Staff members were friendly but when we lost our keys to our lock they aren't allowed to take the lock off even with our permission but come to find out there is a $50 lock cutting fee if we left our lock on our unit which we found out through the app while completing the move out process. We would've happily paid that fee but instead a male staff member (i don’t remember his name) instructed us to go to Home Depot and buy an angle grinder and grind the lock off our unit. We spent over $200 and 3 hours over 2 days because the battery on the grinder kept dying, trying to get our lock off the unit after we had to extend the rental on the cargo van we rented to clear out our unit which costs us even more money. If there is a lock cutting fee then we should’ve been offered that service. We even informed the male staff member that we were renting the van to clear out our unit and moving out. We moved across the country to Florida of course it is common for things to be lost in a move ( we had other keys that we thought were the unit keys but were the keys to the lock on the uhaul we drove 20 hours across the country) and unfortunately lost keys cost us over $400 in an angle grinder that we cant return because it was used, PPE so we wouldn't damage the door or get hurt and u-haul fees for our cargo van. Our experience with this facility was great up until we found out about a lock cutting fee that would’ve saved us a lot of money and time.
