One of the service guys was very disrespectful. He snatched my keys from me. Yelled at me in front of everybody. Tried to overcharge me for gas. Climbed on me to get in the truck while I was still in it. Told me I didn’t look like I had $25,000 to repair the truck if something happened to it. Very disrespectful and I will NEVER go back there or refer them to anyone. He also tried to charge me a $200 late fee because he was so upset with me but the truck was there 8 minutes before it was due back. The guy that helped me in the end was amazing!

I think this is the worst experience we have had so far from a customer service perspective. First of all, our reservation was delayed 1 hour at the very last minute. We went there and they said they had no truck and they didn’t know if they were going to have one. (This is the time we had our entire lives in boxes) They told us to go away and that they were going to call us back. We got one call around 2 hours later from the original time, we didn’t answer the phone as we were moving boxes around! We got a tex message saying “U need a truck”, and we replied “yep” (we didn’t have idea who was on the other side of the phone) and then the U-Haul staff member replied “then answer the phone” . How you dare to talk to someone like that?? We were told the truck was there, they rushed us to go to pick it up. We arrived at the location, we were given an estimate for 2 days (even if we just reserved the truck for one day) and we were told to return the truck the next day, that there was no problem, we were supposed to be charged for one day. That was very suspicious... Then, we go to our place to take the boxes and we realized there were no dollies or anything in the truck (which we had reserved and we mentioned to them during the entire conversation, the man even told us he was going to charge us for something extra, even though we reserved it, we didn’t care because we were tired and just wanted the truck) anyways... we called back and the person just kept saying “I’m busy” and kept hanging up the phone. We had to go back to the place (miles are counting against us at this point) and we ask for the dollies. They told us we had the dollies, cause they left those next to the truck. they kept treating us as thieves, as if we would want to steal 2 pieces of metal! We asked them to check the cameras, as they insisted we took the dollies. They replied, “you check the f$&ng cameras” . How in the world can you treat a customer like that. The man started to speak in Arabic, we were truly lucky that our friend who was helping us to move was speaking Arabic too. He talk to the man for around 30 mins and he finally gave us 3 of the 4 things that were in the reservation. We went away and we ended up returning the truck that night, because we couldn’t trust them, even if we were told we were just going to be charged for one day if we were returning the car the next day. In summary, worst experience ever, we will definitely avoid U-Haul at all costs. Please manage your subsidiaries better.

First, the man running this very small Uhaul dealer / gas station tried to overcharge me. It was not until I started to call Uhaul corporate that he backed down and found "the solution" to why the charge was going to be 30% more than what I had already reserved and paid online at uhaul.com. Then, upon returning the trailer, he came out and told me his lot was full and that I would have to take it to another Uhaul dealer. I was already running late for a meeting and did not have time to do that. He got angry, walked away, and forced me to disconnect and move a very large trailer around by myself, with no assistance. He did not come back outside to offer any paperwork or final sign-off on the rental. Feeling very mad and mistreated, I left. This experience will definitely cause me to look at other rental companies next time.

When I showed up to my initial scheduled location there were no trucks. I ended up going to 2 different locations before finally picking up my truck. The people I hired movers that were waiting on me and due to this inconvenience I had to spend extra money. This type of service is unprofessional and unacceptable. The final location was perfect though!

I was charged for a dolly and furniture pads I never ordered but when I pointed out this mistake the Uhaul representative told me “oh no it’s just an estimate you got earlier, the prices can change.” When I examined my receipt and pointed out the extra $20 I was charged he was nice and tried to change it but couldn’t so I was told he would call me later when someone helped him. But so far I have yet to hear anything back so it seems doubtful I’ll get a refund.
