The person who processed the return of my rental could not have been more annoyed that I was bothering him. He acted as though I was causing a big inconvenience by spending money there. I have a need for a rental truck about 10 times per year. This is my second visit there and it will be MY LAST!!

It was very difficult locating an enclosed trailer and 'Bob' at your Grey's Lake, IL location did what 3 other dealers would not do by locating the only enclosed trailer in a 40 mile radius and reserving it for me. I was in Illinois making arrangements for my mother's funeral and 'Bob' saved my stressful ordeal by going the extra mile. I am going to buy him dinner and drinks when I return to Illinois for the Estate sale!!! He is an amazing gent and a life saver for me!

My overall experience was negative. From my initial phone call to my pickup, the customer service was terrible. I felt as if I was putting them out by asking to reserve a truck. If I had more time to look for a truck, I would have never rented from them. When I picked the truck up, the man was rude again. I asked if I would be charged right away or when I returned the truck because I needed to move money from my savings into my checking account. He said I would be charged when I returned the truck. So I didn't transfer money at the time of rental. I walked out to the truck and got a notification that my bank account had been charged and went negative, thus giving me a NSF charge. I called the man in the office and asked him about it and he hung up on me. I was still in the parking lot so I walked back inside the office. He was helping other customers when I walked in. When I restated that the reason I had asked when I would be charged was because I had to move money from savings to checking to avoid a NSF, he said "It's not my problem you don't have any money, it went through on our end " I was mortified he said that at all but especially in front of other employees and customers! I will never go back to uhaul at the Wreck room with that kind of treatment and I will express my opinion on every social media platform possible to inform everyone I can.

I was given an antique piece of equipment at a location that was not convenient...A big dealer on Harlem Ave,, Oak Park, IL lied to me and believe his franchise should be pulled for what he tells potential customers...there is a lot more negative but you will need to contact me by phone 573-578-4661 if you want to hear more. It was absurd that they would charge us 14 gallons of gas when we only driven 14 miles. We filled up the gas full and even added an extra. It took us a few days and arguments to get the money back (we took pictures of the meter before and after use as proof). I highly do not recommend this place to anyone.

Will never rent from these assholes again!! Don't walk out to vehicle with you and mark gas line with you, then charge you for gas you already put in!! Fuck you uhaul!!! Next time I will go elsewhere!!!

The Wreck Room was very unprofessional with the way they handled their Uhaul services. I did not want the insurance (even though I did not look at the contract I signed (I assumed he would not charge me for insurance as I am already insured through my own insurance Co. for rentals) I was charged for insurance anyway. It was my fault for not double checking, but they are fighting me on this issue instead of working with me... very unprofessional! Now I am charged an extra day for a service I did not use, again, they are not willing to help or look at my situation... they only wish to charge me as much as they can. I would have continued to use Uhaul in the future if it wasn't for a greedy company trying to squeeze me for every dime they can. I did (after raising my concerns) agree to pay the extra charges, but they need to be much friendlier and help the customer better understand the rental process instead if turning into a very negative experience. Thank you for reading my comments and I hope this helps create better customer experiences in the future.

Thought I was renting a regular van, but got a "monster van" - high step-up to get in and higher cargo floor. With a foot in a cast, it was difficult to get in & out. No handle on drivers side to help get in, but one on the passenger side(???). Cargo doors (back & side) did not have a key entry & "automatic unlock" button on drivers doors did not work UNLESS you had the engine running - very stupid design. Getting the van & returning it was fine; van was clean & modern, so this was a plus.

Van was ready when I arrived, pick up and drop off went smoothly, no suprises to the final bill. Overall good experience and will certainly consider renting again when necessary.
