Employees need to wear a fucking mask. Austin, Texas has cases of Covid-19 shooting up like crazy. I could be immunocompromised and it's necessary for me to move and interact with employees at pickup (I didn't think that'd be the case when reserving online). Like seriously it isn't that hard to wear a god damn mask.

The employee inside the store (1032 E. 46th St location in Austin TX) was not wearing a mask, even though all business employees and customers are required to wear a mask in Travis County. I chose contactless pickup for a truck rental, but the website was not working when I arrived so I had to go inside which I would have preferred to avoid entirely. The employee not wearing a mask inside the store confirmed my fears about in person pickup. I will not be returning to this location as long as the mask order is in effect in Travis County.

I made a reservation with the app. The app directed me to a different location than the one I originally chose. When I arrived, I was unable to obtain the vehicle without interacting with a Uhaul employee, which I would have preferred not to do on account of the virus. I asked the employee to put on a mask before I interacted with her. She was offended by this request and told me it was "her building". I said if she is going to interact with the public then she should be responsible and take the incredibly easy measure of wearing a mask. Anyway, she didn't even have one. Moving on, she apparently deleted my reservation and created a new one for me. When I made the original reservation, I declined the CDW. I didn't want it, didn't need it. When I returned to the location and checked the truck back in via the app, I saw that she had included it. I went inside to speak to her about it (she still wasn't wearing a mask) and she said the CDW is not optional, that it's required. This is false. I have rented trucks from Uhaul dozens of times. I would appreciate being refunded for the CDW, which you will see I declined by looking at my original reservation. Appart from the CDW: Uhaul should educate its staff about the value of basic (and frankly not difficult) measures such as wearing a mask. If your employees are not intelligent enough to take these measures on their own, Uhaul should require them. In the meantime, I will not be returning to Uhaul unless it is absolutely necessary.

Best experience I've ever had renting a vehicle. Your IT department should get major kudos and raises for the online renting process. I was able to easily complete my transactions without ever needing to even speak with anyone. Awesome!!!!!!

I was charged for things that I did not receive. The employees were working very diligently, however, there were many problems with the reservation. I did online check in -- however, there was no key in the lockbox. I did not receive dollies or pads -- however, I was charged for them, despite contesting that upon returning the vehicle.

Clearly marked parking spots would help. The current parking is kind of strange due to the slope. Parking at the side would be more convenient. In addition to this, the process for the self-checkout should be clearer. I had to go indoors and talk to a staff member to understand the specifics.

I have never been more screwed over by a company than by the Uhaul, located at 1032 E. 46th Street, in Austin, Texas. I rented a 10-foot moving truck with 20 miles purchased for 24 hours. First, they charged me additional mileage, stating that I went 66 miles when I only drove 20 miles. I left the Uhaul Truck at Uhaul when I rented it and picked it up when I needed it to save on mileage. I drove 7.4 miles to my home and 7.4 miles back and left it again at Uhaul were I picked it up, with no stops. I returned the next day to pick it up as I was still in my 24-hour rental period. I literally drove 2.1 miles down the road to my storage facility and then back to Uhaul to drop off the Truck. Where before returning I put $6 gas from the gas station 500 feet from Uhaul. The Truck gets 10 miles per gallon, and I put in 3 gallons at $1.99 per gallon. So I drove 18.2 miles and on my contract, I said I would drive 20 miles total, so I gave them 10 additional gallons for free and still was charged for fuel. Yet, they say I drove 66 miles and charged be a fuel charge as well(I left the truck parked on an incline, and I bet that is where the fuel level was read which would show less than what it actually had, I thought that might happen but, not to this extent)Not to mention that every day before I went to pick it up to go to my storage the Assitant Manager called to be to ask where the keys were. I told her that I was not done with the Truck, and it was not due back till 6 pm that day. I asked if that was a problem, she stated it was not, but they close at 5 pm, I asked what do I do when I return it, and she said to drop the keys in the dropbox and that nothing more. I did as she instructed, and as I was looking up, I looked over my paperwork and saw that there was an after-hour check-in process done online. I began doing it and realized I needed a picture of the mileage to complete the process, and the system will not let you complete the process without uploading an image of the distance. The Assitant Manager never said anything about the after-hour process, or I would have been prepared. So the next day, I get emailed a receipt for a $127 charge for what should have only been $50. I planned my move strategically as Uhaul, in some cases, charges for mileage. So every mile counts! If things could not get worse, as I was driving down to Uhaul to discuss the above billing issues, I get another email receipt for a $220 charge for damage. I thought to myself; this has to be a mistake as I know for a fact that I did not hit anything or would have let them know. I was charged for a huge gash to the rear of the Truck. I never hit anything at any time while it was in my possession. Come to find out Uhaul is suppose to do a walk around the vehicle prior to taking position of the Truck. At this time you and the employee notate any prior damage. A walk around never took place. Additionally, why was this billed to me hours later after they charged when they checked the

Equipment was clean because it was new. The store was a mess, the rental wasn't ready, manager was rude. I got charged extra for gas after I put gas in it before dropping it off.
