Pick up (self service) was a bit of a hassle, definitely not a time-saver. It took 40 min. The online rep kept telling me there was an issue and to go inside to complete check-in, but the guy at Phil's 76 had zero interest in being involved. After multiple attempts, we finally managed to complete the online process.

I've lived near this location for almost 10 years. Didn't know it was there. They do all sorts of real mechanical work besides just the common maintenance items. Also U Haul. The attendant was onsite after closing. I dropped off after hours. He didn't come out to help me unhook, but I had no trouble doing it myself.

The representative could be more friendly. When we returned the Uhaul, I asked for help removing the trailer from the hitch and he said they don't usually help with that. I said it was very heavy and we would appreciate help. He then agreed to help.

Let me clarify: the live person in the office was very helpful and successfully completed the transaction. HOWEVER, the online experience was a completely frustrating process with a rude and uncaring employee. I was signed up for the self-pickup. I sent in my driver license photo and my head shot, waited, waited, waited some more, until I was told that I could not rent in Michigan as I was from California. THIS DID NOT COME UP DURING MY RENTAL RESERVATION AT THE WEBSITE. I then asked about what could be done, and did not hear a response for over ten minutes, The on-site person came outside because he saw me still standing there and invited me into his office to finish the transaction. He said the self-pickup system is consistently a disaster for customers at his location. I wasted well over half an hour doing nothing to move forward in the process. Ridiculous.

Call center gave a completely different set of arrangements, from time of opening to renting rope, from the on-site manager. The place opened 15 minuttes later than the scheudled time (one other person had been waiting over an hour). I had been charged for insuance that I didn't need (no one even asked) and the manager snapped at me when I wanted it to be removed. (I did get it removed after the truck was returned). The manager was rather rude and gave terse answers to reasonable questions. When we dropped off the truck, another customer was wiating outside for service and I had to ask if there was service available. The manager didn't even look at us and mumbled an answer. Extremely unpleasant expereince overall.

Very BAD service....from initial online registration process which NEVER mentioned utilizing on-line apps ....to Arizona call center response to my inability to pick up the truck as promised at 9:00 AM today.....to poor pick up office staff member attitude....For which I was told I must have the 6 hour rental of the truck back by 3:00...WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE TRUCK AT 10:30 AM..... Trailer was very old and beat up. Made our reservation online weeks ago and told last minute that we could not pick up at our desired location. Had to drive 25 minutes out of the way to pick up the trailer. Very poor customer service!!!!

Although well maintained, trailer was very old (at least 20+ Years). During my 2,000 miles of travel, I never encountered another one as old from UHAUL. I guess I was just expecting newer equipment.

Could not move the passenger side mirror was supposed to be able to drop it back off at West rd in wixom MI got told I don't care what they told you on the phone this is how it is so it costed more then it has to and I had no choice at that point but to take it cause no one else had a truck for us and we had to move from not on I think I'm gonna call Ryder first cause our out of all the years I have use Uhaul i have never had these kinds of problems.also got told we had his inlybteuck but when we dropped ours off there was another truck parked there and we even brought ours back way early had it until the next day at 1pm but dropped it off that night

This vehicle had a faulty right side mirror which made it very dangerous for us on the freeway; it caused the person behind the wheel to have a permanent blind spot. When we returned the truck, the facility manager was not very helpful or apologetic about it when we pointed it out to him. Allowing us on the freeway with a truck in this condition put our lives at risk and there are laws against this type of fraudulent behavior. Furthermore, when I received my receipt via email, I noticed that I was charged a cleaning fee of $25, although I returned the truck in the same condition that I had picked it. This is a complete ripoff and I will follow up on this poor type of customer service. Totally unacceptable!
