Please review your drop-box contents at more regular intervals. Not sure who dropped the ball but it's unbelievable to me that a national company has trouble registering its own vehicles in a timely manner. That vehicle has been sitting in your parking lot since 3/25/21 evening and my receipt stated 3/27/21 as the return date. I have every intention of contacting this office's franchise owner and U-haul headquarters.Duane C.
Uhaul.com app is worthless. I was unable to complete the process using the website. The app failed to function properly when the truck was returned. When the truck was ordered, i elected to reject the additional insurance, but was charged for it. Definitely needs some IT help to correct the issues. Reserved a van Monday for A few hours on Tuesday morning at The U-Haul closest to my home needed the van to Locally move 4 Porch chairs and a sm.Table. Tuesday morning As I was leaving to pickup the reserved van and my helper I received a call from U-Haul informing me vans were not available but a small 10ft truck was. I was also told the trucks location was further from my home-Only after receiving an emailed contract at completion of the rental did I learn that the per mile price was higher for the offered 10ft truck and that U-Haul would not honor the reserved van mile price given on my reservation. U-Haul customer service did nothing to Honor the per mile price of the vehicle reserved as opposites to the replacement- Renters demand and read the contract prior to picking up vehicle- I was not given the contract when I reserved or picked up the vehicle- anticipate the possibility of a last minute change made by U-Haul that involves increased costs to you- a van was sitting in the lot when the replacement truck was picked up. U-Haul customer service was unwilling to adjust increased mile charge or the increased distance cost both increases were due to changes U-Haul made to my reservation.Nancy C.

Always check the vehicles between uses. Our van had dog hair all over the passenger seat when we got into it. We had to get to a store quickly to pick up a dining room table so we brushed off the pet hair and went on our way. After we dropped it off we got a call a day later asking if we had a dog in the vehicle making it evident they do not check the vehicles between every single use.Julie B.

The reservation was made on-line and it indicated it was a 24/7 site, we arrived on Thursday evening at 8:30 pm only to find out we were unable to complete the pick-up. Someone actually called me at about 5:30 on Thursday to confirm we were picking up at 8:30 PM not AM. I have no idea why they did not inform me during the phone call that 24/7 pick up was not available. We had to return on Friday morning to pick up the van. If 24/7 pick up is not available at every site it should be identified on the web site when the reservation is entered.KURT H.
This was a frustrating experience. The process of booking was good. A couple days before my pickup date, I tried calling to see if I could pick up before 9am. It wasn't a big deal if I couldn't. I called a couple of time. No one answered. I left a voicemail. No one called back. On Thursday ( 1 day before my pickup date) I kept trying to call to ask the same question. I called 22 times! I left 3 messages. I never got a phone call back. Finally at 4:30pm on Thursday I got someone on the phone. Only for him to tell me that I didn't have a reservation. I had a quote number. I had an email saying I needed to confirm my reservation, but he couldn't find it. He helped me and got me set up with what I needed. But it was hard to get to that point. It was a Very frustrating experience.Stuart D.

The only thing was that a 'warning light' for the motor was on from the time I picked up the van. Someone should check this out! Other than that, a smooth no hassle operation from beginning to end. Very pleasant staff, excellent communication, prompt pick up and return. Definitely would use their services again.charles R.

I received this vehicle with 1/2 tank of fuel and drove it only 42 miles. I put $12 of gas in the tank before returning it to the rental center. I was taken back to find that I was charged $53 to fill the tank .Eric T.

Woman in the office was very abrupt when I called her the morning after I returned the truck. First no one answered at 9:15. Then she answered 10 minutes later but was not talking or friendly and either hung up the phone or we got disconnected. I called back a 3rd time and explained that I left key in wrong drop box. The only issue I had was the van was not available at a closer Uhaul location. I had to drive an additional 12 miles in each direction at .59 a mile to pickup and return the van. But I had no issues with the gentlemen and Village Storage.richard R.

Everything was fine, except for the charges. The Hilton Head location messed up our reservation and told us a truck was available in Bluffton as a substitute; therefore, I don't think we should have been charged the mileage to Bluffton, instead of the 3 miles or so to have picked up the truck that we had reserved in Hilton Head, as they had overbooked. It was an older truck but it did the job. The computer system was not working properly which delayed the start of trip. I had previously put in all my information online. They gave me a truck that was 7/8 full and told me to return the truck 7/8 full. A reasonable request, I drove the truck a total of 15 miles. The manager told me to just Add a couple of gallons In which I did on my return. I get my bill and they added a fee of 13 dollars for adding 4 gallons. I did what they asked of me and they stick me with an added charge. First question why wouldn't you give the customer a full truck So they can return it full. I find that this basically Is stealing from the customer. I am disappointed In the lack of honor between customer and company. The 13 dollar charge is not a big deal but the principal is a big deal.Timothy P.

I made a reservation with U-Haul online sign in and then was charged a higher mileage rate when I picked up the truck and it cost me over $70 more dollars for a one day rental, bad business practices !!dirk L.
Not hide your fees. Website states $29.95 per day, added insurance for $14, expected $43.95 total with possible taxes. After 6 hours of use with a 10 mile radius total for move and return of truck, total amount charged in the end.... Over $100.. Ummm what?? Gas didn't move whatsoever, $25 cleaning charge? Like what guys?? If you're going to charge ridiculous fees, at least be upfront at the beginning. Instead of advertising $29. Never again.Lindsey R.

We had a reservation for 5pm to pick up a truck using the mobile check in process. We had an internet install at the new house and they ran into issues and were there for 8 hours, well over even the extra time we'd planned into our schedule for potential issues. We called the uhaul location to ask if we could be a few hours late and they said yes, we had it for 24 hours with mobile pickup and we're good. When we arrived we followed the instruction and it told us our reservation expired. I tried chat on uhaul's site and got no answer. Called your 800 number and was on hold forever. Called both numbers for the pickup location which was closed. Thank GOODNESS after about 30 minutes of panicking we noticed a sign near a gate with a number to call if the gate wouldnt open- even though it was after gate hours, we tried and thank GOODNESS the lady answered and happened to live on site, opened the gate and got us in and got us a key. She was a HUGE help and we are so grateful to her. She had issues with our reservation in the system too but found a way to make it happen for us and it absolutely saved the move. No one else had availability. I highly suggest you fix that issue- and allow mobile pickups after hours past the exact pickup time, as we all know, things happen on moving days. She even said this happened before. Please fix this. I'm not happy with uhaul but I'm VERY satisfied with that location and the woman who helped usBrian B.

We were unable to find information about certain dashboard dials in 10 ft truck. There was sap on the windshield that had been spread out over windshield by wiper blades. Had to stop and use alcohol to get it off.Stephen H.
