Bldg was clean and staff very helpful and professional. As a senior citizen, I would appreciate seeing a certain number of small, economically priced storage rooms available nearer to the front entry reserved only for us. The building is humongous, and small economical rooms are inaccessible for elderly, especially for those with canes or walkers. I had to pay more than expected for a closer and larger room for only a few things to avoid a mile-long walk and stairs way in the back that I can't climb.

rose a | First ImpressionsFirst time using a storage facility. Didn't realize the size of it. Being an elderly person, I had to walk much too far for my stall, once I discovered where it was. Can you get some electric carts like grocery stores have? I finally asked to get a closer one to the entrance and discovered the closer you are to it, the more expensive it is. Although more expensive, I got a closer one anyway, and the lady at the service desk kindly helped me to locate my stall and unpack a few things for it.

constance s | Overall ExperienceWhen we arrived to take our items from the storage unit, we were told that the facility was closing at 5, in less than half hour. I asked if that meant the office only and was told it also included the storage facility. When I said this was unexpected and not what I paid for (as the website and employees clearly stated I would have 24hr access to the storage unit), the employee merely shrugged and walked away. We then attempted to remove all our items, but were stymied by the out of service elevator. On a busy holiday weekend when many people are trying to move in/out, you couldn't ensure that the elevators were working. The freight elevator was working only sporadically, and required the help of a maintenance worker, who understood how it worked. The rushed timeframe and lack of a working elevator made this unreasonably stressful and difficult. A number of other parties were also scrambling to retrieve their items and it was made even more chaotic and crowed with no working elevator. The least you could have done was given us more time to work to make up for the broken elevator. As on a previous visit, the employee on site named Alex was extremely helpful and courteous and made it possible for us to complete what we needed to do. This facility was not well-managed, did not provide the services we paid for, and was not open and available the hours that were promised to us. I am sorry to provide such a negative review and rating, but that is my honest assessment given our experience. Please do better.

Elvin C | Overall ExperienceI was treated with courtesy and respect by the representative I saw upon check-in at 985 Massachusetts Avenue, but as I was at the counter, the other counter staff engaged in behavior that distracted them from serving the other customers (such as an unnecessary argument over sharing food), who expressed disdain for unnecessary wait times. I broke a glass bowl at one point, and a staff member (I believe his name is Alexander) promptly volunteered to clean it up for me. His act of kindness was the most remarkable part of my customer experience. Furthermore, a supervisor (whose name I do not recall) who oversaw the queue of vans moving to and from the loading dock was very helpful in assisting my friend back our van up the dock. Given that August 31st and September 1st are two busy days for moving in Greater Boston, I anticipated the high volume of movers navigating the facility, hence the slight difficulty with moving my belongings in and out efficiently. I commend Alexander for his kindness and professionalism, but I was disappointed with the lack of concern from the counter staff on the 31st. Overall I would still recommend this location for moving purposes.

Although your team is amazing and helpful, our movers ended up charging us more due to the long time it took to get the freight elevator working properly, which was a big inconvenience.
