I would actually like some kind of credit. The location that I picked to get the truck switched without any notice. I was supposed to pick up the truck at stowaway self storage in mine hill NJ. Went there first and completely wasted my time. Truck was up the street at another vendor. Once we figured that out, with zero help from u-haul(I only figured it out from the map picture). We arrived at national investment Corp and found the truck number we were given. Followed the app, license and all were approved. Chat conversation was ended and I couldn’t comment about the debacle, but that wasn’t the end. We were given a combination code for the lock box. Well the combo didn’t work and the lock was broken. Wasted 40 minutes trying to get the lock open( and called the contact number and never got a return phone call) . We saw someone else pull up to pick up a truck. He opened the door and and the keys were in the visor. So we tried that on our number truck and sure enough, door was open and keys were in the visor. No instructions on this, weren’t told that the keys were in the visor. Complete and total waste of time. Lost an hour and a half of moving time. I Was supposed to have the truck till five. Actually brought it back by about 2:30 because the people that were helping me had to go. So now I have the truck, it’s in my responsibility. Where do i put the keys?????? I’m not leaving them in the truck with the doors unlocked!!!. I put the key back in the unfuctional drop/ lock box. Made me very uncomfortable being responsible for that vehicle without proper instructions. The door was open with the keys in it, and I’m responsible for it. Anyone could have stolen it with me as the last person using it. Really bad. I’m going to need to rent a truck again most likely this weekend and I can assure you I’m not using that location ever again. Set up is shady at best. Not a good experience. Very dissatisfied.

The lady on the desk was very rude. When I return the truck she insisted that I should leave the keys and she will email me the receipt but she charges a cleaning fee for $25 when the was clean and charged $7.61 for gas claiming it was low. I am going to dispute the charges. She should have come out to inspect the truck with me rather than insisting that I should leave the key. They are rip off. When I asked her for explanation all she said read the contract. Nothing was told at the time of pickup that there will hidden charges. Very unprofessional. Uhaul should cancel there dealership. I will not rest till I get my refund I will take it all the way to court if I have too. Very frustrating experience. And oh yea.. at the time of pickup up the whole dash board steering and seat were wet cause of the rain cause someone didn't close the door properly... They didn't even bother to clean before handing the truck to me. And also they insisted that I should return the truck 10am sat where as truck is given for 24 hrs. So because I had to return the at the time requested i should have got some prorated charges for early return but no they didn't care. Very very unprofessional. I would appreciate if someone from corporate take this issue seriously and return my refund. Thank you.

Please.. be up front with customers regarding capacity of trucks. Yur 20 foot truck is NOT 20 feet. It is 16 feet with a grandma's attic. We picked up the truck, got it back to our place, found out the true dimensions returned it, and after all that, received notification that we were charged for a day rental and mileage! Terrible.

The office staff was very polite and professional, however the personnel who assisted with getting me on the way was very uncooperative. I found out the hard way that the truck that I was given had a small problem, the key that fit the ignition did NOT unlock the doors of the cab. This required a 85 dollar roadside assistance call on the New Jersey Turnpike plus a three hour delay in my journey. The safety chains to the car carrier dragged the road to such a degree that other motorists flagged me to pull over thinking something was wrong. The truck's interior was so dirty that I had to clean the steering wheel so not to cover my hands in a "filth". The trailer's tire webbing was so poor that the receiving U-Haul literally had to cut them off to aide in removing my car. The wiring on the trailer was frayed and broke when it was removed from the truck.

I did not like that three times while I was trying to rent from this location my request were change to different location not close to me. I gave up trying to rent online and at the last moment I called the location I wanted to rent from and received the truck I wanted.

Thank you for being there on such short notice. Had to go from Jersey to Maryland to pick up a motorcycle. I used a van and borrowed some ramps from a friend. Got it right in and out. Only 2 drawbacks were there wasn't a tie down point in the right front but we made due. And there was no USB port for charging my phone, but there was the power outlets for a charger, so, All in all I give it 5 stars experience.

I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone let alone a friend I was very disappointed in the way they handled this rental situation I was quoted one price on the phone and when the bill was sent to me via email they had charged me a very different and steeper price (damage is done) but I will NEVER rent from that location or U HAUL EVER AGAIN

I would double check the logistics of the vehicle. As soon as I took the van out it had a tire pressure check and I needed to go make sure the tires had enough air for my trip! So, I went to the gas station since I was already on my way, but this should have already been checked.

Let the customer know up front where the truck is going to come from. I used the website to reserve a truck at the corner of Dover Chester Rd and Rt. 10 and didn't find out until the next day that I had to travel another 4 miles each way @ $0.99/mile to actually get it. On the other hand it was a whole lot better than the first pass where I was requesting a truck from a place that was about a mile and a half away only to be told after I was almost through checkout that I was going to have to go all the way to the center of Rockaway to get it.

First of all DO NOT ADVERTISE you are open on Sundays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM when NOBODY is present at this location on these days. Take your hours sign down. My reservation was scheduled on Sunday, Nov. 13th at 11:30 AM. I was told to get into the office earlier to fill out paper works. I arrived at this location at 10:30 AM, rang the bell many times and the automatic reply stated no one was in the office. I thought the agent was running late so, I call the number and left 2 voice mail messages. Nobody returned my call. I waited in the parking lot until 12:00 PM and decided to call one more time before I was ready to leave the property. I spoke with Tammy from customer care and she told me that this location is not open on Sundays and I had to process a self service which I did not request. So, she walked me through everything however, the dolly that I reserved was not in the truck either. I wasted a lot of productivity time and so for the other people that were helping me with this move. Thank God I was moving locally and not out of State. I work for a business company and what transpired with yours is definitely NOT A GOOD WAY OF CONDUCTING BUSINESS not only for me but also for all the other people that were at that location waiting for someone to come. While I was there waiting at least 4 more customers were in the same situation so, you definitely lost business that day. Now, I have to reserve another truck to move everything back and I am really debating to reserve one with U-Haul again.
