As mentioned above the pick up lady said I would get a refund the drop off lady had no idea what to do. There was no one there to help me off load trailer and she did not even check the equipment for damages.

When I entered the building, the lady behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me (I was the only customer there), the store was very dark & I could hardly breathe with all of the cigarette smoke (I have severe breathing problems). When the employee came outside to check the truck in, he wouldn't even talk to me or look at us & my husband and I were standing right there. I will not go there again!!!

U-Haul Contract 95752473 This gentleman didn't even show me how to hook up the trailer to my truck or how the car gets secured to the auto hauler trailer. He helped a little but not very much. Didn't check lights or anything else. Pretty much left me on my own. Your traffic department has the worst customer service. They changed my pick up location without my consent. I went from driving 5 minutes to 25 min to pick up the trailer. The new location in Canton NC said they were open 12-3 and it wasn't. I was 45 minutes late arriving and he decided to close. When I contacted the owner he told me would not return to open his shop and to contact U haul customer service. That caused me to change my pick up location again. I had to drive another 25 minutes to Sylva NC in the opposite direction from Waynesville.

Place wasn't open, we were told from a neighboring business that no one showed up for work today. We were able to drop off but it took forever because we weren't familiar with the process and had to take so many photos etc. Not the dropoff we had anticipated!

Initial location of pickup was Meineke in Sylva, NC at 8:30. Got there, and no one was there. Logged into Uhaul account via phone and began step by step process to get vehicle. The vehicle we were supposed to get was not there. Instead of there being some sort of direct line to let Uhaul know and find out what we should do, the app told me to keep looking. We had to call national Uhaul customer service and were on hold for close to 30 minutes before we heard a person. This person asked us about our situation and then hung up on us. So we had to call back and wait another 30 minutes on hold. We were finally put through to someone, told them our situation and were passed on to 2 more people where we had to re-explain the situation. The final person we talked to was someone named Nick who actually tried to figure out what to do and was genuinely concerned that our truck was not at the pickup location. He searched the area and found the nearest soonest place we could pickup a truck, and this was at 12PM (3.5 hours after our initial planned time). He offered a $50 rebate which I have not seen at this time. We got the truck at the Mountain Country store and the guy there just told us to leave the key in the box when we were done. No other information was provided and he was not very helpful in answering our questions or concerns regarding the situation earlier in the morning. We were able to move within our time frame and returned the truck and keys as instructed. We got home 1 hour later and I checked my email and there was an email saying I needed to check in my vehicle using my phone and take pictures of it, the driver, etc. or I would be charged extra for turning it in late. By this time it was dark out, the location was far away. Back on customer service line again, another 15 minutes of my life wasted listening to the audio recording me prompting me to leave a review. Overall, very frustrated and disappointed with the experience. It seems crazy that Uhaul would rely so heavily on this online check in process, yet send no information to prepare the driver regarding use of this app and use during check in/out. And then, if there is a situation like ours where the truck is missing, not have a direct line to solve the problems in a timely manner. I am a young technologically savvy individual, I cannot imagine an older person trying to deal with this app. Will not use Uhaul again and will recommend against this company and share my terrible experience with others. Still waiting on that refund.



original place I was suppose to go get truck it didn't come in. uhaul sent me to a place that said they didn't rent anymore yet a lot full of trucks there. Mountain Country Store was awesome and did all they could to help.

The guy didn't go over anything just printed the contract and asked for a signature. There was crapy repair done on the truck where water could leak in with no warning (written on the back of the contract). Some of our items were damaged due to this.

This particular location was not the closest one to the place I was needing it - Western Carolina University. There were a couple other locations that were closer. The lady who helped me was very friendly and courteous.

After going in earlier in the day to tell them that I would be back in three hours to pick up the truck I return to the store not knowing where the key for the truck was. I was there a full hour waiting on them to find a key. The truck had some fast food trash in it when I opened it. Blankets were left in the trailer. When I returned the truck, they wanted to charge me for the blankets that I did not use and asked if I would fold them. I did not get charged and I did not fold the blankets.



They open at noon not earlier as advertised.
