employees. People come there to be moving things the day of; all the storage reservation times and move out times get messed up if I have to wait over an hour to even pick up the truck.Gnanaganeshan T.

This is a great location if you cannot make it to a main location. The workers/owner of the gas station made sure I had what I needed but you cannot get any additional items to help with the move (i.e. blankets, other moving stuff that I can't think of, etc.).Keisha G.
Picked up rental at this location and compared to the Coventry location it was a pleasant experience. Unlike Coventry where you are made to wait up tp 1hr until the one employee on duty gets thru the 15-20 people that have prearranged pickup. The 1 person had me setup and out the door in less than 20 min including inspection of truck. To bad they don't have a wider selection of trucks, Would definitely use the again if they had more inventory available.George B.
You sent us a 26 ft when we ordered a 20 ft, it was way more difficult to drive, & it didn't come with the dolly & cart we ordered with it. also, when i ordered it online it said we would have over 200 miles, but when we dropped it off we apparently went over the cap of 170 miles so we had to pay extra.KayLee P.

The location was not the next closest to our home from our requested location. It was farther away! Also I ordered blankets and I had to go pick them up from another location (closer, and had 26 foot trucks) which put a big kink in our schedule. Additionally, because the location was farther, we paid more for mileage. When we called to complain they said they were putting in a request to return the mileage; however, our overall experience was so bad him that hardly feels like enough. At this point we'll just never use uhaul again.Stephane P.

I would NEVER recommend your company to anyone. Very terrible experience. I had 2 family members help and they too were unimpressed. I was given a location to drop off in Gloucester on Cryille Road. I had a family member go into the gas station. We were told to not drop it off at this location but to go to Coventry instead. The gas attendant was locking up. We figure he didn't want to process our drop off. Even though Uhaul trucks where in the back lot! and there was a drop off box for the key and contract. We dropped it off there as per our instructions on the contract. The gas attendant was exceptionally rude! WowWendy B.

The man at the counter was confused, he made me redo the steps I had already done on the my online account because he didn't understand that it was an online reservation. He kept helping other people instead of us when we arrived first, and another man who did not appear to work there kept standing loitering around and talking to us and the employee. If I had been aware the location was not a uhaul depot but a gas station with a single uhaul van I would not have had my order hereJen S.

Our original truck was not at the location we booked it at on Industrial road. The gentleman there was NOT HELPFUL AT ALL and it was extremely frustrating he very casual said it would be there 4 hours later and we should come back and there was nothing he could or would do to help us. However, after about 15 minutes on the phone with UHAUL, the guy that helped me was efficient and the staff at the new location were much better. However, I would probably not use uhaul again because of this experience unless we get a at least partial refund on this order. I do not trust that the truck we order will be at the location at the time we ordered it for which is essentially your whole business . Because of this we were delayed over an hour.Ashley C.

the person in charge didn't want to accept the truck delivery, claiming that he has no space, but the whole parking lot was half empty. I don't know how you make a contract with such service providers. He arrogantly asking me to offload the doilley from the truck while he was putting his hands in his pockets. Communications, customer service is ZERO. An experience from hell with your services. The logistical chain effect triggered by your incompetence caused pain and struggles for me and my family with serious financial, economic, emotional and legal ramificaitons.Raja H.

The wraps we ordered were located in a storage area in a heap. This surprised me because I was advised last October when I rented a U-Haul to go to Ontario that if I did not fold the wraps that I would be charged a fee for not doing so...I folded them before returning them, for sure!sandra M.

Unacceptable. guy at uhaul claimed it was ok 6 pm. hope there no nsf fees either. most stressfull move ever. can provide statements and pics if neededChristianne T.
When we picked up the truck at this location, the guy made us wait for 10 minutes to begin with. then he argued with me about someone else being able to drive the truck with a valid driver's licence. He didn't perform an inspection on the truck and there was garbage both inside the cab and bed of truck. there was also graffiti on the truck as well. there was also no gas in the truck and we had to fill it up ourselves. I would not recommend this location to future customers and as a result of this, I will not be renting from U-Haul after this move is complete.melissa P.

Website was down and it took 45 minutes to get the truck. Employee at Stinson Fuels had to serve other customers before trying to help. Also, preferred location was changed without any notice being given and there was no call to let me know where and when I'd be picking up the truck. Natalie at the Ottawa regional office helped solved the problem in a very professional manner. Horrible experience other than speaking with Natalie.Brent P.
